Manchester Gold St has a staff of very …
Manchester Gold St has a staff of very professional Customer Service Reps. I am 65 years old and have many experiences with customer relations, both good and bad. They are the best.
VERY bad experience
I have used this company for some time, some time good and sometime bad but lately it has been really bad. Firstly having changed email, I contacted them to say I needed to update my contact email; was told that no problem - let me have the update and it is done.....well 6 months on they have not changed the primary email; I added the new one as a second email, they send me adverts through the new email, but refuses to send me any bookings but instead uses the defunk address despite my constant communication to say otherwise. When I finally got hold of their tech, they said I would need to create a NEW account - not a problem if they allowed me to take across the points that had built up which could be used to reduce the cost of the hires. Who are they trying to kid?
Secondly, been waiting for a confirmation of a booking for over 2 weeks, got a phone call to say length of contract is too long, but can offer me another company BUT at a higher price. I immediately went online and found the same company but got a cheaper quote. Rental-a-car says they would price match, but tells me they will check it out and get back to me in 48 hours. Well by that time I may not get the same deal. I asked that they check it online immediately but they refused.
Added to this, I had to constantly repeat my sentences because the representative did not speak good English, nor could she understand my answers or questions sufficiently. From an already bad experience, the situation was made worse because of an inadequacy of understanding pure simple English. From a very frustrated customer.
Really bad service. Seems like fraud
We have rented a car through Enterprise, Nice Fr. And it is definitely the last time.
The car was pre-paid and booked for 11 o'clock. Upon arrival the car was delayed and we did not receive the car until 16 o'clock.
We received the car in a dark garage where it was very difficult to assess the condition of the car. Unfortunately we did not photography the car with flashlight.
When we returned the car the handling agent imidiately inspected the front bumper in a brightly lit arrival hall and quickly applied some white fluid to enhance some fine scratches on the bumper. We know the damage was not done to the car while it was in our possession. Seemed to us like we were setup to pay for damage already on the car. Enterprise withdrew 850 Euro from my account to cover for the very minor scratches, even before we had left the airport.
My advice: If you plan to use Enterprise, thoroughly photograph the car with flashlight. Carefully inspect the windows! Check your insurance!
Very good
I have rented many times with Enterprise in the UK (Gatwick and Stansted) and the service they have provided has been without fault. Obviously, you must be careful to understand the pitfalls like petrol charges: full tank returning full tank is the best. Their cars are usually practically new and without damage, whereas with other companies I have been charged for damage, not caused by me, because I missed it when checking the car on pick-up.
I can't answer for other branches of the company, but my experience in the above 2 locations has been excellent.
AVOID Enterprise rent-a-car
Rented a car for 7 days in Sardenia / Olbia Airport from Alamo / Enterprise Rent-a-Car. When returning the car they charged EUR 200 for a scratch UNDER the vehicle... that was only visible with a mirror... for this Company there is only one advise: AVOID - they operate with an illegal business model - further, the staff is unfriendly and not willing to help
no customer service / money scammers
I booked a car through this website for dollar / Hertz. This company then overcharged me and isn't paying any money back.
After renting a car with this company for a few days and returning it, they tried to say I had scratched a hubcap. They then sent through an invoice of £235 for a scratched hubcap! I then complained and didn't receive a response. 2 weeks later the scam company then took over £500 from my bank account!!! I have since tried contacting the company and still not go anywhere and still trying to get back at least some of my money.
NEVER EVER EVER BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY!
Rentalcars => no way
Pre-paid rental of a Fiat Panda from 8 to 15 August 2016, departing from Olbia airport in Sardinia. Booking and payment of the entire rental several months earlier.
At the exit of the airport, nobody. We end up by joining the local agency, TARGET, on the phone. Looks like we're disturbing; They do not come to fetch us!
We arrive at the agency by our own means and there, stupefaction. There is no car available for us as we arrived late !!!
Despite our long insistence, no solution is proposed to us by the agency Target! They do not even call Rentalscar.com. They even refuse to serve us a glass of water.
