good product. the first product sent was damaged. The company sent the replacement in 2 weeks time and took the damaged part away.

Sofa is lovely but experience was very poor

Sofa arrived and is lovely, but had lots of problems with getting it delivered and also being able to get in touch with the store to discuss, they would never answer their calls or whatsapp messages that are posted on their website as a way to contact, had to either send an email and await a reply or let the phone ring continuously to be deiverted to customer services who said they would get in touch with the store who would get back to me, and the store getting back only happened about 50% of the time. I was told the sofa would be delivered on a Friday, even with a tracking number, but it did not come until the following Thursday, the store and the delivery company were blaming each other as the store had said they had giving it t the delivery company, yet the delivery company had said a request had been made but the store hadnt asked for it to be collected. Neither could confirm where it was or when it would be delivered. The day before delivery i was being told i would have to wait until after the easter bank holiday at earliest, so another 5 days and i had to forceful explain this was not acceptable. A solution was eventually sorted and it was delivered the next day but was a really poor experience which i would be reluctant to ever order again from portabello now

My settees are beautiful and although things did not run entirely smoothly beyond their control. I am delighted with the service I received and would recommend them.

Venetia chesterfield

The Venetia chesterfield that we ordered arrived and is a beautifully made piece of furniture, aswell as being very comfortable, we would't hesitate recommending this furniture to anyone. So why only 3 stars, Portabello really need to improve the way they communicate with their customers. Repeated phone enquiries not being responded to is totally unacceptable. If there are problems with delivery or anything else be proactive and inform the customer directly, these things happen don't leave it to your customers to contact you and then not respond.

Don't use this company!

I have been waiting three months for my bed to arrive and still no bed... There has been several issues dealing with this company. When I ordered the bed online I had no communication with them, until 4 weeks later when I chased them and a week later I got a response saying your bed is due to arrive next week and what day I would like it delivered. I responded with my day, then never got a response.. Waited a week, to be then told it will arrive over the weekend, I can't do weekends because of work. To be then told it will arrive XDP delivery service as the company does not deliver to my address and they will not be able to assemble my bed. XDP delivered only the headboard another 4 weeks later. I was told by the company that the delivery company had lost my bed and they will get another made and send it within two weeks. Two weeks later they inform me that XDP have the new bed, but can't guarantee when it will be delivered.... Its been 3 months and only because of consumer rights they have refunded me. I could go on in more detail and examples about how this company has no customer care and no communication skills but I think you get the idea from my review. It has been left with with it still could arrive.....

The wrong product was sent in the initial delivery , and I’m still waiting for it to be resent correctly, very little information or follow emails and NO calls to explain why or when new delivery will be

On choosing a new lounge suite was made so easy with a purchase from portabelllo .

We were impressed with how smooth and easy it all was .

Great Company

Very good service and great communication which was very helpful when it came to choosing the colour from swatches I ordered as many beautiful colours.
I am so pleased with my new sofa I am now ordering a club chair and foot stool to match.
I highly recommend this company ;)

Bought sofa and footstool

Bought sofa and footstool
Sofa and footstool delivered separately
Footstool poorly made very bad quality and craftsmanship
Phoned left a message and emailed my grievance no response

Footstool delivered inappropriately by DPD wrapped in lots of plastic and materials which filled almost 2 wheelie bins not environmentally friendly at all.
Communicated this again no response.

We ordered a red chesterfield settee in…

We ordered a red chesterfield settee in May, it was 6 weeks roughly delivery, which was not a problem, we are very happy with our purchase, 3 young men delivered the settee and were helpful and friendly , I wouldn’t hesitate in using Portobello again in the future
