I have always trusted WEX/Fixation to handle any repairs to my Nikon equipment. Not the quickest as my cameras and lenses are fairly old but top quality service.

Had to book in a repair for my faulty…

Had to book in a repair for my faulty RX100, they clearly communicated the price estimation and fixed the camera within the time they suggested on their site. It is now in fully working order. I'm very pleased with the results and their professional service.

Failed Shutter replacement

I sent the camera off for repair after the shutter had failed and it came back in perfect working order a couple of weeks later.

Good Service, quickly delivered

Easy to arrange shipment, to and from London. Fast analysis of the problem and clear option to go ahead or not. The only problem was that when it came to pay for the repair, the system for payment did not work correctly. This was resolved quickly however with a phone call and the ability to pay over the phone.

Excellent profesional service throughout.

I got clear and concise instructions for arranging the repairs to my lens, I was sent a pre-paid label so that I could send my lens safely and I received a free, detailed estimate for the required repairs. I had nothing to pay until the repairs were completed and the lens was then returned to me with next day delivery.

The front desk service was very polite…

The front desk service was very polite and friendly.

The sensor i had cleaned still had dust on when i took a shot of the sky as soon as i put a lens on the body OK it was a f32 which i will never use but still some oil spots visible at smaller apertures lucky not ones i use unless very bright conditions and slow shutter speeds.

Fortunately the dust is not a problem in my images just a couple of oil spots which i can remove and i appreciate than the 1DX range do drop oil on the sensor but i was still surprised to see so much dust on the sensor even at F32 after a professional clean.

I have saved the images i took.

Easy booking. Good communication. Reasonable price.

Easy booking of a repair to a 5-year old Sony alpha 6400.
Shipping was simple. Assessment was done shortly after. Repair activities and cost were described clearly.
Repair was done quickly and camera returned very soon thereafter.
Probably took <2-weeks for the whole process. Price was reasonable given camera cost.
Wex camera repair did a good job end to end. Recommended. Sony for an amateur camera that needs repair at about 5-years perhaps not so much.

Very good lens repair

I had a lens repair done. The process was easy, automated, and communication good. Turnaround was prompt and the lens returned very well packed, together with the soft case I'd sent it in with (i.e. they didn't lose it!). The lens, which is over 10 years old, looks and performs as new. I'd recommend.

Above and Beyond

I had stupidly dropped my Nikon DSLR and Tamron SP G2 150-600 lens. I went to a few local repair shops. Had to pay for the camera/ lens to even be looked at but I guessed, that's the deal. At Fixation, the guy said it was probably not worth fixing my Nikon as it quite old, would cost a bit and I might as well buy a new one.. No idea if that was true but I got a used model from Wex in Whitechapel for £300 - I had been quoted elsewhere £479 for repair. For the Tamron I'd been quoted £400 repair and when I said I wasn't sure I could afford it, was told they'd 'knock off' 100 quid. That's when I became suspicious and started the internet research. WELL! I found Fixation... No charge to look at the lens, and if once they provide a quotation I couldn't afford it, no worries they'd give it back.. And what a professional quotation it was! Break down of labour and parts. Just what you need. I left it with them. My quote was £185, I said yes and when I got the Tamron back, my goodness, it was like brand new; they'd gone above and beyond, even cleaning and polishing it (or so it seemed) and now it works perfectly. Thank you Fixation. Much appreciated.

Good service

Thank you for your comments, and we are sorry that the overall process took longer than either of us would have liked, particularly as this was noticeably longer than your previous experiences with us.

The repair itself was delayed due to the required Sony part being on back order, and we sent updates during this period to advise that the item was awaiting parts. Once the repair was completed we sent a payment link to pay by card, your accounts team requested a proforma invoice in order to make payment by BACS. Unfortunately, the payment reference we supplied was not used, which meant our accounts team were unable to match the payment to the transaction. As we were unaware that payment had been received, this resulted in a further delay before the lens could be released.

While we appreciate that this repair took considerably longer than expected, delays of this nature are unusual and were caused by a combination of the Sony parts shortage and the subsequent payment matching issue.

We appreciate your patience throughout and apologise for the extended turnaround.