We join Rentalcars.com at tel. We are offered a car 50% more expensive than originally planned. That is, say it, the last available on the island.
We refuse. We are told that only one third of the rental amount will be refunded. (I recall that we paid the entire rental several months earlier).
In summary, it seems to me that Rentalcars.com puts on the net with attractive rates and uses different methods (before handing in the keys, during rental or return) to make the rate much higher. To avoid so !!!
Why ? When you have booked a traveling week in Sardinia and the car is not on arrival, either the holidays are damaged, or you pay more!
not reliable
not reliable .
when you are collecting the car the things becomes different.
grs car rental dalaman.
had a very bad experience with them
Misinformed, charged double the amount, agent mocking me, no help
I rented a car and discovered that they offered a pre filled fuel policy. That charged me 80€ for a tank of 30 litter, just to display lower price on the site. Its a shame that you have to discover this policy by paying the option at the latest moment.
It was written in their term and conditions. I didn't read every single line. Indeed.
But I believe that something like this should be more obvious to the customer.
On top of that, discussing this with the agent, I did not get any help at all, and I was finally greeted with a sarcastic "bye bye now", I did not know that customer service could be about not helping but mocking customers.
Avoid them at all cost.
Worst Company Don't try to use them at all. They cheat on the rates!!!
This is absolutely the worst experience of renting a car. They are overcharging on the prices and try to cheat in anyway they can while you are doing the booking. A sincere advice book directly and avoid this Rentalcars by all means.
Be aware!!!
We hire a car in Scotland for 7 days throuhgt Rentalcars.com (easirent) with FULL COVER. On the second day our hire blow up!
We needed to change the tire for the temporary spare wheel and then Garage/service should change it for the normal one. But nobody have the wheel adequate for that car (ford focus)!!! And we needed to wait one day for the wheel!
We've called our insurance company (rentalcars and easirent) but they could not have been more rude. They could not even say they were sorry for the inconvenience or condition of the car.
We were told that thay can't help us they don't have that type of wheel today. We should wait until tomorrow. Thay also can't change a car for us. I must admit the insurance and the company disconnected two times with us.
We lost a lot of money just for trying to solve the problem. The person on the phone told us that we don't have any choice...
So we lost one day of our holiday, we lost money for the accommodation that we needed to book compulsively because we were waiting for the wheel and the place was not our destination. We lost 1night in the booked hotel in other city.
Next day we have paid cash for the wheel.
When we returned the car in Easirent office (near glasgow airport) we were just told that 'SHI t HAPPENS.' They told us that the money for exchange will be refunded but for the accommodation for the one day of not using the car NOT.
But we are still waiting for the refund!!!
Rentalcars , Easirent for us = No customer service, extremely negligent, extremely out of touch with customer service.
Easirant wants to blame Rentalcars, Rentalcars wants to blame Easirent and neither company care about making the customer feel appreciated or wanted.
Never again will I and my friends rent from that companies.
I keep being charged by Noleggiare.it and Rentalcars.com do nothing to it
After 8 months Noleggiare.it from Bologna Airport keeps charging me without any advice or reason and do not give any explanation and when I contact Rentalcars.com where I was doing the booking they do nothing to it. Now they are asking me for the company details to send me the invoice but Noleggiare charged me, the driver, not company, and the invoice of what expenses after 8 months???
Once again, in Italy you are alone with the hire car companies. Rentalcars.com does not interfere in others businesses
Damage got paid!
We rented a car on Sardinia with sicilybycar through rentalcar.
We had to pay 300eu in damage cause there was a scratch on the car. I claimed this damage because we paid extra for full coverage.
After sending the claim I never got an email telling me the claim was received. I called after a couple of days and the person on the phone told me it was received and its not protocol to send an email.
They said the claim would take up to three weeks. After a week and a half I got an email telling me I would get back the whole amount paid. So I was happy!
