I have recently completed the one week intensive course with the Reel Scene. It was a fantastic opportunity to get in-person experience of working with other actors. I was also given the chance to work with casting directors, professional actors, directors and other industry professionals. Working with the different directors, whom each had a different approach to scene and chartacter interpertation gave me great insight into the flexibility and adaptation required within the industry. We shot two scenes during the week that gave invaluable on-set experience. Alex and Josh were both incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout the week. And I also met some incredible people among my fellow actors, whom I now call friends.
I would highly recommend this course.

I attended the One Week Intensive and it was a fantastic experience! We were allowed to work with several directors and producers on a drama and comedy scene AND left with our very own headshots and showreels AND I met wonderful people. My week at The Reel Scene was one of the most intense, insightful, amazing times I have ever got to experience.
Having been on the Actors Gym for a while, I decided it was time to take one more step towards making this dream of mine come true.
That’s when I met Alex, who was incredibly welcoming and always ready to answer any of my questions; his support and enthusiasm set the tone for the entire course, making me feel excited and confident about the journey ahead.
This intensive course taught me an incredible amount, and I can confidently say that I grew not only as an actress but also as a person.
The structured training sessions, covering everything from script analysis to character development, provided me with a solid foundation and new techniques to hone my craft. The coaches were outstanding; working with such industry professionals was both inspiring and enlightening. Their feedback was invaluable and motivated me to push my boundaries.
Filming my first scene in front of a camera was initially intimidating, but the support from my fellow actors, directors, and crew members made it much easier. The practical experience I gained from these sessions is something I will carry forward into my future projects. (Now, I actually feel quite comfortable on set!)
Being an international actor comes with its challenges these days, but The Reel Scene ensures that everyone feels included and valued, regardless of their background.
Everyone who works at The Reel Scene is ready to help and support you , whether you’re just starting out or looking to try something new.
It is a great experience that equips you with the skills, confidence, and connections needed to pursue a career in acting.

I have just had the privilege of completing the 6-day intensive acting course. I don’t know where to start, I had the most incredible time working with The Reel Scene! It all starts with Alex. From the very first briefing in the taster workshop, I thought he was so knowledgeable about the industry and is so passionate about his job. He also makes such an effort to make actors feel comfortable and relaxed about joining, especially if you’re a little on the fence. He was always available to answer questions that I had prior to joining.
The only criticism I have about the course itself is that it isn’t longer! I chose the intensive course because I already had drama school training but I was really struggling to find my way into the industry on my own; this course is the way in. I felt so included and willing to start again with fresh eyes and these incredible tutors/industry professionals really helped me notice where I was going wrong. (Things that even three years of drama school didn’t teach me)! That’s the bit I loved the most, The Reel Scene workshop leaders are professionals that are in the industry right now and know exactly what goes on. They’re not full time lecturers like you may get in drama schools. Therefore, they had the best tips on what to do for an audition, what not to do, how to prep for roles talking from their own experiences. This was really beneficial.
I throughly enjoyed filming the two short scenes and working with different directors, crew members. This really opened up our eyes to what it’s like to act for screen and how it all works, how to adapt to different directors, etc.
I truly feel fully prepared to head out into the industry after completing this course. Not to mention, making some really really great friends!
Also a shoutout to Josh who really took care of us and helped out everyday and made us feel so welcome. It was great to have someone around who had completed the course before and knew exactly what we were getting ourselves into!
Overall, I would highly recommend this course to other actors who feel they have lost their craft somehow and need to get back in touch with it or you’re someone who simply wants to carry out a dream they’ve always had.

Jut finished the year acting course and not only did I learn so much and level up my acting skills, the Reel Scene really does well to bring you that family vibe which allows you to feel so comfortable and welcome. Alex and Nicola are absolutely golden!

It's also a great chance to gain a clear insight into how the industry works. Given that you'll be spoken to by industry professionals who have been in the game for decades!

Hands down, The Reel Scene has been my ultimate source of fun and learning since I left Uni. It's been the highlight of my month every time. I've soaked up so much knowledge, met awesome people, and had a fantastic time along the way. The classes were educational and enjoyable, and working with industry professionals is another big bonus! Their guidance and encouragement have really helped me to understand myself as well as different techniques better and boosted the confidence in my performances.
It's been a place where I've laughed, learned, and grown as an actor and as a person. I couldn't recommend it more. If you're into acting or want to get into acting PLUS want to have a good time while learning new skills, this place is where it's at!

I recently wrapped up the Reel Scene online acting course, and I must say it has been an amazing experience. Each session, whether it was on cold reading, character development, or scene study, was an eye-opener, personally guided by seasoned professionals who were genuinely invested in our growth. The self-tape workshops were particularly transformative, helping me find my unique voice in performances. Ending the course with a showcase performance felt like a culmination of a deeply personal journey. This course didn't just teach me about acting; it helped me grow as an individual and as an artist.

I had been looking for a company or someone to study acting under, and still not sure if it is where I wanted to take the direction of my future.

Along comes an ad for The Real Scene trial class, and this one resonated with me. I found out some more and once happy this was the right move, paid £30 to attend a 3hr trial class with a Q&A session.

The Reel Scene were quick to follow up with emails once booked and actually sent out update emails when they said they would, creating a positive mindset before attending.

The setting is a church hall building in Pimlico, with enough room to allow budding, enthusiastic, wannabe actors to go through the trials of acting.

