It started well. Sales person was a pleasure to deal with.

Welcoming, friendly, helpful and no pressure. Lovely test drive. Best of all, they do what they say they will. The easiest car purchase ever and every single person I saw, spoke to or emailed was delightful. Altogether, they made buying a car completely straightforward and fun. A great team, a great experience. And love the car.

Don’t bother buying a car from them as if you need to take it back to be fixed you will be waiting forever to pick it up. Don’t even ring and let you know what’s happening with the car. One of the salesman has got right attitude. Had enough now so now going to take it to motor ombudsman

Sold my car via the Motorway way to RDM Direct. No contact, no collection, don't waste your time. I think the business model here is to leave you hanging until you are either desperate to sell or have had enough by the whole process and take a lower offer. I am neither!

0 stars! Customer service is non existent. Promised to fix and sort problems with a car I bought but I have been ignored for 2 months and just keep being fobbed off. Salesman is cocky and thinks he knows everything as well, if I didn’t want that car so much I would have gone elsewhere. Overpriced as it is, car picked up expecting work to be done and it wasn’t and problem still not rectified 2.5 months later. Avoid!
Bought a car a couple of weeks ago and have to say it was good experience from start to finish. Jim one of the salesmen was great no pushy sales techniques and made to feel comfortable and assured buying the car. There was a few things that needed doing on the car and everything was done and the car presented immaculate when I went to pick it up. Thank you to all at rdm will fully reccomend to others.

I sold my car on motorway to this dealership, however I was messed around so much by them I had to cancel the sale and go with another buyer. They did not contact me for 2 weeks, despite pleas from motorway. I rang them, only to be met with quite a disgruntled man who said they were just too busy to sort it out and it would be sorted at some point. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and waited another week but in the end it was clear from reading other peoples reviews that they had messed sellers around before. I would approach with caution if selling your vehicle to this company.
Purchased a car all I can say from start to finish my experience was amazing they were professional no pushing just couldn’t do enough to help me. I would strongly recommend using these guys again. The after service was professional and very affordable. I will definitely return when I look to change my car.

Please don’t buy from this garage! I beg you, if they have a car you like, please just find it somewhere else. I have had a similar experience to some of the other customers below. I bought a jaguar XF from them and immediately had problems with lots of shaking in the steering when driving and when breaking. Called the garage and they said take it to a local garage near me, and whatever the issue is they would pay for it. I was very pleased with this approach, so I took it to Halfords auto centre and they said that it needed new bushes on the front and back which would cost £800. RDM refused to pay, and were very aggressive over the phone and told me to bring it back for them to look at instead as they insisted the bushes were fine. They had it for 2 weeks and everytime I called they couldn’t tell me anything, then all of a sudden they called me and said it’s ready but were not clear on what they had done. I Drove the car home and same problems were there! After speaking to a manager at RDM, again the manager was very abrupt, it turned out they did nothing to the car as they said the bushes were fine and it was a wheel balancing issue that I needed to sort. I had the wheels balanced but same problem existed. Across the next few months I went through tyres every two months with the shaking ripping tyres to bits on the form and back. The garage refused to buy the car back at a reasonable price in relation to what I paid them for it (they offered to buy it back but for £6,000 less then I did just a few months ago) so have had to go to a reputable garage to diagnose the problem for me. I took it to an RAC Approved garage and guess what, It turns out it did need the bushes doing front and back and they told me the car should never have been sold like this. To top it off, they have also shown me the MOT RDM did on the car before i took it away (as you can find it on the gov website) It turns out it failed the MOT because it doesn’t have a DPF on it, but then 30 mins later it passed a second MOT and there was not mention of the DPF. The garage I have had the work done have checked for me and there is no DPF on the car which means their MOT was dodgy and knowingly selling A car without a DPF is illegal. I have just got my car back after repair and it has cost me £1500 and I only bought the car a few months ago. I have spent all this time fixing problems they knew it had but sold it anyway and then refused to take any responsibility for it.
I am writing this review because I am a single father of two children and this is my only car and I have lost a huge amount of money because of this garage and I hope I can at least protect someone else form making the same mistake.
I had a good experience and Adam Lochrie was very helpful. I was even collected from the Station.

