If I could give a minus review I would

If I could give a minus review I would. Absolutely horrendous. I bought what I thought was a PCP finance. Didn’t find out it wasn’t until 2 months before the end of the agreement, when I found out I couldnt actually buy the car. £10k I’ve spend in 4 years to lease a car. Worst customer service I’ve ever encountered

They don’t care if the person died

PSA Finance are a despicable company. My husband died during the UK’s first lockdown; he had a PCP financed car from Peugeot, which was financed via PSA. Despite being notified of my husband’s death, PSA continued to take payments for his car. I had to cancel the payments from my end to stop them. They were still attempting to take payments for 5 months after being notified after my husbands death and wrote to me (a new widow) demanding the money.

They work with a law firm as an intermediary in cases of customers death. This firm promised the money would be refunded. As the car was in my husband’s name, no one could drive it on the road, so we were unable to move it ourselves. They were informed in May, but did not pick up the car until October when we pressed every week. This created a very stressful situation where I had to register for a SORN and see my late husband’s car in the driveway every day for months. It also meant I was unable to use the space for another car.
PSA’s representatives promised the money would be refunded, it is now 8 months on and neither payment has been given back. Their solicitors have told us, they do not know why the money has not been given back.

To treat a grieving family this way is disgusting. They have caused so much additional stress and pain during a very dark time. PSA should be ashamed of themselves. 1 star is far too good for them.

Careless documentation - check everything!

My original agreement was at an Interest rate of 5+% with an APR of 10+%
The Statement of Account issued at the end of one year showed a different rate of interest - gone up now to 10+%.
Fearing a scam (although probably just incompetence in data input) I contacted them. No apology or explanation.
I obtained a much lower interest loan from my bank and paid off PSA. You might like to consider doing the same, as I no longer trust their system
Still not a word from them...

Worst public relations EVER!

Update again, what a turn around, things seem to be going backwards again! We now have the ombudsmen involved and are getting absolutely nowhere again!
Complaints department NEVER call us back and although telling us we are entitled to our money back we are getting absolutely nowhere! Still paying for a car which we are not using plus financing a reliable car we got in its place. Who would have thought a pensioner could be treated in such a way! Update!!!!!!!!
I have to say fingers crossed that we have had a complete turn around! Complaints department have been absolutely amazing! It seems that the car dealership was totally at fault and this company have eventually sorted everything out for us! However, I still was not impressed by the jumped up little kick start that we first dealt with, he should seriously be reprimanded! HUGE thanks though to the lady in the complaints department....you have been brilliant!!! Worst public relations EVER!
We have refused a VERY faulty vehicle under the thirty day right to change our mind policy. We were told we would have to wait 12 weeks which we have. We have been phoning every day and are continually being fobbed off. We have had to purchase another car so now are paying for two cars ( one of which is not moving off our drive!) Very rude person on the phone even accused us of probably changing our minds every time we buy a car! Er NO! The one we have financed by this company has been proven to be unroadworthy! Maybe we should all get together and contact watchdog or rogue traders as it seems nobody has a good word to say about this company!

Shocking!

If I could rate this company a 0 I would. I recently posted about my bereaved sister's car. She died suddenly in May this year and this company have waited until the end of September to collect her vehicle. Finance was outstanding on the vehicle and they were simply waiting for five months to find out whether probate had been applied for, they have a legal company, who I now know they refer all deceased debts to and they just sit and wait to see if power of probate has been applied for to rinse whatever remaining funds are left in a deceased person's account ... Once probate had been granted to my sibling, they suddenly got in touch and want money from a dead person's bank account. Disgusting, underhand, liars. Don't buy a car from this Company.

These guys are thieves

Make sure when you return your car, you video EVERYTHING and DATE it, They will state the car is damaged (even though its not) charge you for cleaning (even though car was clean) and after you honour payments each month, the thanks you get is they falsley bill you, then threatening you with legal action. What a poor way to repay customers who honoured their contracts. Terrible company avoid at all costs.

THIEVES.....THIEVES...AVOID

THIEVES.....THIEVES.... AVOID

For all the people that have used PSA/Free 2 Move and left positive coments... just wait till your lease ends, and without any warning or reason, they take £700 out of your account for damage that simply does not exist. I returned the car in perfect condition, even put some extra fuel in, and now I have to spend time/effort trying to get MY money returned. I have seen lots of people on Trustpilot having the same issue - THEY SIMPLY TAKE MONEY OUT OF YOUR ACCOUNT - for no reason. I am currently seeking legal advice, as this is tantamount to theft.