Okay service, but my advice would be to sent an email of confirmation after the claim is made. When I made this statement to the person on the phone it sounded like they reacted a bit defensive, so there was no need for that.
Happy I got my money back!
Worst scum I have ever experienced, run away while you still can!
I have made a booking for car rental in Israel at Sixth Shlomo car rentals using Rentalcars services. I have confirmed the booking and in good faith prepaid the supposed to be total amount of $412.72 US.
Upon arrival to the rental company counter, I was shocked and devastated to be told that the amount I have already paid is not even 30% of the actual cost. The company informed me that in addition to the rental fee there are mandatory insurance fees of $17 per day (170% higher than the car rental cost itself!!), local taxes of 17%, airport collection fees and several other surprises. I have been told that in order to collect the car I will need to add additional $970 on top of the $412 which I have already paid (not including the $1,200 deposit fee)
So my expected $412 in total now becomes almost $1,400!
I will like to clarify that upon my booking and payment, the additional charges has not been disclosed at all. Only after I have made the payment, in my booking confirmation, there were some indications in small letters for potential insignificant local charges. None mentioned that those insignificant local charges were actually making my total car rental price 3.3 times more expensive from what has been initially indicated.
Seeing the Scum/Misleading information, I have informed Sixth Shlomo that if this is the case so I will like to cancel my booking and be refunded for the money that I paid. They said that this should not be a problem and that I can contact Rentalcar to ask for the refund because they are the ones holding my money.
I have been trying to contact them for weeks, been kept on hold for hours..... no answer.
When I finally got hold of a representative in the HQ, explained the situation and asked for a refund of my money, she told me that she will need to talk about it with her manager... Kept me on hold for over 40 minutes when I finally had to cancel the call -remind you this is an overseas call from Israel to the UK.
This company is a pure scum, they mislead you with the prices purposely so you will book through them, they never pick up the phone and they treat you really bad. I wouldn't be surprise if they would be sued and run out of business in the near future. "You can fool some people sometimes but you cant fool all the people all the time"
Eyal
Warning- worst rip off ever experienced
We were to rent a car in Alicante and searched the for the cheapest option and found rentalcar. We paid approx 2700 nok, this was to include daily rent + full insurance for one driver. We were to pickup the car at Interrent (Europcar) in Alicante and Interrent claimed us to pay additional 428 euros which more than doubles the price!! This was because the company claimed to sit back with insurance and daily rent in addition to the cost paid at rentalcar. The service was also extremely poor, our car was already rented to someone else and we had prebooked 2 weeks in advance. We had prebooked a small car due to parking issues in the house we were to rent. This is by far the worst rip off I have ever experienced!
Thieves
The worst company, if you want a refund or something happens they will not refund your money
The worst company ever, don't rent a car with them
This company was appalling. The confirmation email they sent us did not have the name of the actual rental company on it so once we got to Zuerich airport we had to call them to find out which company we had to cue for.
It took them 30 minutes to answer the phone. Then when we finally got to Europcar we realised that the car that the guy from rental car had advised me to book was far to small. This was even though I had calle dthem and discussed it with them. On top of it the actual car we had booked was not available. To upgrade to a bigger car cost 500 euros, more than the taxi to the ski resort. As a result we wanted to cancel our reservation and they refused to refund any money. Europcar agreed to the cancelation but rental car wouldn't. So I would never rent a car with them again.
wow 😲 what amazing company
Wow 😲 what amazing company charlotte is first class so understanding and helpful nothing was to much to help with 😊
No mercy
I had arranged a rental car for Muscat, Oman. I realized at the departing airport that I did not have my drivers license with me. I called the agency and explained that I did have a copy in my phone. I was advised that they would rent the car to me however advised that if stopped by the police for any reason, that it could be a lot of trouble. I cancelled the rental and proceeded. I asked for a refund, but the fine print (that no one ever reads) says that I would have had to cancel 48 hours in advance. Technically, they were right, but it appears that they apply their language verbatim. Lesson learned to read the fine print, but most companies would be a bit more understanding.
