Better communication please...

Better communication please...
I understood when I ordered that it was a pre-order and I would have to wait, but at the time the estimate was end of September. The shoes didn't arrive until end of November. There was only one voluntary communication during that time. I had to reach out a few times to check the status myself. Given the way pre-orders work there should be more communication and status updates. Otherwise, it feels like you just took my money with no concern for the actual delivery of the product. I also realize there have been issues with materials. Again, that's not the issue, it's the communication that could have been better.

4 months of continual disappointment

Ordered shoes in September, with the promise that deliveries would go be going out in October. Then the delivery estimates were pushed into November. Now I've received notice that they ran out of stock and I won't see a delivery until January. I wasn't even offered some form of apology discount for their stocking system error. Just terrible customer satisfaction. This has not been a fun experience.

Shoes weren't as pictures on the site. One color was much darker and the eyelets were different.

Worth the wait!

The shoes fit perfectly! It took about 5 months for them to arrive. However, when the shoes finally did arrive, I was happy to have them. Only complaint I have is the grip on the shoes is not that grippy. I slipped on some sand on a concrete driveway. May have just been me. I will likely order more shoes from Ridgemont Outfitters in the future.

I lurv them.

These shoes are so well made. I love them! I preordered and it took months to get them, but it was worth the wait. They're light, breathable, sturdy, and just really cool looking too. Nothing cheap about them.

Shoes are great - delivery logistics/communication a little rough

I recently received my pair of Monty High's and they are great (wearing them right now, in fact). They seem very well made and the soles are nice and sturdy given how light the shoe is.

I know that the COVID situation has made things difficult for this company's business model, but I thought the communication was still murky regarding delivery timing. Here was my timeline:

July 31 - placed my order

Aug 17 - received notification of COVID-related delays at the overseas manufacturer (totally understandable)

Oct 31 - received notification that the shipment would arrive in the states that day or the next

Nov 3 and 5 - received two promo emails from the company saying that the shoes I had ordered were still available for pre-order (meaning the shipment hadn't arrived?)

November 17 - I finally emailed their customer service rep asking for an update. They were polite and apologized...and then shipped the shoes the next day. Not sure how much longer I would have had to wait without requesting that update.

Again, the shoes are great, but more transparent communication on the company's end would be good.

While I am grateful for the Monty-hi black gum shoes you sent me, I thought I was getting the Monty-low red/yellow shoes.

I love the look of these shoes

I love the look of these shoes. My pair came and the heal started coming off. I was sent a brand new pair pretty quickly at no charge!

Terrible experience!!!

I made a purchase from Ridgemont Outfitters a few weeks ago. According to their website shipping would take 7-10days. I received a shipping notification a few days later...great right? Well for the past 2 weeks I have tracked my package and every time it states “your package is on the way to a USPS facility.” In other words it hasn’t shipped lime I have been led to believe. I have yet to get a response to any of my emails trying to get info. I would absolutely NOT make a purchase from these bums unless you like being ripped off!!

Brown Monty lo

Purchased the brown Monty lo’s via preorder in July and they arrived mid November. Well worth the wait as these hiking shoes are comfortable, seem sturdy(tbd as I wear them more ) and so awesome looking. Being a preorder it took longer than I wanted but this was to be expected given the pandemic, and you can’t beat that preorder price. Hope they hold up well and I’ll be sure to buy another pair soon!

I understand the state of the world has…

I understand the state of the world has affected the order of these shoes. That being said I would have greatly appreciated more updates from the company. Upon ordering I was told I would receive the shoes in October, it is almost December and I still do not have my order.

Paid for three shoes months ago…

Paid for three shoes shoes months ago and haven’t received anything. We’re now a month past the purported deadlines.

Update - received the shoes today, it definitely took quite a while. The shoes are nice, the laces could be longer and the overall width could be a bit wider as well. Maybe buy a half size larger than what you usually do

Top notch

Short story? Best boots for me. Period

Longer story? I saw an ad for this brand and didn’t really know exactly what to expect. Social media is pretty saturated with “great products” that aren’t that great...
Well I bought a pair of ridgemont boots, and the comfort and quality is above and beyond what I expected. I bought second pair just for variety. And they’re both just as comfy as day one, but worn in nice.

A long wait but worth it!

I ordered a pair of Outback boots early this year and it turned out they were oversold. Customer service contacted me quickly and said I could cancel the order, substitute another color, or wait for the next production run... but they had no idea when that would be. I decided to wait as I was in no particular rush. The Customer Service team did a great job of keeping me informed when new information about my order became available, including shipping delays, etc. Good customer service seems to be growing mor rare but the Ridgemont Outfitters team nailed it. And my boots arrived just in time for the cold weather.

Dope shoes, completely trash process. I ordered them in July and have received 3 emails regarding three of the seven delivery postponements. 5 months... Either the kids in the sweatshops that they utilize need a Snickers, or they should alter the business model.... Oh yeah, still haven't gotten them...