Average rating says it all

The split of responses says it all, at end of term asked for extension of 2 months, was offered 3 agreed date to send car back and told them sending back, still tried to take Balloon payment which was rejected by Bank, they escalated had to make formal complaint. They have no concept of a fair process outside of their standard

CORRUPT?

I bout a vehicle through PSA Finance, I had the vehicle for approximately two weeks when problems began to show with the vehicle transmission. After chasing PSA and the vehicle dealership for repair for about three month I took the case to the financial ombudsman service. The financial ombudsman service lunched an investigation, where an advisor passed the case off as PSAs responsibility. The vehicle still hasn’t been repaired after 14 months from the original complaint and nearly 4 month after the ombudsman’s final decision. Customer relations advisors are always “busy” and requested call backs never happen. Emails take about two weeks to receive a reply. I’m Constantly getting passed from one person to another. I would strongly advise taking a wide berth! They won’t do the right thing and repair vehicles when their liable.

Appalling service and attitude

Appalling service and attitude. I called to update my address and noticed that my name had not been changed either. I passed data protection by answering all relevant questions. The advisor informed me she couldn't update my address until I had emailed them my marriage certificate. She was quite happy to leave an incorrect address on my policy document which is a clear breach of my data protection. She refused to let me speak to a manager or the complaints team. She was rude and argumentative. Disgusting.

And would like to add what a useless service PSA is, absolute waste of time, getting them to do anything, reply to mail, get anything done in respect of their lousy vehicles not to mention the dealerships!

I wish I could give them a zero

I wish I could give them a zero, bloody useless, we had complained to PSA about our faulty new peugeot 3008, the first at 3 months they sided with the garage as did the omdusman, at no pint did they ask for our proof! A year on and complained again as finally customer care agreed to us taking to a different garage who found faults but had car for 4 months due to getting parts. Complained again to PSA to the seemingly lovely Layla who said all the right things but did sweet FA! Countless times we called offered ring backs which never happened no one answered any of our emails, then all of a sudden cased closed, still haven't got an answer to why. Stopped paying monthly instalments then they contact us, again the lovely Layla has come out of hiding but basically told nothing we can do, and because of the time we cannot even raise it with the financial ombudsman. A really awful company no customer service not interested. Never use

Disastrously useless Conduct of a business

Non existent customer service.Due to COVID we were told to hang on to our three year lease vehicle after contract ended on 1st June 2020.We were told we would be contacted ASAP regarding a final inspection and subsequent collection within 3-5 days after that.We were asked to keep car safe and insured meantime. The car was cleaned and valeted ready for the inspection which was eventually arranged exactly two months after end of contract!(30July2020).Three days before the car developed a fault with handbrake and would not allow the car to start!Result:inspector from Mannheim Auctions was not able to inspect and process was aborted.PSA Finance said it was our problem!I pointed out that diagnostics would prove time of fault and the car was way beyond the original termination date and parallel warranty.Subsequently we have recurved no response or solution from them and the security /I.D.farce required each time you call is ludicrously lengthy. The only reply we have had is an email meant for another customer disclosing all his personal info!
So much for Data Protection.Has anyone actually managed to resolve a similar situation as I note others who have posted have had similar issues with PSA Finance?Well done to all the others who have highlighted what seems to be a ridiculous and incompetent outfit.

Absolutely horrendous to deal with as a…

Absolutely horrendous to deal with as a dealer for paying off finance settlements on part-exchanges. No dealer option to settle over the phone or when trying to pay by BACS wouldn’t take it through a bank transfer. They take cheque which I sent off didn’t hear any for 2/3 weeks, so had to cancel the cheque. Due to the part-exchange being sold I had to transfer the money to the previous customer to settle!!! Then a week later due to Barclays writing the wrong cheque number in they have taken £5500 more and are uncontactable to return my money. I’m not surprised they have bad reviews it’s absolutely disgraceful and the FCA should be onto them as it must be unlawful.

Mis-sold a Pugeot lease

I recently found out one year into a lease agreement for a Pugeot 3008 that I have been mis-sold.

Tolga (Tony) Hussein at the Chingford Robins and Day dealership sold us a 3 year lease, on which the original quote included a cost for servicing and maintenance and the final contract included a cost for maintenance. We also verbally confirmed multiple times with Tony that the contract included servicing and maintenance and that the only additional cost would be for insurance.

So I was very surprised when taking the car in for its first service to be told I had to pay £200+ as servicing was not included on my contract and that 'maintenance' referred to contract (rather than vehicle) maintenace.

My complaint of mis-selling was rejected with no discussion from either the dealership or PSA finance and I will be referring to the financial ombudsman.

Beware when taking out a contract to ensure that you are not similarly mis-sold.
