Rude front of house staff member at Camden branch

Rude front of house staff member, empty tables and whole section of restaurant closed off but empty.
We did walk-in but as the website says -walkins welcome!
Female staff member said there wasn’t any tables available rafter staring and the empty tables for an awkwardly long time. This was also my daughters choice of restaurant for her Birthday.
She said to come back in 15 mins!
Then she finally moved a chair to make a table if 4.
She was rude unprofessional and clearly didn’t want us there.
(She didn’t want to open up the other part of the empty restaurant, as she clearly didn’t want to clean it after we left). Date of visit 15 jan 2025. Camden branch.
Service was awful, a waitress put her sleeve in my pizza while serving drinks.
Pizzas not enough toppings on my pizza and it was very dry and cutlery not sharp enough to cut pizzas, table didn’t have enough cutlery, pepper mill was empty and not enough serviettes, we got them from other tables and the counter.
Then at 21.12pm while we still had drinks and pizza and hadn’t finished our meal, the female front of house staff member (the rude and unprofessional one, I didn’t get her name, she was wearing a blue glass silver pendant, dark hair, white, average build). presented the bill and a credit card machine in my face! We hadn’t asked for the bill…..she was rushing us out making us feel uncomfortable AGAIN!
It was 21.12pm not closing time.
I refused to pay the service charge as I will not pay someone/anyone to be rude to me I told her.She removed the £16 service charge.
And we will not be returning…ever.

Made an order on the 23/12/24 as it stated it would deliver in time for Christmas, delivering on the 24/12/24.

Order confirmation received but no email to state it’s been placed or passed to DPD.

No email from DPD to say they’ve got it.

Evidently not going to turn up now for Christmas, no response to the email and instagram DM’s also not helpful.

£35 wasted and let down on Christmas Eve.

Shambles.

Merry Christmas, apparently.

What an absolute shambles

I ordered 11 pizza kits for a team virtual Christmas lunch, one and a half weeks before the date I needed them. The order process was super clunky for a batch order. I requested 18th Dec as the delivery date. One kit was incorrectly dispatched and arrived on 13th of Dec, totally ruining the surprise for my team. I emailed through when I got the delivery notification, to be told 'oh no, it won't actually get delivered on that date, it is just the system being over zealous'. Low and behold, it did get delivered. I emailed straight away to say it had been delivered and that is the last comms I had with this dreadful company. Fast forward to my actual delivery day and only 8 of the 11 kits were delivered. The redelivery of the incorrect kit - nowhere to be seen. One delivery just didn't seem to exist. And one delivery was supposedly attempted - it absolutely wasn't as the recipient was there waiting for it, and no effort was made to contact me (they had my number). So today I have a team lunch for 11 and only 8 pizza kits. I have emailed over and over, but not a single reply. I get that it is a busy time of year, but don't take the orders if you can't fulfill them!! So disappointed and furious with this place. Avoid like the plague!!!!

Visited the branch in Cambridge today

Visited the branch in Cambridge today. Manager Rick was so nice. My friend wanted a cup of tea which they don’t have (only cold drinks). Rick popped down the road for her and bought a cup of tea from a coffee shop. That was service above and beyond.
Pizzas were excellent with extra dips for the crusts. Would definitely recommend.
Thanks Rick.

Pizza party success, thanks PP!

Last week we ordered 15+ doughs for our ‘make your own pizza’ party, the ordering process was simple, tracking was easy, the dough arrived packaged super securely, delivered quickly, tasted amazing and everyone had the best time making their own pizzas!

I’ve since ordered a pizza kit and Nutella ring (it’s got to be done) and we’ll be making some more pizzas this weekend too.

The team at PP are incredible. Responding to emails super quickly, advising me on the best sauce and toppings to get the authentic PP taste and just being overall the friendliest most helpful people on earth. The party went down really well and everyone loved the pizza.

Highly recommend, I’ll be ordering again (and again). Thanks team!

Special shout out to Kathy & Tobi!

Pizza Pilgrims was great from the moment I stepped in. Staff were attentive and friendly. Great location and quirky decor throughout.
Food was fantastic. By far, one of the best gluten free pizzas in Cardiff. Cocktails are great value and well made. Highly recommend the limoncello to end the meal!

Soho pizza pilgrims is the absolute best pizzeria, very generous portions, super amazing taste every time. The atmosphere in this restaurant is so relaxed, all the staff are very friendly. I usually go every couple of weeks. It's the best restaurant in london to eat authentic pizza

Very stingy with their toppings

Very stingy with their toppings. Be sure not to order the Nduja as the Calabrian sausage is virtually non-existent. I’ve eaten at the restaurant in Naples where the first pizza was made and this lot are seriously lacking. Scrooge has nothing on them. Not happy at all. I give out two stars instead of one because there were some toppings however: stingy, stingy, stingy (I won’t mention how my colour could have been a reason why they suckered me into this second-rate pizza. Not happy at all. Won’t be returning but I bet they’re not bothered.

Adequate

Adequate, however given the high price point we aren't massively impressed. Delivery was the same as cheaper brands and the quality didn't feel much different either. All around pretty greasy.

Pizz&Love

We've been subscribed to Pizza in the Post since it launched. We're vulnerable and can't go out to restaurants anymore but used to love to. This kit gives us that experience at home and honestly is some of the best pizza in the UK.

The staff are lovely and always happy to help. The last person I spoke to was Tobi and they were really friendly and proactive.

If there ever have been any problems - which can happen anywhere - they've always solved them quickly and with no fuss.

Brilliant for Gluten Free and for a family meal out

Four years ago I discovered I was gluten intolerance and the thing I missed most was pizza. The GF version at Pizza Express, Zizzi and every other restaurant or take out I went to were appalling. Then I went to Pizza Pilgrim. Oh my word, their GF base is amazing! And also, as it happens, is their service, and the other "normal" pizzas which my family hugely enjoy. Special call-out to the Camden restaurant for quality service. I highly recommend for my fellow gluten-free folk but actually to anyone who loves pizza and great service

Have made a complaint over 2 months ago. Nobody from head office contacted me. The branch said that they will do a goodwill gesture but when I've emailed nobody is coming back to me. Awful experience and I'm really disspoint3d with their lack of customer service. Especially after my husband had his drink dropped on him!
