Can only speak as I found

I’ve read ALL of the reviews and can only speak as I find about my own, personal experience. We had excellent communication when we bought our cockapoo from Raffles and throughout the first few weeks after we brought our pup home. When we went to view her we saw both parents who both looked healthy and I even remarked on how happy the mum was. Indeed, our vet commented on how healthy our puppy was at her first check after we brought her home and said it was obvious she’d been well cared for.
I understand not everybody has such a positive experience and obviously they have the right to express their views and opinions. I don’t agree with the reviews that say that their experience was a positive one but give it a one star now based on what others say - the idea is it is an unbiased review of YOUR OWN experience.
It is heartbreakingly sad if Raffles have become ‘victims’ of their own success and have seen the dollar signs in front of their eyes and have expanded beyond recognition into nothing more than a glorified puppy farm now. All I can say was, based on my own experience, I had nothing but a good experience and have got the best, friendliest, happiest dog in the world.

My sad Raffles experience

I'll keep this short but truthful. And Lara and Jon (reviews below), I'm not associated with any groups targeting Raffles. We were recommended Raffles by a friend and taken in by their facade, sadly like many others. We brought our puppy (cavapoo, born 16/09/2017) home and within two days she was staying overnight at the vets, desperately ill with bacterial and viral pneumonia caused by kennel cough bacteria in her lungs. I have lab results and Vet confirmation that the incubation period (and that she coughed twice at pick up but Mark's son told me it was a blanket fluff reaction!) meant she contracted this at Raffles. It took three types of antibiotics and many weeks for her to get well. She couldn't go outside the garden until she was 20 weeks old as we had to start her injections all over again. Mark assured us no other puppies were ill. This was not true. He tried to dissuade us from taking her to our vets. He suggested we return her. He hadn't initiated the Petplan insurance correctly so we had a battle there. He also sent us a nasty solicitor letter. We're solicitors ourselves so we weren't intimidated and sent letters back. It was a devastating experience which he (and Alison) made much more painful by blaming us and not caring about our puppy. I realise now we were one of the lucky ones, our puppy didn't die. Don't buy from Raffles, please. Wait and find a family small breeder, an ethical one where you meet the parents and can see the puppy often, as they grow up in a family home. Please.

Do your research before considering Raffles!

*UPDATE* I have been asked by TRUST PILOT to provide information to Raffles Cockapoos to prove who I am - which I have just supplied so Raffles now have my contact details and any reply from them will be updated here!

EDIT - Suddenly there are more positive reviews but Raffles license rating from the local council has been downgraded to only 1 STAR and that should speak volumes if the local council who inspects them as downgraded their license!

I do not recommend Raffles Cockapoos to anyone looking for a new dog to join their family. I strongly suggest any potential owner looks into the history of Raffles Cockapoos and look at exactly how many pups they churn out v their actual license held with Cheshire East Council. It is alarming how many pups they have sold each year. It breaks the contract they have with Cheshire East Council, who might I add are currently investigating them due to the amount of puppy deaths and poorly pups sold, plus the fact they sold over 200 litters last year but they are not licensed for that amount of breeding mums????!?!?! Still want to buy from a commercial puppy farm that breaks their breeding license??

Raffles has a huge fan base of loyal followers who refuse to listen or believe the true heartbreaking stories of owners who have poorly pups, pups that have died within days of getting collected and pups with severe behavioural issues. Even their previous Vets is no longer associated with them after several years in partnership - ask yourself why! Although he must have been signing off these dogs as healthy when clearly they weren't.

To the lady who commented that this is a witch hunt against Raffles and it is one person posting these reviews... firstly to post a review on this site you need an email address and this is checked and verified by Trust Pilot so unless this person has access to 90 emails addresses this would be impossible! Secondly as a true animal lover who was duped into buying a puppy from Raffles in 2016 and has seen first hand proof the number of pups they have sold, if you still think Raffles are a credible dog breeder who have their dogs best interest at heart you are sadly mistaken. A true credible dog breeder would not exceed the litters allowed against their breeding license. Considering Raffles are registered for 48 breeding mums and they had over 250 litters confirmed in 2019, this just shows the absolute greed of Raffles Cockapoos! DISGUSTING.

