Excellent Volvo service in Malton

Took our Volvo C40 in for service this week, for a while-you-wait service. Good waiting area with excellent free coffee. The service reception lady was very efficient and noted a couple of points I made whilst booking in. The car was promptly driven through to a workshop which is on view from the waiting room. When the service was completed, it was cleaned and valeted to a very good standard. I then got a full run down on the condition of my car and was pleased to note the points I raised were properly addressed. It was a very pleasant overall experience.

Briony and danish was very helpful,pleasant,professional & knowledgeable about the car which help us a lot the car is just right would recommend ray chapmans volvo at Bradford to anyone the staff & great cars make it! My Iphone came out of my pocket and disappeared under the driver's seat. I tried, unsuccessfully to retrieve the phone and so I set off to Ray Chapman Motors at Huddersfield. Jodie on the service desk was helpful and positive when I managed to call in. Obviously if they had had to remove the seat there would have been a charge but the excellent technician (thank you) retrieved the phone and returned it to me with a smile. Thank you everybody - what a relief! Thanks for the coffee!

Perfect Service

I had a fantastic experience with Ray Chapman Volvo in York! Simon was top-notch in communication, always responding the same day and answering every question. He made the process totally smooth, and I felt confident picking up my first electric car. He was incredibly knowledgeable and put me at ease. The part exchange price for my old car was very fair, and he even charged the car up for my long commute home. Five stars all the way! He went out of his way to be accomodating and even came in on his day off for the handover of the car. Thank you, won't think twice before returning here.

1st Service Volvo Xc40 @ Ray Chapman…

I took my Volvo Xc40 to Ray Chapman Volvo Huddersfield today for its 1st service after owning it for a year.
I initially was going to take a loan vehicle but the service assistant said that my car service could be done straight away & would only be 1+½hrs wait so i thought i would wait. I was shown to the waiting area & was provided with a coffee & said to help myself to another if I wanted one.
I was kept informed throughout my wait on the status of vehicle, there was a slight wait but this was down to my vehicle downloading the software updates.
Once everything was complete my car was given a complimentary wash & vacuum which i wasn't expecting.
I was stlightly embarrassed as the 1st time i had to take it in for its service & it wasn't looking too clean inside (grandchildren).
The person who cleaned/valeted my car did a 1st class job & i would like to say a BIG THANK YOU & im SORRY it was bad.

From when I arrived to when I left this morning the customer experience was fantastic,all the staff where friendly & polite, I highly recommend Ray Chapman Volvo Huddersfield.
Look forward to seeing you next year.

We recently purchased a Volvo XC40…

We recently purchased a Volvo XC40 online through Chapman Motors Huddersfield and had it delivered, and Sij made the entire process seamless. Buying a car remotely can feel daunting, but he was incredibly responsive, transparent, and informative at every stage. He kept us updated, answered all our questions clearly, and made sure everything went smoothly. The car arrived exactly as described and the overall experience was super positive. Thank you, Sij!

Disappointed



It , saddens me to write this review as I have always trusted Chapman Motors and never had an issue before.

I took my car in for an MOT and service and was told a tyre with a cut was beyond repair and had to be replaced for the car to pass. The total bill came to just under £1,800, including several hundred pounds for a rear tyre and balancing.

After collecting the vehicle, we sought independent opinions. Kwik Fit advised the tyre should have been an advisory only, and Halfords confirmed it was repairable and fixed it for £30.

We raised this with Chapman Motors, but after speaking with their mechanics they stood by their decision. I was offered a £60 goodwill voucher, which does not reflect the difference in cost or resolve the concern.

Unfortunately, this experience has left me disappointed and has affected my trust in a garage I had relied on for years.

Volvo ex30 fire risk

Thinking about buying a Volvo ex30 twin motor or range extender?
Read this first!

