Making a claim was very straightforward online and involved very little effort on my part. They contacted the vet practice direct and then refunded the money straight back to my account, minus the excess. Very satisfied!

Rubbish-thinking of cancelling.
They paid the second claim but have held back on the first one even tho they paid the second. Keep having to ring up wasting my time!

I have tried other pet insurances, but when l get to the part in the application about the breed of the pet, l cannot put down a breed, because my pet is more than a mixed breed, and l cannot go any further in the application. When l went for post office pet insurance they accepted my application, and classed my pet as mixed breed ( or moggie )

Starts off very affordable but if you need to claim be aware that there will be consequences. Following a claim for my flatcoat my insurance more than doubled.when I enquired why the massive increase i was told that the dog was getting older , the cost of the claim .etc.Complete nonsense. The dog wasn't 3 years old, claim was for a bloat incident. Stomach was stitched to abdominal wall so hardly likely to be reoccurring. They said the increase was justified. .sorry but it isn't imo.i have a £4500 cover and never came close to using it.
A friend is insured with the kennel club ,has a £7500 limit and has been close to that for a couple of years with her poorly spaniel. Paying nothing like i am and has had minimal increases over the past 4years.if the premium increases again at year end i will cancel the insurance and pay money into an account for any future vet requirements. Update.
Have just been asked to provide my details to post office insurance to prove this is a genuine review. I have gladly provided this information. That tells me everything i need to know about this company.

First class service at the Post Office Insurance for our 16 week old kitten who came into a spot of bother. Used them for our two cats previously and were fantastic for end of life care. Wouldn't use anyone else. Highly recommend.

Decided to take out Post Office insurance after comparing with others who all confused the issue by including mention of discounts which gave a false impression of actual price. The Post Office quote was straight forward and honest.