Open your eyes and see the facts for yourself.

Raffles Cockapoos threaten people with legal action if they speak out in a negative light about them, they block the person from For The Love Of Cockapoo forum (that they have their admin team running) they block them from their own Raffles Facebook page. If you post a negative review on their facebook page it is deleted immediately.

I fell for the whole brand that is Raffles Cockapoos. I saw the lovely website, I had numerous conversations with Raffles Cockapoos who sent me photos of available pups. I naively chose a pup from a selection of photos! RSPCA say you should NEVER pay a deposit on a dog you have never met in person, NEVER pay for a dog if you cannot see interact with one or both parents. I never saw my pup interact with the parents as they were carried in. I feel stupid for not investigating fully who Raffles were before I put down my deposit. I collected my pup in 2016 and in the lounge collection area there were 7 other families collecting their pups. This should have rang alarm bells at the time, it didn't and I continued to go along with the process. I was passed me my terrified little pup. She showed no emotion at all. Long story short my cockapoo is scared of so many things. She had kennel cough, ear mites and giardia when i took her home as within 48 hours we were at the Vets as she was so poorly.

There are so many genuine ethical breeders out there so do your research and do not line the pockets of this PUPPY FARM any further. They have been reported to the RSPCA and Cheshire EAST Council Animal Welfare by other owners who have had heart break in seeing their pup come home from Raffles so poorly or in the worst case tragically die or have to be put to sleep...

Raffles sell too many litters to be able to fully look after not only the pups health and well-being but that of the breeding mums and stud dogs.

I joined Raffles Have Your Say and the true stories made me feel sick that I had, like so many others, fell for their marketing spiel.

An honest review

I am posting my review again as I can't believe some people are stating it is a hate campaign or that it isn't factual, I'm sure if your dog nearly died, you would feel exactly the same and I have the vet reports if anyone would like to see!
I thought Raffles were very professions up until we got our puppy home. I don't know what goes on prior to collection or if they are a puppy farm but there are a lot of litters (over 200 in 2019) which is very worrying. This is not a hate campaign, this is my experience and for me to warn others so no one has to go through having a sick puppy or having a puppy die, Raffles taking no responsibility and for them to carry on breeding which has resulted in more sick and dead puppies!

We collected our puppy from Raffles in March 2020. Due to covid, we could not go in and puppy was exchanged outside, we were never shown mum or dad but I asked at a later date and they sent me a photo of mum but then also sent the same photo to a friend who asked that got a pup from a different litter which raises even more questions!! After being home 3 days she became very ill, was throwing up and had bloody poops. We rushed her to the vets and they confirmed she had parvo and had a 15% chance of survival. Our puppy had never left our house and parvo has an incubation period so no it did not come from us. After an 8 day stay and £5000 later, she miraculously pulled through. We told raffles as soon as she went to the vets and they said she was the only one unwell, she was healthy when she left them and not to tell anyone or put it on social media as it probably came from us or the vets got it wrong and it was a false positive reading. I later found out that she was not the only one, 4 other pups that left around the same time all had parvo and one of my pups siblings passed away.
Raffles knows about them all but are still breeding even though parvo can live on surfaces/in the ground for up to a year which has led to more sick puppies and some have died. I wouldn't wish for anyone to go through what we did and what our pup is still going through as she now has anal gland problems, allergies and bad separation anxiety which the vet said can all be linked to parvo.

I don't doubt that some people have healthy amazing puppies from Raffles and I am so happy that they do and had a good experience! Just please be warned that Raffles clearly do not care about the puppies welfare as proved above. Raffles have now also come out and said that they work with breeding partners so you actually have no idea who owns your pups mum or what conditions they come from!!!

Rectal prolapse- puppy farm!

