I used Plumbstone Surveyors for a Home Buyers Report. Not the cheapest quote but I wanted someone who I could actually talk to rather than just being sent a report (you tend to get what you pay for). Alan is very helpful and thorough, excellent communication and he produced a very detailed report. He was happy to discuss his findings on the telephone.

I employed Alan to investigate a couple of ‘issues’ that had been highlighted on a Homebuyers survey which my prospective buyers surveyor had administered.

Within a week of first contact Alan conducted a damp and timber survey on our property, at the end of his visit he took the time to talk through his findings and this was quickly followed up with a detailed but easy to follow report, complete with photographs and the necessary evidence to backup his findings. He also went the extra mile in offering to speak with our buyers to answer any questions they may have.

Received a callback pretty much instantly on the weekend after requesting my quote. Mr McKeown responded very quickly to our call for help. On arrival we discussed our concerns, followed immediately by his thorough examination of underfloor area and a precise inspection of the whole property. He came fully armed with all the appropriate testing equipment: temperature, humidity, moisture, camera ... etc.
He was able to provide immediate analysis and feedback on the problem, which was very re-assuring.
The formal report, detailed in every way with diagnosis and resolutions/recommendations arrived by e-mail two days later.

We were very impressed with the work completed. Communication was prompt and very informative. The damp report produced has given us a very clear idea of the work we need to undertake to address the issues we have been experiencing, both with our roof and damp walls inside the property. We have been most impressed with Alan's professionalism and expertise and feel that his report has put us in a strong position to raise issues with the surveyor who initially produced our Homebuyer's Report when we purchased our property earlier in the year.
