The customer service at Ruka is top notch! I had an issue with my order and not only did they correct the concern they gave me free hair perfumes for the inconvenience. The service and response was fast and attentive. I would definitely shop with them again.

I normally buy from anyone online but I wanted to support this business because I was happy to see a black hair company. I was sad my headband wig was too big my wig keeps slipping in public it fell off when my friend hugged me. I emailed to tell them the situation but they didn't get back to me. It broke my heart because it is hard to find textured hair

I don’t usually leave reviews unless I’ve had a bad experience and want to warn people HOWEVER my experience with Ruka has been beautiful.

I ordered the Think Silk clip ins last year December and due to the Royal Mail strikes it exceeded the delivery timeframe, so I went into the Stratford pop up shop hoping to speak to someone to help me out.

When I got to the store was greated with such warmness and positive vibes which instantly made me feel at ease and comfortable. As I had not seen the hair in person, I noticed straight away that the Think Silk clip was not for me so I was a little relieved that the hair hadn’t arrived lol but at the same time I was in a pickle as I needed hair for my trip.

Tatenda was so kind in trying to find out what could be done about my parcel and even called me out of her work hours to provide me an update (an agreement we both came to whilst in the shop - was pleasantly shocked when she asked if she could provide me with an update after working hours as this really showed their commitment to providing a good service especially as I was due to fly out in 4 days). Tatenda suggested I try Four Ayee hair which they didn’t have at the pop up but recommended I try Selfridges as they did have the hair available. I spent about 30 minutes in the store - the good energy from Tatenda and her colleagues, we ended up having conversations about other topics in between lool.

I left the pop store with no hair however I was happy I went over to the pop up store as it had been a while since I last received really good customer service, felt so welcomed and heard. A day later I went over to Selfridges and the service there again was on point! They had the Four ayee hair in stock however I had changed my mind on the length I wanted and they unfortunately had sold out on that length.

I went on holiday without the four ayee hair but was really positive and happy with my Ruka experience that I decided I would get the hair for my birthday. I ordered the Four Ayee clip ins in 22” and the Four Ayee ponytail in 18” last week but in seperate transactions (as I was still indecisive about whether to get the ponytail or not and as the clip ins had just come back in stock, I bought those quickly in fear of them selling out again).

The delivery time on the site stipulates it can take 7-10 business days so I was a little worried it wouldn’t make it before my birthday however I was shocked to have received the parcel 2 days later. I am still waiting for the ponytail but I am gladly waiting because the quality of the hair is just so beautiful, rhe curls are so realistic to my hair pattern - mimics how some of my curls are tight and some are a bit looser. The quality!!! The thickness, the quaallliiittyy my goodness it’s soooo good!

I am so glad I stumbled on Ruka Instagram page as I used to get clip ins from America so now Not only am I able to buy both online or pop into store if I want to but I’m able to keep my spending down (no longer have to worry about eh extortionate shipping fees and custom tax) whilst also supporting a business that caters to me and actually provides fantastic customer service!

Despite the cost of living crisis, Ruka shall be seeing more of money lol !

I highly recommend checking their range and if ever in doubt of what hair to get defo pop into their Selfridges store or if there’s a pop up store then defo make the effort to going there too!

Hi I am still waiting for a refund for the 4a curly clip ins that has been delivered with confirmation back to your warehouse and using the return label provided.

I would like to be refunded as promised as I gave spent a lot of money but have received no responses after numerous emails. Please help

I love my new Think Kink pony tail! Everyone thinks it’s my hair cause the texture match is so accurate. It’s hassle free and simple to put on and I’ve been eyeing the ponytails for a while so this purchase was so worth it. I can’t wait to add more Ruka products to my collection!

I recently purchased a full lace wig and ponytail. I love the texture and the quality of the hair. It looks so beautiful when styled and I always receive a lot of compliments.
I went to the sample sale and the assistant who helped me was so helpful, really bubbly and made it a great shopping experience. I truly believe in this brand.

These are the best clip ins ever so versatile , I can blow dry them out and have an Afro then wet them and get them back to curly , I can have a twist out .. it’s so natural even my own family can’t tell the difference

I got this for my mom because she has type 3 hair and I have type 4a/b. But it worked out better for my type 4 hair type, especially because it gets frizzy like my natural hair does. Everyone tells me it looks really nice and real on me. Definitely going to buy a looser texture for my mom.

First time ordering from Ruka Hair and the experience has been fantastic.

I ordered two ponytails…Pressed in 20” and Think Silk in 18”.

I am very impressed with the quality of the hair and the construction of the ponytails themselves. I have used them and gotten compliments on my hair every single time.

As a brand, Ruka has brilliant customer service and care! I've made multiple purchases online and in-person (at pop-ups) and have never had a problem. The team are so helpful, and very knowledgeable about the various hair products and go above and beyond to help you! I recently purchased wigs in person and forgot to pick up some straps (completely my fault!), but once I got in touch, they kindly sent me one they had available which was so kind! They're a brand I trust completely!

As a mum of a teenage curly girl, life can be frustratingly hard when it comes to shopping for quality products for her. She pointed me in the direction of Ruka and here we are today, building a nice little collection of products! We’ve always been super happy with the quality and the service is 10/10. Will absolutely continue to purchase and so happy to see a brand of its kind which *finally* serves our needs break through!

I had purchased a ponytail from Ruka a while back and unfortunately had some issues with some of the tracks showing through when worn. I got in touch and Nneka had a look through the photos of the ponytail and kindly offered an exchange, even though the time for an exchange or refund had lapsed by months. I had heard good things about the Ruka customer service, which is what encouraged me to get in touch to query the fault. I was pleased to have been treated well and definitely feel even more encouraged to continue supporting this particular black owned business.

I left it quite a while to leave this review but cut a long story short I bought a ponytail back in early summer and then more recently got some bundles that I’ve had installed in a sew in twice now so I think I’ve allowed for enough time to make a fair judgement.

Is this the silkiest hair in the world? No. Nor do I personally think it is trying to be. Does curly and kinky hair shedd and take more maintenance? Yes.
Two things to bear in mind but anyways.

What I like is that Ruka seem to want to give us working black women essential and accessible options for our regular hair in its regular state that haven’t existed for us before in this way.

If you’re relaxed but transitioning like me go for Spring Fling or Corks Crew for your curly ponytails, and Press’d/Think Silk if you want something straight to blend with your fresh sewin. You also don’t need anymore than 2bundles for your sew ins because the hair that THICK. And the blend with my hair is just chefs kiss!

As a black woman I want Ruka to win and it’s nice to see and feel they are dedicated to women like me.

I love the concept of this company. I NEED the concept of this company. The hair styles and textures are a god send. The first time EVER I’ve not needed to relax my hair and felt comfortable using extensions similar to my hair.

I’ve bought hair from around the world and know that it’s a complete gamble. I think they are still figuring out which companies are rogue.

That being said when the hair comes it’s amazing. Constant compliments it feels wonderful and looks it too.

But unfortunately it isn’t lasting and is matting.

I know they have sent some batches back.

I for one won’t be giving up though and will keep trying because of what Ruka hair are doing for black women is amazing.
