Delighted with my beautiful boy!
I am delighted with my beautiful boy, picked him up from raffles at the end of March and he is a delight! No health issues what so ever! A little anxious around other dogs, but what new pup isn’t? Over all really well socialised with people, children and particularly loud noises I.e the hoover!
I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to home one of these wonderful dogs!
I have two Raffles boys
I have two Raffles boys. I honestly feel like the wool was totally pulled over my eyes. They are both very anxious boys. Our oldest had quite a severe cough and upset stomach for the first few weeks. I love them with every fibre of my being but we have to plan the simplest of things with them. The more that comes to light about Raffles, even from the owners mouths, I'm mortified! I was lead to belive our boys were reared within a loving family environment. Now finding out that they bring pregnant mum's in from other sources, breaks my heart, fills me with anger at both myself and the owners. It also makes me wonder if my boys were even conceived on their premises. I'm no activist as a lot of people are making these reviews out to be. I'm just someone who is begging people that are considering Raffles to PLEASE, PLEASE do you homework first. There are a lot more experiences out there than there were 2/3 years ago.
Glorified puppy farm, avoid
So saddened to know that I have lined their pockets with money when I now know they run a puppy farm.
We brought our puppy home in 2019, we were sold that they were kept in the home, socialised etc, all now known to be lies. With excess of 170 litters a year there is no way they could have them all in their house!
Our puppy was poorly, runny poo’s and blood, when I contacted Mark he said it was normal. Thankfully we ignored him and went to the vet. After tests we were told he had Giardia, I contacted Mark and after a few emails he agreed to pay my vet bill.
He wasn’t interested in how the puppy was, just wanted us to keep quiet.
Following from this I contacted quite a few of his customers and asked if their pups had been poorly and I would say the majority I contacted had all had Giardia too.
I love my pup and it makes me sad to think of the life he started and how his poor Mum was treated.
Research before you buy from here ....
One of my boys is from Raffles he is gorgeous but has issues which started at the age of 2 anxiety attacking other dogs ive had dogs all my life im now 55 so know how to train etc ...my experience of the breeder is we didn't see our dog with him mum ..mum supposedly was carried in which i feel is in all the cases...we had the upset tummy had to go to the vet blood in his stool but we got that sorted.Looking back i wanted a pup and chose one of their fbok page then changed my mind then was told 3 others wanted that pup in a curt manner back then 5 yrs ago this wasn't the scale it is now.
More has been exposed due to covid and a price hike even though pre reserves were paid do your research guys check the raffles have your say page on fbook 3000 members in 6 weeks yes 3000 most have a Raffles pups the owner admitted bringing in pups from elsewhere..more puppy farms.Could be from anywhere..
I am shocked sad and feel for these poor dogs used as a business not for the love of cockerpoos very apt.
If you wish to close yr eyes on this well shame on you ,you can not be an animal lover .

PUPPY FARM BEWARE - see raffles have your say!!
Having put down a deposit in November 2019, I was contacted in June 2020 to advise a price increase of almost £1000 was going to affect me. Following some not hugely friendly emails I decided to research further into the company. It seems plainly obvious Raffles are operating on a very large scale and animal welfare seems very much overlooked. Please Research into this breeder, there are countless stories of sick and dead puppies that shed light on the sad truth behind this business!!
Highly Recommended
We've had our dog Bailey for just over two years and he is a really healthy and sweet boy who gets on with pretty much all dogs and people that he meets. He does get anxious if we leave him alone for long and is very clingy, however sometimes he's gets very brave and even likes to watch fireworks!
Raffles themselves are really helpful in ensuring that you get the right pup and they also provide a lot of support to ensure that new owners and pups have the best start.
I wouldn't hesitate to use them again even though they are quite expensive.
Amazing experience
It’s a shame most of these reviews are from people who don’t have a Raffles puppy and our purely targeting the business because they weren’t happy with a price increase.
It’s nothing short of bullying.
We had an amazing experience when we had our puppy and couldn’t thank Raffles enough.
When considering where to get your puppy consider most of the reviews you find on here for the rubbish that they really are.
Careful marketing, unscrupulous breeding - avoid!
