Kyri was absolutely amazing! He was so knowledgeable, accommodating, entertaining, and sweet!

My wife and I just completed an extended holiday in London. We used Private Tours London for an extended trip to Kent/Royal Tunbridge Wells to visit places like Chartwell, Leeds Castle, Hever Castle etc. The Private Tours London team could not have been easier to work with. Everything was seamless and Peter, our driver/guide, was terrific. I highly recommend them.

Our driver Graham arrived for pick up on time and in good humor. He was funny and chivalrous. He had a high level of knowledge from London history to Shakespeare. He was very professional. We felt extremely well taken cared of. The car was huge and comfortable. Super clean. Will definitely recommend and use this service again.

We booked a private tour to Stonehenge and bath this year and our experience has been great. I booked this trip from the US, and their communication via email was prompt, and honest. Our driver guide graham made the whole time so pleasant and enjoyable. He was patient and accommodating and offered options when possible. I definitely recommend them for private tours.

Mark was an amazing tour guide! He took us to places we never had imagined and made the trip for all of us very enjoyable. I would highly recommend him and the company!

The good: 1.The itinerary-we got to see a great overview of London and the surrounding country. The accommodations (except for the first hotel-see below) were first rate.
2.Our driver, Kyri, could not have been more accommodating. Once he realized we had some mobility issues he adjusted accordingly. Informative and entertaining, provider of great snacks (I will never stop craving Portuguese tarts), on time and just a joy.
3. Hotel locations- I was able to get out and walk at the end of each day by myself and felt safe exploring.
The not-so-good:
Communication- after booking, there was virtually no communication. We think this is because there was a typo in our contact email -their mistake, not ours - but PTE had 2 phone numbers for us, an alternate email, and our travel agent’s email and phone. Yet somehow it was only 2 weeks before the trip that we were able to make contact. I think we could have had a better experience in London with more communication, because some of the landmarks we were supposed to tour were closed or we arrived at a time where access was not possible. So drive-bys only of Buckingham Palace, Westminster and Big Ben, despite information to the contrary in the tour literature.
The London Hotel: The St.Giles was a nightmare. They are renovating and we were placed in an unrenovated room that smacked of hostel. The suite had 2 tiny, dark unconnected rooms of dubious cleanliness, with a chunk of flooring missing that created a surprise hole under the carpet. We did not book a budget trip but this was a budget hotel or less. Upon complaint to PTE, we were moved to a renovated room -still tiny and not a suite, but clean. Either PTE didn’t know how bad this hotel was (bad) or they did and booked it anyway (very bad). We were supposed to return to this hotel for our last night but PTE honored our request to move to a better hotel.
Hotel glitches: we arrived in Bath to be told that we would need to pay for our pre-paid room because “the credit card didn’t go through.” PTE immediately corrected after they were contacted but it was a nasty surprise. PTE blamed this on the booking agent, but the buck stops with PTE and all accommodations should have been confirmed prior to our arrival. The last hotel in London demanded to see the credit card that booked the room. Not possible, since it wasn’t our card. Again this got fixed but it was an aggravation at a time when we were travel weary.
Comments: I think we would have been better served by having the choice to have the day of arrival free. We could have explored on our own at a relaxed pace, possibly just a sightseeing bus, but instead we were booked on a food tour which felt like too much. Communication would have helped.
There was a representation in the tour documents that strongly implied that our “private tour guide” would be with us at numerous sights. In hindsight, I don’t know if it was intended that we would have these guides at each location or if Kyri would be accompanying us rather than dropping us off on our own. We had one scheduled tour that was guided, in Bath, but otherwise we were on our own. If it was supposed to be Kyri, I got NO sense that had been communicated to him, so I absolutely do not fault him.

From start to finish, our experience with PTE was nothing short of perfect. Quick response times, patient and informative communication, and willing and able to accommodate all our needs. Our guide--and new friend--Mason was a perfect match for our family. He was not only informative and entertaining, but also warm, kind and just a pleasure to spend time with. We all agree, he's what we'll miss most upon the conclusion of our trip. Thank you for a wonderful holiday!

Sandie was great to work with. She followed up as she said she would and provided all the details needed. Our guide for Stonehenge, Peter, was great too! I would definitely recommend Private Tours England for anyone wanting a specialized tour.

