I contacted Ray Chapman cars enquiring about a second hand car they had for sale but when I asked for a valuation for my car they gave me a valuation £4,500 less than other garages had quoted me which is quite a substantial amount of money, please shop around before accepting the valuation you get for your part exchange from this garage

I have had many new cars over the years and for the past 3 years my Volvo has been serviced at Malton. They say they treat customers as they would wish to be treated themselves! Each and every time, they have delivered on those values and I can honestly say I have never had better customer service. I never thought I would ever say that about a car dealership.

Bad experience from Riverside Leeds Volvo lead me to go to Ray Chapman motors at York . The best experience I received compared to many other dealerships I been . Very professional. No pressure selling . Understand the needs . Ray Chapman motors come top of the scoreboard . Interestingly the taxi driver took me from the York station to Ray Chapman motors , told me that Ray Chapman motors is the best . I start feeling better and better . The receptionist welcome with nice a smile . Met Lee Woodall , we gone through things . Done the deal . Before I leave dealership , I paid the car in full . Beautiful car , it is now going to go through the final touches and I will get it next week .Lee’s skills are 10 out of 10 . Very good sales man . It was worth travelling from London to Ray Chapman motors .

Straight from the start of buying the four year old XC40 Volvo was flawless!

Richard at Ray Chapman Motors in Malton couldn’t have done enough. He was even ready and waiting at the train station when we arrived to take us to the showroom where our very shiny car awaited.

He made everything effortless and was thorough in showing me around the car and the internal electronics (that I initially felt daunted about as they looked like something from the Starship Enterprise!). But after a quick lesson I soon grasped how to use it.

The car is perfect and the customer service has been wonderful. I will be returning for any future car purchases despite living 69 miles away and have already recommended the dealership to family.

Two weeks ago I purchased a Volvo XC40 plug in hybrid from Ray Chapman Motors, Bradford.
Attention from the sales team especially Gee, was exceptional. So exceptional I missed a couple of blemishes on the body work ( my fault ). The preparation team for the paint protection I purchased could have done better!
Gee was very courteous and made the whole experience easy to navigate . No hard sell.
It’s no fault of the sales team but I was a bit disappointed with the Volvo main dealerships policy that they do not give a full 12 month service or MOT with the vehicle when handing over. Other wise it would have been a 5 star rating.

Excellent service! I was having an issue with an XC90 and none of my local dealers would help me. Lauryn at Huddersfield managed to fit me in and get it sorted, no problem at all. It took a little longer than expected through no fault of their own but all the staff were pleasant and courteous. Would definitely drive back there for my regular servicing!

We recently bought out Volvo XC40 from the Malton branch. The service we received throughout was 5 star. Our salesman Chris was very understanding, informative, approachable and listened to what we wanted. The original car we went to look at was not for us but we decided to continue to look at cars at Malton even though it is an hour away from where we live because we wanted to buy a car from Chris due to his supportive attitude. We will definitely be revisiting the dealership in the future when looking for a new car and would recommend friends and family to visit the dealership too.

I sold my Volvo XC90 to Ray Chapman Bradford and my experience was absolutely positive. The process was very straight forward and the communication with the staff was excellent. I got a fair price for my vehicle and they came to my home inspected the the car and my payment was made within 30min of approval. I'm very satisfied with this dealer and recommend 100% with their quality of service.

I went to the Ray Chapman sales event in August and met Malcolm Hart, who I bought my two previous Volvos from via the previous dealership in Bradford. The new showroom is very 'Japandi' with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Malcolm took me through the various offers without being sales focused, and I honed in on the new XC60 PHEV T6. Malcolm explained the technical and operational features in great depth and I placed the order. I went to the handover meeting last week, again with Malcolm, and after inspection, had a drive round the showroom car park to explore the various drive modes, the safety/security features and the 360 degree camera's reversing into the car park space. Before the end of the handover, Malcolm introduced me to the service team who I'll be dealing with in future, who were all friendly and welcoming. Great customer service! I left with a full electric charge and petrol in the tank. The car is excellent and I just need a long drive to test the battery life and mpg etc. A big thankyou to Malcolm and the team at Ray Chapman.

Having required parts in stock,made for a quick turn around for this job. Previously I have slated this dealership for it's lack of attention to detail. However I have to say this time there were absolutely no complaints and no faults to moan about. I had a fairly pleasant wait,as pleasant as waiting can be, for the job to be finished. Well done. I don't like the taste of this pie.

We live quite a long way from Malton and had been looking for a nearly new XC90, though everything we saw was unsatisfactory or sold and we were struggling to find what we wanted.
And so, for the first time in my life I bought a car unseen through Volvo Selekt, and admit to some trepidation. The car hadnt been prepped at the time, and there were no photographs available, so I spoke to one of the sales team, Matt, and asked him if he would have a look at the bodywork and give an honest appraisal. He did and on his word, we took the plunge. I need not have worried, the car was everything Matt said, and more, and we are absolutely delighted with our purchase. We found Matt exceptionally good to deal with, and his colleagues and management team, all of them honest, friendly and knowledgeable. Although having no need yet for the service dept we did meet and speak to the team there and we got the same vibe from them. My local dealership, who shall remain nameless, give the impression they are doing you a favour, but we got totally the opposite feeling from Ray Chapman, Malton branch. I can only say thats how dealerships should be run and I wouldnt hesitate to buy from them again.

We recently purchased a car from the Bradford dealership, we were very happy with the service we received and so far are happy with the car. Their service was courteous and informative, just a little too much hard sell on the extras, protection warranties etc, but of course they make extra profits from selling them!

Just had my car MOT'd at Ray Chapman, Malton.

The service agent (Nick) could not have been more helpful. At all stages, he kept me informed about what needed doing, why it needed doing, and how much it would cost, so I got no nasty surprises with the bill.

It is lovely to be able to praise a local (to me) business so highly.
