Incredibly bad customer service. Don't bother with them.

Cheap broadband. Incredibly bad customer service if something goes wrong. Don't bother with them.

I had no broadband service for 6 weeks (22 Feb to 3 April) and the experience dealing with Pure Telecom was extremely frustrating from start to finish.

We contacted customer service 28 times trying to get the issue resolved. There was no ownership of the problem, poor communication between teams, and repeated failures to follow through on commitments.

A technician initially attended externally but didn’t fix the issue. It was then confirmed that access to the house was required. My wife had to work from home on three separate occasions to allow this, and on all three occasions no technician showed up.

Despite repeatedly calling to confirm appointments, we were assured technicians would attend, but they didn’t. At the same time, technicians would occasionally call at random, unscheduled times claiming they were at the property.

There appeared to be no coordination between Pure Telecom and their scheduling systems. Staff often couldn’t access accurate case information, and requests for manager call-backs were ignored.

In total, we spent over 300 minutes on the phone chasing a resolution.

We also had to spend additional money on alternative internet just to maintain basic functionality in our home.

The issue was only finally resolved on 3 April, and only because I happened to be at home on Good Friday.

A refund for the downtime is expected, but it does not come close to reflecting the time, stress, and disruption caused.

Overall, this was a deeply disappointing experience and I would not recommend Pure Telecom based on how this situation was handled. They're useless.

The worst company to deal with

The worst company to deal with. I moved house in December, after 5 emails informing them of this they finally answered me, all i wanted was to get connection moved to new house (5 mins down road), they couldnt do this and told me i had 2 options, cancel the contract or get someone else to take it on in old house. After a lot of stress dealing with these incompetant people I got email in December saying they would cancel down the contract . My account was overpaid 100€+ , I was billed in December,Jan,Feb,March and April. I then contacted them to say i hadnt an account with them since Dec, to be told not only was the contract not cancelled but the set up another one in Feb for another year till 2027. They then had the nerve to tell me i owe them €150 cancellation fee plus expenses. Not a word of refunding me the money they took from me . Would any of you pay money for an internet connection to an empty premises. I dont think so. Steer clear people, these are absolute muppets the lot of them .

Great Service

While there was some confusion as to when our line was to be activated, the team were all lovely to deal with. Daniel helped us get set-up over the phone, and was absolutely lovely.

Customer service gone downhill

I rang Pure today to query why my bill had increased significantly. I was told they sent me notification about tariff increase, at no point in that email did it mention that my contract was expiring. I rang and was so surprised by the loyalty team, customer service seems to be lacking since I first joined. I queried why on switcher.ie the price was different, only to be given the run around and not a valid explanation. Really disappointed.

GREAT COMPANY

I have been with PURE TELECOM for 4 years now. I am extremely happy with their service. I live in Connemara, right beside the ocean on Galway Bay. I know bad weather, storms, and lightning will cause problems; I know this. It is when I have these problems that PURE shows its great customer service. I have always been put through to customer service with minimal waiting time. The customer service is always helpful, patient, and intelligent. The price of the service is competitive, and I am happy with the landline and Broadband. GREAT COMPANY

I spoke with Samantha and she got my broadband down to 35 a month for 12 months within 60seconds of answering. Great service and lovely to just talk to someone instead of a computer. Highly recommend Pure I've been with them for a few years now. Keep up the great customer service!

No interest in customer loyalty

I received my bill with a €10 increase without any prior notice that the contract was ending. So far, so good. Today I contacted customer service to discuss what it's possible to do about that. I was attended to by a lady named "Nicole" who from the beginning was quite rude in how she handled the issue, not even wanting to let me speak/explain. I have been a Pure Telecom customer since 2023, and this is the treatment and consideration they have for caring for and satisfying their customers, no interest in costumers loyalty.

Pure don't honour agreements

I contacted Pure in order to get my UAN before switching provider. I was promised a lower rate, so decided to stay with them. They haven't given me the lower rate & aren't responding to me.

Great Customer service

My contract had just ended and the price increased. The service has been brilliant so I contacted them about renewal discount. I spoke with Samantha and within 2 minutes my contract was renewed at the discount price. Brilliant customer service.