I wish I wasn’t writing this as I am embarrassed to say I was duped by this puppy farm. I am a veterinary professional and I see lots of dodgy backyard puppy breeders at work and purposely went to a larger breeder in the hope of avoiding this. I wanted a health-tested puppy who had been responsibly bred and the Raffles website made me think this was the right place to go. Please do not be fooled by the swanky website like I was! I thought they were passionate about the welfare of their dogs but as time has gone on I’ve realised how far from the truth that is. This is nothing but a posh puppy farm.
My Raffles experience started in 2017 when I joined the pre-reserve list for a male cockapoo for July 2017. A few weeks before collection Alison emailed through a list of available puppies with a photo of each on their famous sofa. There must have been about 10 different male puppies: some apricot and some black all ready to go from the same date. We picked our favourite puppy from the picture (how bizarre choosing a puppy just from a picture) and did a 2 hour journey to visit a few days later. Alison made it very clear in the emails that we had to decide very quickly as all puppies were spoken for and had to visit at the first available opportunity or we would have no choice of puppy. I wish I had had my sensible head on rather than my excited for a puppy one as I knew there was something odd when we visited. We pulled up at the gates and rang to be let in. The house is beautiful and in massive grounds which is all part of the allure of a Raffles puppy. We were met by Mark who took our details and then whilst we were still stood outside he spoke to a couple of his workers by walkie-talkie to bring the parents across. The mum and dad were both carried across the grounds and were not put on the floor. I stroked both of them and they seemed friendly but obviously we couldn’t assess their behaviour properly as they were never put on the ground and we were made to feel that Mark was in a massive rush so the dogs were whisked away quickly. We were taken into the orangery which is set up with a few sofas and lots of Raffles merchandise you can buy. There were a few pens with puppies in in each corner of the room and one other family was there also viewing puppies. We sat on the sofa and Mark placed the puppy we were interested in on my knee. He was beautiful but worryingly quiet. He just laid there and kept falling asleep. Mark could see I was concerned and said it was because it was nap time for the puppies. Otherwise the puppy seemed in good health and was clean. I was allowed to put the puppy on the floor and he started playing with the puppy the other family were looking at so this reassured me a bit and we agreed to collect him the next week.
The day before we were due to collect him Alison emailed saying they were holding the litter back as their stools had gone loose. I was obviously disappointed but thought they were being responsible not letting them go to their new homes. A week later my partner collected our new puppy and he was full of energy and his stools were solid. I noticed straight away he had an underbite and I know that this can cause dental issues. I emailed Alison with photos and she was very defensive saying their vets had not noticed it so it must be minor and will likely grow out. I didn’t ask for a discount but she made it clear that that wouldn’t be an option but said if we weren’t happy with the puppy we could bring him back for a refund or swap him for another puppy. That seems to be their tactic when issues are found as they know that once you have got your puppy home you’re not going to want to take them back. We weren’t ever not going to keep him but Alison’s attitude to this made me realise we had made a massive mistake using this breeder. Undershot jaws are a hereditary issue and get worse with age, not better! It is likely either the mum or dad have an underbite and this has been passed on to the puppies.
Our dog is now 3 and other than his marked underbite (his bottom teeth are visible even when his mouth is closed) he has been very healthy. He does however suffer with severe separation anxiety. From the research I have done into Raffles over the last few years I am starting to believe this is from his time with them rather than his upbringing with us.
Raffles had over 170 litters in 2019 and are very careful with their wording on their website. They say that the puppies are raised “indoors” and are “home-bred”, however there is no way that many puppies could be raised inside a home. I love my dog but every time I look at him I feel guilty for having funded this cruelty. Don’t be fooled by the positive reviews on their FB group, they delete all the negative ones! Look them up on google maps and see how many kennels they have! Do your research please.
Shameful place with over 46 breeding…
Shameful place with over 46 breeding mums Misleading marketing and website. Whilst I love my dog I would NEVER recommend these Greeders to anyone
AVOID AT ALL COSTS
AVOID AT ALL COSTS. THIS IS A PUPPY FARM WITH A POSH FACADE. I had a puppy from there and only discovered afterwards that they were a puppy farm. If you have a look on the Facebook page 'Raffles Have your say', which is a group that shares true stories about "poorly puppies that have been bought from Raffles, you can see for yourself what Raffles is like.
🛑DO NOT FUND- PUPPY FARM🛑
🛑DO NOT FUND- PUPPY FARM🛑
You will be funding a posh puppy farm if you buy from Raffles... you will never be invited to look at the kennels, your pup will have had no interaction with people and will come from an over bred dog who will be dumped in rescue when she’s of no use to them.
