I signed up for a 30 day free trial, though I ended up not using the site at all as they were still asking for payment to reveal the landlords details. I attempted to cancel the membership but couldn’t as apparently I wasn’t put on a plan but ended up charging me anyway. After emailing them about why I was charged, they blamed me for not cancelling the ‘membership’.

I have been on subscription since 15th October 2022 and am yet to secure an Accomodation here from you. This is not fair enough at all. All I need is juts a 1 or 2 bedroom within Dunstable or Luton. And my range is between £500 and £900. Pls it’s an urgent issues. 07311251088 my mobile line

This is a scam site. My experience is identical to several 1 star reviews below.
Many featured properties are fake. They either don't exist in the place described, or are not available to rent.
Having registered, I received 3 emails from what turned out to be fake landlords looking to rent properties that didn't exist - but they all had a story to tell and wanted some form of payment up front. I was initially taken in, but when I investigated further I discovered that the properties advertised didn't actually exist - at least not where they were supposed to be.
I would advise you not to pay for a subscription to a site that is either completely fraudulent, or does nothing to prevent the site being used by scammers and fraudsters
My advice - do not trust this site, don't pay for a subscription and treat anything received from RentHero with the utmost suspicion.
I should also add that many of the 5* reviews here are clearly nothing of the sort.

SCAM!!!!!! Within the last week, I have now had 3 landlords email me about properties they have to rent. All 3 have done and said exactly the same thing. First they let you know they have a property that might be of interest to you. Then when you ask about it, they reply with pictures, where the property is located, more details and also the rent. All three have somehow been in my budget... Including bills!? Made me a little suspicious when that was mentioned. The first "landlord" said that due to people messing him around in the past he would need a reservation deposit then he would write up an assured shorthold tenancy agreement. 🚩 The second "landlord" was a little more convincing. Said that she had moved closer to family due to her hearing loss. I was asked to read the tenancy agreement before coming to the viewing to make sure it was all okay and that she had been let down in the past. 🚩 I was a little suspicious by this point but then I had an email from the third landlord. Explaining she had moved to be closer to family due to hearing loss and she wanted to someone to take care of her property.
All 3 emails stated 🚩 they were looking for a prospective tenant due to being let down in the past🚩
Also, after having a look at the pictures I was sent of each property and checking buildings on streetview... Nothing matched.

The names were Martins Jason, Amanda Miller and Karen Gunn.

BE CAREFUL OUT THERE

I like the quick turn up of response but it seems never to get to quick action. I keep sending requests and getting feedback of successful delivery,yet nobody I reaching out to talk to me about the property.
It makes everything seem unreal.