Unfortunately Raffles is a Puppy Farm. People have had positive experiences many have had negative experiences. In the past those with negative experiences have been silenced - well not any more. People are speaking out in large numbers because a small group of people got together and shared their experiences and what came next was a large number of sick and dead pups who were told not to speak out by Raffles, who were threatened and intimidated by Raffles.
My experience: never met the female owner only dealt with her via email. My pup was handed to me at the door after a cock up with another litter. I entered a room full of other new owners collecting pups (this was not told to me beforehand) listened to some speech by the male owner about how my pup WOULD get diarrhea and NOT to take her to the vet. Parents carried in, sawdust on their feet. Upon leaving saw male owner carry out an armful of pups and put them in pens. Journey home pup DID have diarrhea. Took my pup for a pup check next working day. Pup then had diarrhea and bloody stools on and off for a week, she was given Panacur metronidazole and a probiotic. She then had to have major surgery after she had a rectal prolapse. Yes my puppy's butt fell out! Not a great experience for her, and a very stressful time for us. Raffles paid for her insurance excess and sent her a box of toys, they told me none of her littermates were ill- they were never contacted (I found out more recently after finding a couple of siblings!)

I was them messaged across various social media platforms from other owners with sick puppies some of which had died. Raffles censor their social media pages and their website. Negative reviews are removed and customers and anyone speaking out silenced. Which is why their Facebook page is covered in glorious positive reviews.

Thankfully my pup is now ok and no further issues apart from 16 allergies. Others have not been so lucky. There have been pups that have DIED. PARVOVIRUS is a common feature on the premise including APRIL AND MARCH 2020 they will tell owners this is due to the vaccine they gave the pups. They do not care about the welfare of the dogs they do NOT contact litter mates when pups are Ill I KNOW FIRST HAND as none of my pups siblings were EVER CONTACTED. DO YOUR RESEARCH ASK QUESTIONS. Ask How many litters they had last year ask for a figure you won't get one. They will tell you they have a lot of litters, they won't tell you the figure is close to 200. All of which they claim are born and raised in the family home????

Go to the Facebook group Raffles- have your say. Read the accounts for yourself. Ask questions. Ask Raffles questions. Tell them you want to see mum and dad on the floor interacting with the pups. If mum looks like she doesn't want to know her pups question why are they even her pups? If they send you a video of "mum" with pups question the interactions, if pups are over excited and mums not interested why is that?

Whoever out there is targeting Raffles - please get a life and stop.

Whoever out there is targeting Raffles - please get a life and stop. You may have had a bad experience but that is no reason to try to destroy their reputation.

Our puppy (now dog) has enriched our lives enormously and we cannot fault anything about Raffles. They even once gave us a refund for some half-eaten dog food! Many of my colleagues have bought dogs from them, again all without any issues.

If only all the satisfied customers could be bothered to write reviews, but frankly we're too busy enjoying our dogs! Raffles' poor rating is totally unjustified and shows how flawed the TrustPilot review system is.

Raffles is the target of a smear campaign

I was shocked to read all the negative reviews of Raffles as they don’t tally with our experiences at all. However, having looked more closely at the language, dates and content of those reviews, it seems likely that they have all been written by the same person with a grievance, who is posting under various different names to affect their rating.

Speaking from personal experience, we got our cavapoochon from Raffles in February 2019 and he has been the most delightful little dog ever since. He has no health conditions, has never been remotely poorly, has never displayed any signs of anxiety or aggression, has bundles of energy and loves socialising with other dogs, adults and children. We’ve also found recently that he’s very gentle and protective of our new baby! We honestly couldn’t have wished for a more affectionate, sensitive, loving pup and I think this speaks for itself in terms of where he came from.

I’d also like to add that a family member recently went back to Raffles to get a puppy for themselves. I went with them and we were introduced to a gorgeous little cavapoochon, who was still two weeks away from being ready to leave, so we paid a £250 deposit. The day before we were due to collect her, Raffles contacted us to explain that she had failed her second health check at the vets. We asked what would happen and we were told that Raffles were not comfortable letting the puppy go as it would not be fair on either her or us. They have kept her for now so that her health can be monitored over the next few weeks and they can see how things develop. They were also willing to refund our deposit immediately. If they were wholly concerned with profit at the expense of their animals’ health, would they have done this? They knew that we were in love with the pup and if they really were the crooks they are being painted as on here, they could easily have flogged her to us to get their £2000. They didn’t - they were entirely transparent with us and again, I think this speaks volumes about their priorities.

