Driver fell asleep and insisted I pay cash
Although the taxi driver was on time that was the only positive. He wasn't the warmest of characters but it was very early in the morning. He went way too fast over speed bumps. The car wasn't modern enough to take it and we all felt every bump. To the point where I had to say slow down and he said sorry. I had a kid in the car. Then he says he wants cash. I said no I've got a card. He said no card - cash please. I said I'm going to the airport I don't have time I want to pay by card. He insisted again so I felt I had no choice. Single mother here. Felt very awkward leaving my child although he's 15 he's still a child in his car for me to get some cash out for the driver. Got on our way and then I noticed his head was down but I could see the phone was in its car holder. My son was in the back with me. I asked him to check what he was doing and he said he was asleep. We were at a standstill heading into T2. And I noticed because there was a large gap in-between our car and the car in front. We had to wake him up.
Worst taxi experience of my life and I'm shocked this guy has a job. Totally unprofessional.
Untrustworthy with useless App, No taxi shambles
If I could give minus stars I would,
Absolute shambles, ordered a minibus for 8 with 24hours notice via the app. ( something I’ve done several times!)
Checked back through the day of collection and the app still said car will arrive at 6pm.
6.07 when no car has turned up, I check back on the app to find they have cancelled my pre booked ride.
With NO attempt of even trying to contact me.
You have all my details, you obviously knew you couldn’t fulfil the booking, so why not give me a heads up or call and ask if I wanted 2 taxis instead.
An absolute joke & as a result of your no communication and No minibus, I will be deleting the App & will Never use your company again.

Well this is very different from my last review! The driver arrived on time to take us to a gp appointment, when we arrived I gave him the fare in Bee Network travel vouchers that we use all the time. He took them, looked at them said I want cash and threw them at me, I told him to phone the office and he was very aggressive and told me to F Off I got out of the cab put them through the window and told him to do the same. He then proceeded to follow us to the surgery door sounding his horn, absolutely disgusting behaviour from someone who is interacting with the public.

A really bad experience. Not recommended.
Firstly, taxi failed to turn up at airport. When driver did eventually show, he goes to wrong pick up place.He had to pay to get out of the multi-storey car park but he claims his card doesn’t work so I had to pay to get us out of the car park. Amount I paid deducted from fare.
Thirdly, the driver then informs me that he needs cash payment only. Why??? What’s the problem here? Not the first time this has happened. Eventually he takes me to cash dispenser and I withdraw the money I need only to be charged 0.95p by the card machine.
A thoroughly bad experience.

Taxi driver was 20 mins late and I had to a flight to catch so I ordered an uber. They both turned up at the same time and the driver started screaming at me calling me a b**ch because I wouldn't pay him for his time. Why would I pay him for being 20 mins late and making me late to airport? Its not my problem they can't organise themselves.

Twice I missed doctors appointments because of this company. Both times I pre booked but the taxis were 30 min late. They wasted my time and precious NHS appointments. Used to be a very good and reliable company but now the service is appalling. The contact centre staff hang up when called and they are liars. Don’t use this company, you’re going to miss your appointments, trains, flights, etc.

Appalling! Booked a pickup for 5am this morning for the airport via the app . Checked this morning 5 mins before it was due and was notified it had been cancelled . Rang the office and he said the driver phoned you but you weren’t there I told him twice I had no missed call but he ignored me . I added it wasn’t even 5am so why didn’t he wait. I asked for another driver which came 10 mins later and drove like a lunatic all way to the airport . Talk about clinging on for dear life . Avoid avoid avoid !!

A totally unreliable Company
If I could I would have left no stars. My wife booked a taxi on Sunday for today at 1pm to go to an important appointment at Manchester Eye Hospital giving them 48 hours notice. When the taxi didn’t turn up she telephoned the office to be told they had been very busy and they would see if they could find a car. As she couldn’t afford to wait any longer I finished up having to make the return journey so making a pre-arranged booking seems to count for nothing as they acknowledge that she did have a reservation when she phoned them. Totally unreliable Company which seems to be reflected in the many reviews I have subsequently read. Don’t use them if you want to arrive anywhere on time

This is the fourth time that we have booked a Taxi booked for 3am and had problems so want to tell people about the poor service. Checked they knew where we lived. No show, we called 4 times we were told cab on way husband went to check on the main road behind us. Taxi waiting in totally wrong place. We were told we could pay by card but taxi driver would only take money so we had to stop at an ATM. We were 30 minutes late leaving. Not a good start to our holiday.
We will Never use Scott’s again and will not recommend to anyone. Terrible service

Booked a taxi from the hotel to the airport, at time of calling it was stressed that I would be paying by card. When the driver arrived he said cash only, wouldn't take me unless I paid cash or in his words 'transfered money into his account" I refused and he told me to ring for nother cab.second car sent also wanted cash, I said I told the office I was paying by card...said OK but then on the way pulled into a garage ATM said for me to get cash....the ATM wouldn't accept my as soon as we drove away he pulled to the side of the road and insisted I pay by card in advance. I tapped but couldn't see the amount clearly..when at the airport he refused to give me a receipt (this was a work expense paid on the work credit card i need a reciept) and said call the office. I don't know Manchester I don't have friends in Manchester. This experience was horrible I was afraid I was going to be dropped at the side of the road with no idea where I was. As a woman on her own this behaviour by the driver was intimidating and made me very uncomfortable.

Terrible treatment of loyal client
Used Scott’s cars for five years, always prompt and great text comms prior to arrival.
Recently booked airport run and had to phone when late. Was told taxi was on way and would be with me within 10 minutes. Phoned back after further 20 minutes (30 minutes late) to be told no taxi available.
No apology, not interested, find another way to get to the airport, hope you don’t miss your flight!
Will never use again, terrible treatment for a loyal and regular user for both business and private runs to airport.
Will use Uber in future!

So my friend ordered a taxi to Manchester airport 2am 12/4 (early Tues morning). She had placed the order 7pm on 11/4. thankfully she is super organised and ordered it for 4 hours before the flight. 2.15am - no taxi. We telephoned they said they would be there in 10 Mins. 2.25am - no taxi. We telephoned and without any apology, interest or concern, we were told they were short of drivers and they would be there when they could. You can imagine the stress. We ended up paying £140 for a last minute place to park in the long stay car park and drive ourselves there at 3am. No other taxi available this time of night from other firms. We will never be using Scotts again and will be sharing our experience as widely as possible.

Do not use this company. Had to ring on five occasions and by the time the taxi arrived 45 minutes late my (ex) girlfriend had left the bar. Promised it was on way time and time again. Disgraceful