After speaking with the dealer I was assured I would have no issues with the Volvo ex30 twin motor as a company vehicle. I was advised the range would achieve in the region of 277 miles. I’ve had nothing but issues with the vehicle! In reality it’s achieved 120 miles during cooler but not freezing temperatures. The heating system only works if it’s set to hi otherwise it blows out cold air, the screen freezes, the volume has a mind of its own and turns up randomly whilst driving and don’t get me started on the issues with key or lack of. The battery has always seemed to have an aggressive overheating issue and now I have been advised the battery is a fire risk. Volvo have advised to only charge the car to 70% and keep away from your house. The range is now reduced to between 60-70 miles as once it hits 20% charge the mileage rapidly decreases. If you purchase a Volvo EX30 twin motor you will be asked to sign a declaration to say you will only charge it to 70%. They are relinquishing any responsibility against themselves.We are expected to continue to use the vehicle until they have a solution but they cannot confirm when that will be!

Would you buy an ex30 that could potentially set on fire. There is a video online of the one that caught fire in Brazil, luckily no one was harmed.

Try getting them to help no chance they just keep saying waiting on Volvo

Recent visit to Ray Chapman Volvo Huddersfield

My vehicle recently had a service at Ray Chapman Motors Volvo Huddersfield.

The dealership has experienced a remarkable make-over in recent times.
The inviting showroom is far more spacious, allowing for additional vehicles to be on display.
It is easy to navigate with a welcoming receptionist on hand to greet and alert the appropriate member of staff to offer assistance.
Complimentary refreshments are on hand, which is always appreciated.

Once again, Service Receptionist Hannah warmly greeted me and listened to any concerns I had.
With her knowledge and professional skills, Hannah is a credit to her role.
From the superb valet service, followed up with a video health check from the Technician, I collected my vehicle a few hours later.

I applaud Ray Chapman Volvo Huddersfield for excellent customer care.

A seamless transaction.

A seamless transaction.

A class above other garages

The whole experience from entering the showroom in York was fabulous. Our sales assistant, was attentive and informative. But what really set the experience apart from other garages is that she took the time to include my daughter. This had such a positive impact, and it was wonderful that she saw us as a family and treated each member with respect and kindness. It was this level of service that made it an easy decision to purchase our Volvo through Ray Chapmans, York.

Excellent service at Ray Chapman Malton.

We picked our XC90 up yesterday from Ray Chapman Malton All the staff were very professional and helpful. Garth answered a few questions over the phone and said anything you need to know we are all pleased to help The salesman Tom was excellent. Very patient with us on the handover setting up our screens with all the new technology.
We traveled from Wakefield to buy this car. That alone tells you we have had good service in the past.
I’ve already recommended them to a friend.

Bradford branch

Bradford branch - Customer Service Pants

Took XC40 in for a service re RTTI not working on sat nav. Asked them to knock off the regular maintenance reminder warning light while they were at it. Refuses, defeats the object he said as you will get it serviced elsewhere …I’m aware I can do it at home but thought they would do it whilst here….minor matter but shows the lack of customer skills. And yes I will get it serviced elsewhere where they don’t charge £125 per hour labour…

Ray Chapman Motors Malton - Highly Recommended!

We would highly recommend Ray Chapman Motors in Malton! We bought a great 3 year old Volvo XC60 from them today. Many thanks to Jason (sales consultant) who was friendly, informative, patient and super helpful; he went out of his way to make sure we had the car set up as we wanted it, and knew where all the controls were, before we left. Thank you too to Gareth (transaction manager) for helping to get all the admin done quickly.

Good old fashioned customer service as we remember it.

Customer service these days is non-existent. Nobody wants to speak with their customers, preferring the BOT.
It is a pleasure to deal with Ray Chapman as I have done when having my brilliant XC40 serviced during the past 5 years. I have just taken delivery of my new one and their salesman Martin Hadrick was most helpful. Thank goodness we still have people like Chapmans and their team. If only their coffee was as good as the rest of their operation!!

Filthy interior…

My Volvo XC60 was serviced by the Bradford Volvo dealership today. The service went fine but whilst driving home I started to notice dirty marks on the cream leather interior. The seats, doors, steering wheel etc are filthy and stained. It’s clear that whoever has been in it had dirty hands and clothes. The car was immaculate when it went in. If this is how they treat your cars when you take it in for a service I won’t be going back.
