Slow service and I felt they weren't entirely honest in this instance.

On 12th February 2018 I called Production Gear sales to get advice and purchase a ReadyRig. Not knowing the kit, I was advised that it would work fine with a Ronin and F55. When it arrived a few days later I rigged it and realised that I actually did need Pro extension arms so called them back.
Slightly dismissive that 'other cameramen did not have a problem' they agreed to do a swap with the arms that I had, and kindly said that instead of charging the' bolt on' price they would just charge the difference as if I'd bought the Pro Arm kit. I needed the arms for a job the following week and was assured that if I was happy with their demo arms they would send them in time.
Job came and went without the arms. Each time I chased with a phone call there were different excuses. They 'couldn't contact the cameraman they'd lent the demo arms to' weren't sure where he was or when he was returning the arms.
It seems they were stalling and eventually on 6th April notified me that the shipment of new arms were in from the USA and they would send me a set as soon as they cleared customs.
11 days later on the 17th April they emailed to say that the ReadyRig shipment was now with them.
I shipped them my rig, they swapped the arms over and sent it back. I now have a working rig that suits my use with Sony F55.
The Pro arms they fixed were slightly scuffed (only cosmetic) so I presume that despite waiting for new shipment from USA they actually fitted the demo arms to my rig.
Beyond writing this revue on Trustpilot it's too much hassle to bother with further.

Blunder with delivery address

My order was delivered to the cardholder's address instead of the delivery address. I was informed this is their policy for first time buyers making online payments with their card, after I had made the purchase. Up on calling them to clarify and query other options, I was assured that the delivery will be made to the delivery address. However, a week later I was informed it was delivered at the card holder's address anyway and it was a lot of hassle to get the item finally to where it was needed. Production Gear offered to arrange a pick-up and delivery to correct location, but as there was nobody currently at the delivery address and it was left with the neighbour, this was impossible to arrange. This blunder on delivering the item meant we could not use it until a week later than expected.

Their website purchasing system should make it clear that a separate delivery address is not possible for first time buyers, if this is their policy. It is ridiculous to inform customers about this after the purchase.

The item itself is working as expected.

Item arrives after 2 months, poor communication

I received the item 2 months after ordering - I had to chase them up 3 or 4 times due to no correspondence and failing to follow up on any of my requests.

Now I’ve finally received the item (which arrived in good condition hence two stars) I will never shop with them again.

In this industry we often need rapid lead times, this has been a less than reassuring experience.

Fine service from Production Gear

The camera bag I ordered arrived well packed and without defect. The delivery by DPD was excellent and I was kept fully informed of its progress. Although the only communication with Production Gear was by email, their service seemed both efficient and friendly. I’d recommend them and use them again.

I ordered a Rhino slider from the website. I was told it wasn’t in stock, but it was ordered in direct from Rhino. Rhino sent the wrong part but was shipped to me, then recalled, so it was then ordered again direct from Rhino. The part came in, however, my order was shown as complete, so when it was finally in stock, no one contacted me. From date of order to delivery was around 8-9 weeks.

Many of my email enquiries went unanswered, so I had to call in and chase up the order. At no point did anyone from production gear contact me.

Always a great pleasure to buy from Production Gear.

Sam went above and beyond in order to get me a special bag for a set of Aladdin LEDs that would fit three stands as well getting the cables resoldered to fit Danish wall-plugs - and to get the kit shipped on short notice.

Also a big thumbs up to the Aladdin Distributor in this regard.

Highly recommended!!