From the very first email, to the final dropping off at the airport was absolutely amazing!! We used them for multiple things! Picking our group of 7 up from the airport, to drive to the Cruise port, to an all day excursion, picking us up from the cruise terminal, to a day in Windsor and then dropping off at the airport. Graham was our driver and was WONDERFUL!! I truly cannot say enough great things about him!! His knowledge, and great ideas going with the flow of things was perfect for our group!! I would HIGHLY recommend!! And I would ask for Graham to be your driver!!!!

From the initial inquiry to the executed tour it was a flawless and remarkable experience. Could not more highly recommend this tour company. We had a 5 day tour of London Bath and Stonehenge.
We are a family of five with 3 children all under 16 so the challenge was to make a trip that all would enjoy. Laura at the start was so helpful, we provided her with details of what we would like to do and she made suggestions to come up with an initial itinerary. Once complete, Sandie was instrumental in organizing the layout of the tour, what to expect on each day and what would be appropriate.
Graham was our driver and was so accommodating. Once in the car he took us around but also made additions to what he thought we and our children would like and just added them on as he saw fit. He was an amazing tour guide and an exceptional human being who really cared about all of us enjoying our experience. Graham definitely went above and beyond hie job expectations - taking us to the best places for photo opportunities etc, and we are so grateful for him. Tony was our substitute driver on the last day as graham unfortunately had car trouble - he was amazing and just took us around as planned and it was like there was no break or anything in our already very busy schedule.
Each day was filled to the maximum with places to go and things to see. All tickets had already been purchased for us through the tour company and all were "fast pass" and so there was minimal waiting.
The entire holiday was so very enjoyable and there was absolutely no stress. We returned home relaxed and happy.
This tour company is a must if you are considering a private scheduled tour of London or the UK - the people are amazing at each level and you will not be disappointed.

The experience of booking, anticipating our needs for a full 13-hour day of sightseeing (London to Stonehenge to biking in the Forest of Dean to a birthday pub celebration and return to London), was professional and prompt prior to the trip. Communication was excellent (unlike other tour companies we sent inquiries to). Our driver, Shane, was highly professional in mannerism and road skill, and took time to sort our sightseeing tickets in advance as well as suggest 3 traditional pubs for dinner, plus arrange our reservation while we hiked and biked. This was a memorable special day for our family, made all the more so by the overall experience. Highly recommend.

unfortunately due to a later start than planned due to traffic that was out of everyones control, we did feel rushed to complete the day as planned on our itinerary. But we did get to see everything we requested and have no complaints!
we would recommend Private Tours England without hesitation.

Mark did a great job and had many fascinating stories he shared as we traveled with him. We loved Blenheim and Oxford and seeing Churchill’s grave in Bladon.

My dad, two brothers and myself took a trip to London at the beginning of May. For four out of the 10 days we had Kyri as a guide. Kyri was by far one of the best parts of our trip! We actually looked forward to seeing him in the morning. Some of the drives we had to take were longer but Kyri made it fly by! When we go back we are making sure we get Kyri as a driver no matter what it takes!

I booked 4 days in early May 2024, for me and my 3 sons, with Private Tours England as part of our trip to London, Kyri was our guide. We visited the Cotswold’s, various castles, Stonehenge, and other sites outside of London and couldn’t have asked for a better time or guide. Driving from London to the sites takes time but it never felt that way, we really enjoyed our travels with Keri, he was the best and when we return for another trip we’re definitely booking with Private Tours England and requesting Kyri. Highly recommend.

Every part of our experience with Private Tours England was wonderful. Beginning with the planning, they were quick to respond and answer any questions I had. We had a van for 8 of us to Stonehenge and the Cotswolds. Our drive, Graham, was truly perfect. He was on time, had everything ready for us. But most of all he was fun and friendly and provided so much information throughout our entire day. So pleased with our decision to use Private Tours England!

Dean was fantastic!! My family and I had a wonderful time with him in London! He did an amazing job showing us the sites that we had planned to see in addition to taking time to enrich our experience by showing us new sites of interest along the way! Kyri was fantastic! Not only did he take us around to the incredible sites, but he was amazing with my kids! When I asked my kids their favorite part of their day, he was tied with Stonehenge!