These are very cruel people.
I wouldn't change my pup for the world…
I wouldn't change my pup for the world but would I change his start in life? Absolutely. He came home to me with an ear infection which had to be treated the next day and full of worms which was treated days later. He vomited worms onto my carpet 🤢 after several weeks of runny stools and blood in pooh we had to pay for stool samples to be tested to be told he had giardia and camplyobacter, a dose of panacur and antibiotics and he is well. I emailed them with my concerns about his poorly tummy to have my email ignored. So much much lifelong support once you take a 'raffles' pup home. As a first time puppy owner I stupidly thought I was buying from a really good ethical breeder. Come on who wouldn't from the glossy website? Let's face it these people are good at marketing. I should have trusted my gut instinct after that first visit. I wish I had have come across the Facebook group I've joined sooner. Before they were created you couldn't see a negative review, only positive reviews about how wonderful raffles pups were. I ignored the couple I found on puppy love from back in 2017 as raffles seemed to have addressed the concerns. Silly me. Always trust your gut. Do I regret my pup? No. Do I regret lining the pockets of these greedy people? Yes absolutely! The amount of sick puppies that come out of there and the way concerns have been ignored or covered up is shocking. I feel sick and sad for the dams and the studs who live in kennels and are made to breed day in and day out. They are registered for 45 dams yet there were over 170 litters last year! Before you buy from these people please look at the reviews, the stories of sick puppies and ask yourself, are you happy to buy from someone who breeds on this scale. They market raffles pups like they are something to be proud of but in hindsight Im embarrassed say I got him from there. He is half brother to hundreds of pups, that's nothing to be proud of
This is a puppy farm
This is a puppy farm, I didn’t release at the time but after problems with my pup that are due to breeding issues it now makes sense. They’ve given me no help and there are hundreds of litters coming from them every year. They need to be stopped!!
I bought two Cockapoos from them in…
I bought two Cockapoos from them in Summer 2018. THIS IS A PUPPY FARM!!!
Do your research on ‘Raffles Have Your Say’ FB group and read about all the sick & poorly puppy’s that come out of that place!
My first poo ( we found out when she was 5 months old, has a twisted back leg bone ... birth defect! never picked up by their vets ( they state they are all vet checked before leaving!... obviously not well enough!!!)
Please please do your homework before lining their greedy pockets!!!
Put the price up by £800 after deposit…
Put the price up by £800 after deposit paid. Did not proceed!
They have recently been downgraded by Cheshire East Council to 1 star instead of 5. Speaks for itself really.
Fancy puppy farm
My pup is Gorgeous and mark and Alison very helpful and lovely but they sent me home with a puppy who had kennel cough and ear mites. 2 years later her ear issues have never gone and it’s cost over £2000 in vet bills - thankful insurance covers it!
I think she was poorly as they have soooo many litters 160 this year alone! I believe it now to be a spruced up puppy farm, never saw the mum with pups and have heard thousands of similar stories since with raffles dogs (the whole of my litter had kennel cough and half have ear issues)
Raffles ‘brand’, prolific breeding, sick and dying puppies.
I wish I could give no stars. After 5 years looking into this ‘company’ (which changes like the wind, and there are at least 21 companies that the Wettons are, or have been involved in), I have come to my own conclusion. This is based on the sheer number of puppies that come out of this place, 151 LITTERS in 2019 alone, thats well over 1000 puppies, at around £2000 a puppy, it’s no wonder the Wettons protect their ‘brand’ by deleting and blocking any negative review or anyone who questions their practice.
Out of all these puppies, not surprisingly, some are good and make excellent pets. The sheer volume of puppies that are riddled with worms, ear mites, Gairdia, Campylobacter, Parvovirus, eye problems, luxating patella, skin conditions, digestive & stomach issues, hereditary health problems is extremely concerning. Not least the amount of puppies with behavioural and socialisation problems (probably due to the quantities of puppies that cannot properly be socialised)... Then there are the puppies that die, leaving families devastated after weeks of torment where their puppy in on life support at the vets and is brought home in a box of ashes to the children who so looked forwards to having a play mate in their lives.