Hmm kind of feel a few of these good reviews must be fake, anyhooo my experience is the same as the ones on trustpilot(the verified ones) utter rubbish bought a Jaguar XF they needed over a week to get it ready(week to wash a car ?) allegedly been for an MOT I doubt it even made it into the ramp, took it into work both rear wheel bearings have failed, blatantly obvious too if you had drove it play on lower suspension ball joints and a battery that just won’t keep the car working, rang to speak to Liam about warranty repairs who needed to speak to Nick(wasn’t in) and he couldn’t even be bothered to call back 3 weeks down the road still no call, bottom line keep your money and spend it elsewhere
So we enquired about a car they had for sale and arranged with one of there salesmen to view the car, when we arrived it was havoc. Know where to park other than at the other end of the industrial estate. We walked back to the dealership to find out the car was at the back of there valeting unit, after a while we finally got the salesmen to move it forward a bit so we could look over the car, the floor of the unit was soaking wet from the valeting bay and we kept getting spray from the jet wash coming over whilst looking at the car. Once he had pulled it forward the salesman just disappeared. We spent an hour looking over the car the best we could in the small wet space they had left for us. After an hour one of the valeters came over and asked if we wanted to test drive it. We said yes and he had to move at least 6/7 cars to get the car we was looking at out of the valeting unit. After another half hour wait to get the car out we finally had contact from the salesman again, we asked to test drive it, to which he said ok but it has no fuel in it so will have to go the the petrol station to put some in. Bearing in mind we had an appointment that had been booked in for over a week to do this and they still wasn’t prepared for us.
Went out for a test drive and the salesman just kept talking and talking and talking. Not even about the car half the time. We got back and had a chat about things we had found that we wanted doing if we were to purchase the car. Brake were very worn with big lips on the disks, wheels were kerbed, a damaged seat and the rear tyres were worn on the inner edge. They didn’t agree to do any of the work unless the mot guys said it needed doing. Anyway I knew the brakes would need doing as they was pretty bad, so we agreed a deal.
We then had to chase them for an update on the parts we wanted doing. When they finally got back to us they did the brakes and the wheels but not the tyres. So we accepted it and paid for the car, now bear in mind this was a £55000 car and not a £5000 car. Anyway after them telling us they needed 2 weeks to get the bits done and prep the car for collection. We agreed a date and time. We also purchased a 3 year RAC warranty with car and the car also came with a 30 day warranty from RDM.
Collection day, we turned up on time again to know where to park again. We looked over the car and finalised the sale with them. Drove it home and organised a detailer to come and clean the car properly as the job the dealership done was terrible.
After the car sitting in the garage for a few days we pulled it out to find a small patch of oil on the garage floor. After inspection we found the drivers side turbo was leaking oil. So we emailed RDM to get it done on there 30 day warranty, they told us we had to use the RAC warranty we took out when buying the car. We disputed this and after allot of chasing and hassle they said the car would have to go back to them for repair if it was covered under there warranty. Anyway after chatting with friends and family about the shambles’s this company has given us already we decided to get it done ourselves as we didn’t have any trust left in them now. We basically washed our hands of there poor service and attitude (I’m sure you’ll see there attitude in there reply to this review).
So to sum up this company they don’t have cars ready for booked in viewings, the salesmen don’t really do any selling just paperwork, there warranty’s are not worth the paper there printed on, they do t use genuine parts as we found out the brakes they replaced where not genuine items and they just want maximum profit with little work.
My daughter went to buy a used car from this company the sales team were very good and not pushey having paid for the car and driving it away it broke down 8 days later this was nearly 2 months ago and the car hasn't still been returned when ringing up the aftercare no-one seems to know what is going on with the car or where the car is so from the experience we are having with this company I wouldn't recommend any one dealing with these what an horrible experience for someone to have to deal with when buying her first car with the money she has earned
If you are selling your car through Motoway.com then be really cautious if this company "buys" your car. 8 days after they successfully bid on my car, I was still chasing them to arrange collection when they should have contacted me within 24 - 48 hours as per the contract. After 8 days I was informed that they didn't want to buy the car any more due to the price. The price that they bought if for? The price that they chose to bid for the car? The price that it was valued at? And the price that we have since resold it at? Incredibly unprofessional and I personally thought that buying a car at auction was legally binding but I guess that doesn't mean anything to this company.
If I could give zero stars I would
Bought a car and exhaust fell off just under 2 weeks later, they paid for it to get fixed but waiting weeks now for them to replace gear box and sort suspension on the car as on their way out too. This is our family car and I have two young children. It been a couple of months now and it’s still not been repaired and courtesy car was supposed to finally come and didn’t show up. Lack of response to calls and emails. They wouldn’t let us return the car either
If I could give 0 stars I would. Just check their reviews page on everything and you’ll see their aftersales service is vile, had nowt but trouble since buying a car from these and all they do is ignore you, I’ve emailed several times over the last few months to which they ignore then I call to which they say they’ll call back… theyve never called back and it’s been about 3-4 months 🤯, but unlucky for these I contacted my finance company who inspected the car and found the issues I had genuine and tons of issues stored on the cars ECU from the time I bought the car, and luckily they’ve gave me compensation for the hassle RDM have caused me and are sorting out the many repairs on the car, so if any of you who’ve had problems with your car and it’s on finance give them a call and explain everything to them and they will help even when RDM don’t!
Just stay far away from these people and save yourself any hassle.
I have emails and phone calls to prove the faults were reported to yourselfs and my finance company after 2 months of owning the car hence why the car is being returned to yourselfs as being faulty from purchase by 3 independent inspections.
I’ve had 3 independent inspections done on the car for them all to say it’s a dodgy car to begin with and even 1 proving the car has been extensively damaged repaired to a bad standard explaining all the issues the cars had. Next time maybe don’t ignore your customers for months on end or maybe just stop selling dodgy cars.
