Sold car to me on finance without saying
Went to appointment car wouldnt start so went back all ok but no V5 was told as car was still taxed by previous owner I could use car till I got my V5.
But worst of all they never told me car was listed as on finance.
I've complained many times and since found out it's illegal to drive car under previous owners car tax.
They gave me £25 for my cost of applying for V5 even though they said they had informed dvla and I get one which I never.
Then they said as for car being on finance they would send £60 never been sent.
Have been asked to remove my rating to receive this which I did.
Just want to make others aware of how they sell cars very dissatisfied

Great experience at Saxtons!
Car was clean and well presented. Business manager, Brett Roberts, was polite and helpful. He gave me a good price for my part exchange vehicle which I was happy with. Handover was speedy, efficient and quite painless really. Had a minor issue with the roller shelf in the boot so I returned with the car the next day and Brett sorted it out straight away. The car I bought (2018 BMW x3) is fantastic but only time will tell! Looking for a car for my wife now so Saxtons will be my first port of call! I thoroughly recommend.

Collected my new Defender today from Saxtons and had the fortune to have completed the process through Tom..
From my first visit, including two separate test drives ,Tom was friendly, professional and warm without the usual hard sell I’ve experienced before at other dealers.
I can honestly say Tom’s no hassle approach actually helped me make my decision as it was quite an expensive purchase for me, so as you’d imagine I was quite nervous and a little in two minds, so Tom not pushing give me time to make sure I was happy with the purchase and content. I’ve only had the car a couple of hours but fingers crossed and Tom told me to get in touch if I had any issues.

Recently bought a car from saxtons
Recently bought a car from saxtons, when we picked it up we noticed a damaged key pad panel which is made of glass.
The salesman took pictures and said he would get it fixed but after serval weeks and several messages to them we have had no response.
It looks like they have just forgotten about us.
They seemed nice and professional when we bought the car but it seems once they have your money they don’t really care.
Certainly wouldn’t use them again

Car buying in the city
I travelled to Saxtons in Chelmsford to discuss a part exchange deal for my car. I was booked in for 12.00 and met one of their young salesman who was very busy but very friendly and polite. He was happy with the condition of my car and we agreed a price on the part exchange. It was so busy that I felt the deal was a bit rushed and a decision had to be made quickly. It was there's the car do you want it. No looking around the car to see how it worked as it was all new to me being a hybrid etc. I agreed to the sale and then I paid the balance. It took a while but eventually it was sorted.
I have now had time to check the car and I'm very happy with it. I'd like to thank all at Saxton's although I will say it was all much to busy for me as I'd driven 200 miles from Mid Wales that morning and had to make a quick decision. Thanks

Extremely disappointing experience with Saxton 4x4.
Within four days of collecting my 2021 Mercedes GLE, the charging flap stopped working, meaning unable to charge the vehicle for the past three weeks. These are serious issues that clearly existed at or shortly after the point of sale. They then asked me to contact their warranty company Autodirect to take up the defect rectification.
I was made to wait almost three weeks for an appointment. I was then instructed to use a VAT-registered garage and assured the repairs would be covered. After following their instructions and submitting the invoice, management are now refusing to pay.
This is completely unacceptable. The vehicle is less than 30 days from purchase and under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 the dealer is responsible for faults present at the time of sale.
Communication has been inconsistent and unprofessional throughout. Based on my experience, I would strongly urge others to think carefully before buying from Saxton 4x4. After-sales support has been very bad with no professional support.