These people are experts at ‘branding’, you don’t own a ‘cockapoo’, You own a ‘Raffles’. Well, that brand is bad, and the information is now out there for everyone to know that if you still subscribe to this ‘brand’, it will be looked upon as tarnished.
This is a place that farms companion animals and may do it well online, but not in practice. If you care about animals, don’t feed this trade.
Put prices up after pre-reserve!
Agreed a price for a Cockapoo puppy in spring 2019, which was £995. I paid a £250 deposit at this time.
We were originally getting the puppy in November 2019 but due to a change in circumstances at home we pushed our “pre-reserve” back until summer 2020. We have now cancelled and got our deposit back.
The “breeder” (I actually think it’s a puppy farm...) then emailed in October informing us that the price had increased to £1195, plus they had added an extra £59 for vaccinations. The puppy was always going to have those vaccinations so I do not see why they increased the price.
I noticed near the beginning of lockdown that they had further increased their prices, but the website specifically stated anyone who was due to collect their puppy before or during June (as we were) would not be affected by the price increase.
They then went back on this, and on 01/06/02 they emailed us to “check we were okay with the price increase in their website”. When I looked they had increased the price to £1795, plus the £59 vaccinations.
At this point I replied and said no, I was not happy. They then returned my £250 deposit.
In total they increased the price by £859, after we had already agreed a price and paid a deposit. I believe this is very unfair and they have broken the contract we made over exchange of money.
They ALWAYS seem to have litters ready to go - often posting that they have different breeds at the same time - so clearly they always have multiple litters. I just don’t know how they can look after the welfare of their puppies and they never post about the adult dogs so I dread to think how they are looked after. Please look on Facebook for the group “Raffles - have your say” to see other stories.
Sick Puppy From Raffles
I brought my puppy home in 2018 and she was very sick with kennel cough and an ear infection that she picked up at the breeders. Her cough was so bad I thought she was going to die, it lasted about 2 months and in that time I couldn’t socialise her or leave her on her own for any length of time. It also cost me almost £1000 in vet bills. Raffles refunded me the excess only however the insurers took months to pay out as the claim was under the 1 month of insurance provided by Raffles and they wouldn’t give the insurers the further information they required, so make sure you have enough spare cash put aside if you intend on buying one of their thousands of puppies they churn out every year
Please do your research, the Raffles website and the pages they run on Facebook don’t allow negative reviews or comments about them. There’s a Facebook and Instagram account which they don’t run with all (positive and negative) reviews. Lots of puppies are sold from here every year and many go to their forever homes quite poorly, I assume due to the amount of dogs that are kept in their kennels
The positive reviews are obviously people who haven’t had any problems with their puppies (and who don’t care about the welfare of the mothers) but is it worth the risk of getting a puppy that’s sick or might die when there are plenty of other places to source a healthy, well cared for puppy?
I would not recommend them due to their unethical practices, please choose a home breeder if getting a puppy. When buying a puppy, make sure you see mum interacting with her pups pre and post puppy selection, including the day you are taking puppy home (see Lucy’s Law). This is something that Raffles have never offered. (Interacting, not being carried though)
I’ve also been made aware that Raffles have ‘breeding arrangements’ which I think means they can bring puppies in to sell from anywhere which is quite concerning
Picked up my pup in January 2020 and…
Picked up my pup in January 2020 and two days later we were at the vets with kennel cough, worms and ear mites. Got given antibiotics, ear drops and pain killers. Kennel cough then developed into pneumonia and he was on antibiotics for about 4 weeks then had to have diagnostic tests as it wasn’t getting better. Had a server case of kennel cough and bordetella bacteria was found to be ‘stuck’ in his lungs. He was admitted twice and on antibiotics for another 4 weeks.
Raffles did respond to all of my emails either trying to offer advice or just to maintain contact. Also paid a little towards bills and a sent a box of toys.
Found two siblings who hadn’t been contacted even though I was told they would to check their pups weren’t sick. Thankfully they weren’t sick but I don’t know about the other 6 pups.
Also found out that either they had lied about his parents or his parents had cockapoos 4 months earlier even tho mine is a cavapoo.
It’s sad as I almost feel tricked by the breeder but at the same time it’s my fault for not looking into this more. Any bad reviews are deleted from everywhere so even tho there are a few stories listed on Raffles website about pups getting sick, there are a lot more that they don’t tell you.