I honestly wouldn’t be put off by these negative reviews and I would think it is worth visiting Raffles yourself to make your own mind up.

I’m a raffles owner

I’m so happy for the owners that say they have a happy healthy pup from raffles. I also have a happy healthy pup from raffles purchased in 2017. If I was rating my own dog’s health, looks and personality then, yes I would be giving raffles 5 stars. However after now knowing the facts that raffles have produced 200 litters in 2019. This is fact which is collated data from actual raffles dog owners who have purchased a dog from them (that we know of so far!)
Now let’s ask ourselves;
200 litters x 8 (average pups per litter) = 1600 pups per year.
Now each pup is kept at raffles for 8/10 weeks. Thats roughly 250-300 pups there at any one time! Now let’s face facts, these pups are not being brought up in a ‘home from home’ environment. There is also no way that the mothers can be being cared for correctly with over 3-4 mothers giving birth each week. Just because you have a nice experience and your pup is great doesn’t excuse the fact that raffles are lining their pockets with money at the expense of the poor mothers and pups 😢 So before we continue to brag about how ‘happy’ our experience was, let’s think about the poor dogs and what their actual start in life must of really been like? And the poor mums still stuck there being bred non stop.

Fab Puppy from Raffles

I honestly don’t know what is going on with these reviews about Raffles or why. All I can say is that we picked our Cockapoo puppy up from Raffles on 21 March 2020 and she has been 100% healthy and is the happiest, easiest puppy we have ever had. She is well socialised and gets on well with our other dogs and also with every dog we meet on our walks.

Poorly pup

I bought my lovely cavapoochon from Raffles in 2019. I was sucked in by the professional web page stating good breeding lines, Heath checks and puppies reared in the home. With over 200 litters in 2019 I don’t think they could possibly be home reared! My pup came home with an awful ear mite infection, kennel cough and loose stools with blood and mucus in which lasted for months. This is a huge scale puppy farm and if I’d have known this at the time I would have never gone there!!
Look up Raffles have your say on Facebook!!! Lots of stories of ill pups. Some survived some didn’t!! Do your research!!

I came across Raffles

I came across Raffles - just over 4 years ago whilst researching breeders for our new puppy. Their website was impressive, full of glowing reviews, beautiful puppies, lovingly reared in the owners home, just what I was looking for. I have had dogs previously so new what to look for, which questions to ask and above all costs to ensure I wasn’t funding a puppy farm. How wrong could I have been! We visited, picked our puppy and left arranging to return 2 weeks later to collect her. On our way home hubby voiced his concerns that it was just a posh puppy farm but I was having none of it, I was totally in love with our puppy and nothing was going to change my mind. When we returned to pick her up it was total chaos, the room was packed with people picking up their puppies too. They were so busy taking payments, they weren’t interested in talking to anyone or answering questions. We sat and listened to a well rehearsed speech, were handed a gift bag and were asked to choose a blanket from a pile on the floor supposedly with mum’s scent on, bearing in mind our girl was the last of the litter that didn’t make any sense. We left as quickly as we could. All the red flags were there and clear to see, but sadly when faced with walking away from a cute puppy, it just wasn’t going to happen. I joined loads of Facebook groups and I noticed that people were having problems with their Raffles puppies, a lot were poorly and sadly some died, but no sooner had I read a worrying post it was deleted. It became clear that this impressive website was just a clever marketing tool. Their reviews are all amazing because their website and Facebook pages are closely monitored and any negative comments are quickly deleted. I should have realised at the time what was happening, even the best companies have the odd poor reviews! Our puppy is relatively healthy but has been very nervous from the day we collected her and we have spent hundreds of pounds with a behaviourist trying to ease her fears. I am so disgusted that I helped line their pockets and am ashamed to admit were she came from, I will now choose to tell people that she was rescued from a puppy farm. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE research before buying a puppy from them, dig deep for information, the fact that they had over 200 litters in 2019 speaks volumes, how can this many puppies be reared in a loving home and be given the care and attention they need in the first few weeks of their lives? Please also spare a thought for the poor breeding mums, how much love do they receive? This is NOT a hate campaign as some have suggested, find out the truth for yourselves and visit other Facebook groups, especially the ones that share honest opinions both good and bad, they are are out there to be found if you do your research properly. Not all puppy farms are dirty barns in the middle of nowhere, despite their posh facade RAFFLES ARE A PUPPY FARM, please do your research, read the all the sad stories that have been posted by grieving families and if you are still willing to finance their lifestyle and purchase a puppy from them at least you do so knowing the true facts!

