Subscription scam!

I subscribed by mistake and the first day that the subscription was charged I tried to cancel it and get a refund and it was not possible. It’s a scam basically where they get you to subscribe and then they steal your money.

GIVE ME A REFUND

GIVE ME A REFUND. PISSED. there’s no way of calling or emailing, I went from a $2 subscription charge to $55 with no email reminders. I was just trying to help a friend find a place to stay a few months ago. Pissed off. Subscriptions are a scam. Don’t use this website.

Scam

Scam. Like many others, after your £1 trial is over you will be charged £35 and cancelling is extremely difficult and won’t issue a refund. Thai is clearly a problem and have already reported to trading standards and financial ombudsman. Avoid!!!!!

I wanted to sign up but it costs 1 euro, and when I talked to many people they got charged between 60 and 100 euros its a scam and should be stopped u should not pay to use a site for rent since the landlords already pay to have their ads there, get a life and stop scamming people

Avoid that website

Takes money from people just to redirect you to another paid website. Never got any landlord information. Many times the offer already doesn’t exist on the external website it takes you to. Waste of time and money.

Rentola offers a €1 trial scam

Rentola offers a €1 trial, but then charges €39 per month automatically. I was hit with €78 for two months, with no clear way to cancel.
This is a repeated pattern according to many other users’ reviews. The trial is a trap, the charges are disproportionate and unfair, and the company makes it nearly impossible to opt out.
Avoid unless you want to get caught in an expensive recurring subscription.

Avoid signing up for Rentola

Avoid signing up for Rentola. It's a scam. Their business model is built on offering a $1 trial period with no option to cancel the subscription or remove the card details from the account, then waiting until the renewal date hits.
And no, I couldn't cancel the subscription easily. In the subscription section, there was no cancel button, and when I tried to delete card details, it showed an error message. I contacted support 3 times with no reply, so I had to cancel my debit card with my bank and get a new one to stop Rentola pulling money from it.
And now, half a year later, they are trying to have my Trustpilot review removed by flagging it as defamatory.

Be careful a potential scam

I had a frustrating experience with Rentola. I was charged for a service that didn’t deliver what was promised, and the transaction wasn’t even visible in their system. When I tried to resolve the issue, I received no meaningful support or explanation.

After digging deeper, I discovered many other users reporting similar problems, which made me question the legitimacy and transparency of the platform. I’ve reported the payment to PayPal under their buyer protection policy and requested the deletion of my account and personal data.

Avoid Rentola at all costs.

Their so-called “trial” is a trap — there’s no clear way to cancel, and even after submitting a cancellation request before the deadline, they still charged me for a full subscription. Support responds after charging you, then refuses refunds with generic excuses. This is a predatory business model designed to exploit users. I’ve reported them to EU consumer protection authorities and strongly advise others to stay away.

Really sketchy company

Really sketchy company. I never remember signing up for a subscription and it appears that "Rentola.pl" (based in Poland, I guess?) has been charging my credit card about $50 dollars each month for the past two years. Absolute scam.

We do not take payments without prior authorization. All billing details, including the transition from a trial to a full subscription, are clearly stated during the sign-up process, in our Terms and Conditions, and in the welcome email sent to every user. This ensures that our users are informed of how the service works before they enter their details.