We were a small crew of 6, and given plenty of individual attention. Warm up sessions for vocals, understanding where breath comes from; spoiler alert it’s not just the chest!! A very involved memory game, I won’t spoil the surprise, and of course the reason we were there, some acting. It was all delivered in a fun vibrant and enthusiastic style, leaving me smiling the whole session.

The pace was outstanding, allowing me to absorb and learn, but also get a feel for what it takes to become an actor, realising I’m only looking at the first rung of the ladder, let alone starting to climb it.

All-in-all a fabulous trial session and explanation about the company and the several courses.

Most importantly to me, the team running and delivering the courses, the training and the drops-ins, are all actively involved in the TV, Film and Theatre scene. Not past, not a teacher of the arts who hasn’t acted for years, but actually finishing Sunday afternoon with a class, and then back on set, stage, post or pre-production for their current project, that for me is my most important inspiration.

I can’t recommend the trial session enough. If £30 is affordable, invest in your future and attend the trial class.

I can’t yet speak for the main courses, but on my way out I was speaking to a few of the students from one of the classes and they were gushing with praise.

What I have learnt from this one 3hr session and feedback from these other classmates, is that by joining The Reel Scene, you are joining a family, invested in making you the actor you want to be.

Oh and on leaving the class, I was invited to stay and watch and learn from one of the other classes, alas, duty calls and I had to leave, but I was impressed yet again, the promised email about the course’s structure was already waiting in my inbox.

Did the trial class 3 summer's ago, loved it so went again before signing up for the 12 month screen acting course. Had a great experience during this year, lead by fantastic acting acting coaches and filmed by a superb crew. Now with RS Talent and have landed a few commercials already this year.

Great professional screen acting school managed by great people! I did the year course, the weekend schedule allowed me to travel for classes once a month from Paris. I would recommend the Reel Scene for actors who want to understand how the acting industry works in the UK. We got to work with different industry professionals every month (directors, actors, casting directors, producers…), people who can speak and teach from experience. Small group means everyone gets individual attention and screen time. And most importantly every month you shoot scenes for your showreel and at the end of the course you get to act in a professional short film with a director, full crew… we were so lucky to have an incredible set location this year and be directed by Charles Belleville. Thanks a million to Alex and Nicola for this incredible year! :)

I studied at the reel scene for a whole year and it was a really great, educational and practical experience. I have acquired so much knowledge of the acting industry and learnt so much in such a short space of time

I have worked with the Reel Scene as a freelance crew member on their short films and scenes. I have always had a good day shooting with everyone and the team is incredibly friendly and professional. I have also had the pleasure of working with some great actors from the industry who are brought in to direct and coach students.

I have just graduated from The Reel Scene One Year Screen Acting Course, and I couldn’t be happier with my experience. I decided to join the course at 18 after completing my A-Levels. The course has taught me so much about the industry and has helped me grow as an actor. We covered a range of topics; Business talks, voice classes, Meisner, Soap acting, Comedy, how to break down a script, mock casting auditions, headshots, firearms and mocap training and finished each month by filming a scene on screen, directed by an industry professional. One of the great things about the school is that you come away with connections to working actors and industry professionals and I was lucky enough to make friends for life with the other actors on my course. I graduated the year course by shooting a short film, which is credited on my IMDb.
The school is such a welcoming environment and the staff truly want the best for you and your career.
If you have been thinking about a career in screen acting, The Reel Scene is the place to be!

I have just finished studying at the Reel Scene and have loved every minute. I have done the Year Course, The Event and the Advanced course and it is such a welcoming environment that gives you the space to learn and grow as an actor and as a person. I'm so grateful for the support I've received from them and they even helped me land a role in a feature film they were involved in. Everyone who works there is active in the industry, giving real advice and connections. Thank you to everyone involved!

I recently had a five star experience with the Reel Scene. I did the 6 day 'The Event' acting course and it was absolutely fantastic- it delivered everything I could have hoped for and more.

The actors who came in each day to direct us were extremely helpful and guided us in a professional yet warm and friendly manner. The day spent learning theatre technique with David Schaal was a personal highlight for me.

Alex and Nicola from the Reel Scene were also five star hosts on the course as they made sure that we had everything needed to make the course a real success. They have a genuine desire to see Reel Scene students do well and this really shone through on the course and has continued to shine through since the course ended.

This is one of the best things about the Reel Scene - they want you to do well and will go the extra mile to help prepare you for the world of acting, both on the course and beyond.

I'm really grateful for my experience on the course and have already recommended it to some friends. If you're looking to get into acting / develop your acting career then I'd definitely recommend it.

I found the Reel Scene three month course excellent for someone just starting in the industry. The combination of really experienced professional actors teaching with Alex and Nicola’s insight and support was the perfect blend. There was a lovely, warm atmosphere throughout and in addition to the coverage of acting styles the classes on audition technique and self-taping were invaluable professionally. I subsequently joined the RS Talent agency and have already secured TV jobs.

Really enjoyed taking classes with the Reelscene, I learnt a lot and still keep in touch with some of my old class mates to this day!

Great teachers on a great mission, they always have time for everybody! The standard of coaching is very high; all of the coaches have experience performing in TV and theatre! There is always a great atmosphere and the knowledge I have gained will forever be invaluable! I have done three courses with the Reel Scene and they just get better and better!