Posh Puppy Farm - over 250 LITTERS in 2019 alone !

Raffles are nothing but a posh puppy farm in my humle opinion but the facts back it up. Where else can a "company" breed over 250 LITTERS in 2019 and they've been going for years prior to that?! I was unfortunately taken in by their slick marketing and bought 2 puppies from them. Would i recommend? Absolutely not.

There is no way that these puppies are bred using their council incense for 48 breeding dogs. Even 48 breeding dogs could not constitute home raised puppies. Its all a lie. A clever lie and a massive rouse. A home breeder is someone who breeds 2-3 litters a year from their home. This is a puppy industry. In 2019 alone 250 litters with an average of 6 puppies multiplied by an average of £1,500 per puppy equals 2 MILLION POUNDS - home breeder?!

If you want to find out the truth then use Google and research them. You'll find social media groups where no comments are removed. Everything is straight from owners of Raffles puppies.

You also don't read about any bad experiences on Raffles own website as they delete anything negative. You won't read any bad experiences on their Facebook group as they delete them, nor on their fan page where again anything vaguely negative is deleted. All 5* - all too good to be true.

Puppies die from Raffles, puppies have gardia, puppies are not socially acclimatised, puppies are brought up in the worst conditions. And what becomes of all those poor breeding mums?!

Please do your research before buying a puppy from them like I wish I'd done. Read the evidence that's there in black & white. Google them and see their business history and unpaid tax etc.

Please think of the life these poor dogs have before giving them your business.

STOP and read please:)

Please read my review before you think about buying from Mark & Alison Wetton. There will be positive reviews as Raffles have sold hundred and hundreds and hundreds of dogs over the last 5 years. But Raffles have sold hundreds and hundreds of pups as their own Facebook group
Confirms it is also on cockapoo siblings group too! Now forgive me for jumping the gun here but that is NOT a home breeder caring for the welfare of their dogs. That is very greedy business owners. It would be impossible as their website did state that it had the litters in their house. They have since changed the text on their website. Even on their license of 49 dogs it would be impossible to keep those dogs and litters in the house!!

Google Raffles Cockapoos Limited and investigate more about who they actually are as a business and you will be shocked!

There is a facebook called Raffles Have Your Say, it has positive and negative experiences but 99% agree that they are a puppy farm due to the amount of pups they churn out each week. Covid 19 slowed them down which is the only positive to come out of Coronavirus but before this they were selling so many puppies week after week.

I purchased a puppy from them a few years ago, I was taken in by the fancy website and their home breeding claims. How wrong was I. I arrived at their gated mansion where there was a sign to ring a number to be given the code to the gates. Mark was waiting for me at the door of the orangery which is where all visitors report. You are not allowed to view the kennels this is out of bounds for the public. My pup was scared and shaking. There were other families there sitting on sofas holding their pups. On the table there were raffles goody bags for new owners to take home with their pups. Mark was busy on the card machine taking payment !!! Mum was carried in for me to meet. Wasn't allowed on the floor. She was dirty and needed a good groom. She wasn't excited just looked unkempt. Dad was carried in and again not allowed on the floor. He looked just the same. At this point my husband wanted to leave without our new pup as he didn't like the set up and it wasn't a home breeder. But the kids wanted the puppy and we were all in love. This is what puppy farms do - you never see what goes on behind closed doors, as they have you when you see the pup.

