Pretending to look like the official…
Pretending to look like the official government site, wording was unclear did not explain about fees. I completed online forms thinking it was my Government rebate and they have taken the money. Beyond rude and aggressive yet to see my money, they have even threatened me. I am super upset and needed the money so much.SSSCCCAAAAMMMMMMMMMM
I tried to cancel once I realised they…
RUDE STAFF, DO NOT USEI
Wish I could give no stars at all!
I tried to cancel once I realised they were charging 39% of any tax rebate ...my fault as didn't read the small print. I was 3 days out of the cooling off period but they would not budge. Staff member on emails was extremely rude and abrupt..no excuse ever when you choose to work in customer services. Was just abruptly told to fill a complaints form in. Which I've done
Learned a lesson from this.
The use of the word 'Gateway' makes it sound official ..as used on Gov.uk.
Great and reliable service
Great and reliable service. Without their involvement, I wouldn’t have known the types of rebates I am entitled to.
easy forms to fill out
easy forms to fill out, i have not completed the procedure as yet so at present i can not fully advise, but from first experience 5 stars
Modern day loan sharks
Hmrc sent a letter saying I was due £503 rebate and had sent it to these modern day loan sharks who paid me £224. If Hmrc know they have over charged why are the not sending it directly to the person who they have overcharged instead. They must know what these people charge. If you try to get in touch the customer service is appalling they are rude and abrasive. Why are Hmrc dealing with them? My husband had died 27/6 and could have done with the money to help with funeral costs. DO NOT GET INVOLVED WITH THESE SCAMMERS
Not even 1 star - if it was an option
Not even 1 star if it was an option.
My wife was advised that she was due a rebate and even got a letter in the post from HMRC.
Last email received was to say that the rebate had been confirmed and to await the p800 email, which never came.
I emailed to request an update as we have not heard back for weeks and was told this was sent in error.
I queried this and asked if this was the case even though my wife had received the letter from HMRC.
I was then met with a down right rude individual, (who did not leave a name at the end of the email) who was clearly relentless in making it clear they have no customer service skills, whatsoever.
I gave up in responding as I was clearly not going to get anywhere getting an update.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!
£147 after their fee
£147 after their fee. better than not having had it at all, which is what would have happened left to hmrc.
Joke of a company, stay clear
Would give less than 1 star if I could. I got a letter in January and contacted them straight away as being on maternity leave I could use the money. I got an email just over 3 weeks ago and was advised my claim was successful and to wait on a cheque and p800. Still no check or p800, I've emailed twice without response so asked for an update on live chat. Was told the email was sent in error, no apology was made. I asked for time scales or if I could go to hmrc direct to be told if I do that I have to pay rebate gateway 150 cancellation fee plus vat. No timescale basically told as long as it takes hmrc. Save the hassle and do it direct yourself. Shocking customer service. Doubt I'll ever see anything from this.
This company is a complete SCAM
This company is a complete SCAM. Please please please don’t listen to the good reviews, it’s all lies. They have agreed to start a case with an outcome within 12-16 weeks, it’s been 7 months and I still have no outcome: I have emails from them stating I was due money and then when I contacted was told this was sent in ERROR, the level of professionalism is non existent and are very cheeky and rude when you do contact.
Also when you ask to cancel and tell them you will sort it yourself, your then sent a bill for £150 plus VAT as a cancellation fee!! DO NOT USE DO NOT USE DO NOT USE
Alex was very helpful today
Alex was very helpful today, I had trouble uploading my repayment information and he helped me, he was brilliant and thank you.
Awful rude
Awful rude , said in two separate emails I was getting my refund , so after not receiving it I emailed once and was ignored for a week. Then emailed again to be told they sent not one but two emails out in error. And I wasn’t getting anything.
So I asked how this happened and the email was so rude I could not believe this was actually a trading company.
Disgusting I am now going to the ombudsman.
Would give it minus if I could
Would give it minus if I could! Shocking company. I used them last year and thought that was the end of our business. Then did my own claim through HMRC this year only for them to send me a letter asking for half of it. When I stated I did not ask them for their help and completed the process myself, they did not care. They then stated they would get bailiffs to come to my house for the £52!! Complete scam!
Shambles of a company hmrc wrote to me…
Shambles of a company hmrc wrote to me saying they sent them a cheque for £173 and all rebategateway only put £50.10 in my bank which is a lot more than the 39% there supposed to take and just ignore any emails you send them
THE WORST COMPANY EVER!
THE WORST COMPANY EVER!
Can't speak to anyone and emails get ignored, managed to 'talk' to someone on the live chat only to be dealt with loads of abuse and attitude also cut off mid conversation by them as they stated I was wasting their time and mine?! This joke of a company should be shut down. DO NOT use this company!!
Told me to please use another company……
Told me to please use another company… I beat them by getting my rebate through HMRC before they lifted a finger. Misleading and they claim to have your case complete in 12 weeks, then it was 16 weeks and now it’s use another company. Don’t waste your time on these cowboys.
Absolute scum of the earth
Absolute scum of the earth, didn’t hear anything for 2 years then found out via my tax code that had dropped by £5000 they had put a claim in 2 years later that was 6 months after we had separated , they left me is such a mess and they couldn’t care less , they even tried to blame me saying I should of told them we had separated, why would I instantly think of them 2 years on , HMRC have been notified they claimed while we weren’t together and making a profit in the process.
Scammers
HMRC sent a cheque for my rebate six weeks ago and I have still not received anything. They ignore my emails when I ask them where it is.
I previously asked them to cancel my claim but they refused to do so till they had made money from me.
Avoid Rebate Gateway!!!!
They are scammers and will take a large cut of your money!! Do not use this corrupt company. Seek advice elsewhere or go straight to HMRC if due a rebate. The person I spoke to today was so rude and unprofessional! Don’t trust them.
