I have rented a Skoda Octavia for 2 day from the office near Bucharest Otopeni Airport. The car was quite new (2019) and had low mileage (approximately 24.000 km).
The pick-up and the drop-off were quite easy and time saving.
The price for the rent of the car was the lowest I could find in that area.
The most important thing for me was the fact that you do not need a credit card to rent the car. You can use a debit card.

Davvero pessimi
Prenotazione avvenuta con NU rental car ma effettivamente sono loro a fare da intermediari a Bucarest.
Davvero la peggior esperienza della mia vita! All'arrivo ti fanno firmare un foglio dove anche per graffietti invisibili (da 0 a 5 cm) devi pagare un sacco di soldi. La decisione è spendere ulteriori 185 euro per una settimana o rischiare. Alla riconsegna dell'auto ti accompagnano a pulire l'auto per esaminarla nei minimi particolari. Risultato? 150 euro di danni per un graffio sul paraurti anteriore di appena 2cm e per della presumibile resina sulla fiancata anch'essa davvero invisibile! normalmente tutti gli altri brand per danni piccoli che stanno in una moneta da 2 euro neanche la guardano. Costo del noleggio? 60 auto una settimana, 58 assicurazione extra, 150 di "danni". Con quei soldi avrei noleggiato una ferrari...sicuramente in un altro rentalcar.
Truly the worst experience of my life! Upon arrival they make you sign a sheet where even for invisible scratches (from 0 to 5 cm) you have to pay a lot of money. The decision is to spend an additional 185 euros for a week or to risk it. When you return the car, they accompany you to clean the car to examine it in detail. Result? 150 euros in damages for a scratch on the front bumper of just 2cm and for the presumable resin on the side which is also really invisible! normally all the other brands for small damages that are in a 2 euro coin don't even look at it. Rental cost? 60 cars a week, 58 extra insurance, 150 for "damages". With that money I would have rented a ferrari ... definitely in another rental car.