We took our pup home and she had the runs for weeks, with blood too. Took her the vets several times which Mark Wetton did offer to pay the vets fees and she was diagnosed with kennel cough, giardiasis and ear mites. The other litters mates that I met via cockapoo siblings also had the same issues. But if you try and speak about this on their facebook your comment is removed and you are asked not to post untrue stories?!? untrue it was FACT. I had the vets report to prove it.

I would not recommend them for the below reasons:-

1. They contradict on their website as they originally claimed home breeder then admitted on Facebook (proof sent to trust pilot) that they aren’t a home breeder.
2. They have been downgraded by Cheshire east council to only 1 star rating which is the worst rating you can have!!! That should tell you everything you need to know.

Please visit Raffles Have Your Say to read all the other owners experience - good and bad, you can then make up your own mind. But PLEASE do you research before you buy. Lucys Law x

Make your own mind up....

Firstly, let me start by saying that the people on here saying there is a 'hate campaign' against this breeder have clearly been put up to it. Why on earth would hundreds of people come forward with all these detailed, heartbreaking stories that are made up?? It doesnt make any sense.
It is also extremely insulting to suggest anxiety disorders are the fault of the dog owner when there is clear noted evidence, that this more often than not, stems from early experiences as a puppy - especially when coming from a large scale breeder/kennel environment.
(Head over to the facebook group 'Raffles - have your say' to make your own mind up, this was a real eye opener for me and not a pretty one.)

Our puppy came from Raffles. What followed was months of illness, expense and heartbreak. Be aware that if/when things do go wrong - your calls and emails will be ignored and at most, you may be bribed with a box of toys and told to avoid the vets.

Nearly all puppies from here seem to have come with coughs, mites and bloody stools. I know for a fact my puppy's siblings have had extensive problems as the owners managed to get in touch with me and are looking at the next steps.

Yes, of course there are always people who will have had a positive experience - but do you really want to take this risk with something that will become a much loved member of your family?

A sudden change of company name/owners just after the **** hits the fan, is never a great sign of a reputable establishment.

I IMPLORE you to do your research fully and with an open mind and AVOID this money making machine. Had I known the extent of the operation they are running here, I would have run a mile.

After being highly recommended to purchase a Cockapoo with Raffles we bought one who is now just over a year old. In our experience from beginning to taking our gorgeous puppy home l cannot praise Raffles enough. They was so helpful in us choosing one. I communicated with the owner quite a few times and she was so nice. When we went to pick her up we was pleasantly surprised at how professional everyone was. That’s why we are so shocked to read some of the reviews on this site.
There was a large window as you entered the room where we was guided to look at the separate kennels with all the parents with the puppies. There was NO TV screens anywhere.
We live in a coastal area and l have met at least 4 owners of Cockapoo’s who,as it happened, bought there’s at Raffles and like us was MORE than happy.
Our Cockapoo is the light of our lives. She is funny and has a great temperament. We have said so many times how lucky we are to have her THANKS TO RAFFLES.

Having been recommended to Raffles from…

Having been recommended to Raffles from a Cockapoo owner, who purchased our puppy from them , I can safely say they delivered on all counts, our puppy , now 1 year old is fantastic, and a big part of our life.
Small puppy vets visits , but found out there was a wheat allergy, which after changing her diet to suit, she is now 100% ok. I know they have 60 + breeding pairs
but I cannot fault the service we received.
Would recommend to all.

It is so important to get the message out there that this is a Puppy Farm! They have re-branded under Cheshirepoos, and whilst their website does not appear to be live quite yet, their instagram account has been made........I would urge anyone to report that account as well!

Puppy farm

We have a cockapoo from raffles he is 1 now. We love him to pieces and wouldn't change him for the world but had a very bad experience with raffles. The owners are rude and made us feel stupid for asking questions. Very strange experience now we look back, it was our first time buying a dog so at the time we were just so excited and didn't think too much of it. Our puppy's mum and dad were both carried in, probably because they can't walk as they've had so many litters, and there was no reaction between puppy and mum which is very odd. You don't see where the puppy's live, only a screen with video of litters which is probably all fake as they have got hundreds of litters at a time but only about 6 shown on that screen. Don't get your puppy from raffles they are liars and need to be shut down.
