Do not use this company. Had to ring on five occasions and by the time the taxi arrived 45 minutes late my (ex) girlfriend had left the bar. Promised it was on way time and time again. Disgraceful

Booked a cab to get to the airport a few weeks back. Clearly mentioned the number of passengers and luggage. Was quoted £19.50 (we live 6 minutes away exactly). More expensive than Uber or even a black cab but decided to book as felt more reliable. When we arrived at the airport we were told the price is £30!! We didn’t want to argue as we have young kids and it was freezing, however £30 for a 6 minute journey is daylight robbery!!!

Be aware if you want to pay for your journey on a card even though you have told the operator…All drivers want CASH make excuses that their card reader isn’t working, or I will take you to the ATM, and the latest one my card reader won’t work in certain area’s !!
Yesterday a driver dropped me off at my work place and surprise surprise no card payment could be accepted, he then wanted to drive me to an ATM I had no time to do so as I was due on a 12 hour shift nursing end of life patients.
I stated that I would call the office and make a card payment however, he didn’t want me to do that WTH.
He continued to bombard me all day with texts stating that I need to bank transfer the journey payment to his personal account, er Nooo way.
I’ve since spoken on two occasions with the office not only to pay but to raise my concerns. Was only trying to support local businesses but never again..

On the 15th February 22 I booked a taxi, with this company, to arrive at my property at 6.30am on the 16th February 22. I needed to get to an important work appointment, from Stretford to Ashley. On the morning of the 16th Feb at 6.30am, no taxi! To cut a long story short, after phone calls to Scot's taxi, the taxi arrived 20 minutes late which then made me late for my work appointment. This is just not acceptable as I did everything to make sure that I arrived on time by booking the taxi the night before. There was no real apology from the driver as they said they knew nothing about it. It was a total nightmare, you expect a taxi company to be reliable and they are not. If you want reliability, don't use this company. I will never use them again and advise friends not to use them either.

Prebooked pick up at 0730 from Timperley and was lovely polite on time driver mohammed.........also Prebooked return at 1115 from heaton Moor tennis club but 1125 called them and surprise surprise no taxis available!!!!!! It was Prebooked why why are u so unreliable for elderly couple????? They said try uber 🙄🙄🙄🙄 we try to support local I dependant companies but hey why do we try????? So so so let down tariq and your colleagues...... Never never never use u again 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

I've just moved to Sale but have always had family in the area. I've always used Scott's taxis in the past so decided to use them last weekend as they were always reliable. I was very disappointed that this is no longer the case. I called around midday and requested a minibus for that evening to arrive at 7.30pm. I was going to the theatre so it was essential I was in time (luckily I had booked for an hour before the show). At 7.30 there was no taxi & when I rang the operator stated that it would be another 20mins despite the fact I had pre-booked. When the driver eventually arrived it turned out he had been given an address 2 streets away. Fortunately he rang me and I gave the correct address, however it wasn't the requested minibus so I then had to order an uber to ensure the whole party could travel into Manchester. It was a total disaster and the poor driver took the flack although it wasn't his fault. I believe that scotts have been bought by Streetcars but whatever the case may be, I won't be using either in the future.

I wish I had read the reviews before using this firm. Booked a taxi in advance. Taxi didn't turn, called them several times and they advised it was on its way. 75 mins later still not showed up so had to walk home. Never again. Rude horrible staff.

Four minutes before pickup we received a call saying our minibus taking us to the pantomime wasn't available. Absolute disgusting service and they didn't even offer two taxis

I've used Scotts for several years and been very happy.
Last six months the service is appaling.
I use taxis for important trips eg airport, rail station, care home visits etc and I need a reliable service.
You will NOT get it from Scotts.
Booked taxis don't turn up, they claim "we phoned you but you didn't answer", you wern't there etc.
Worringly they use, possibly unlcensed, drivers from other areas and this is a safety and insurance risk.
Don't waste your time with Scotts

I'll make this very simple. You can't tell a customer there's a flat rate and then charge them nearly 40% more. Straight up dishonest. Find a different company who won't be duplicitous to you.

Normally 15-20 minutes late on the early morning airport run. Booked a taxi for 4.45. This time shows up at 4.30. And we get a phone call about same time to tell us there’s a an extra charge for the airport. Not told when we booked the night before. Just dropped on you when you have no other option that you have to pay £30 for ten minute ride to airport instead of £20. Because? It’s the airport.

They are a joke. Can't explain how bad and unreliable is the service. After an hour waiting outside I have been informed that taxi couldn't find me twice. I ordered the taxi at 6.20 to arrive at 7.20 the same day it's 8.40 and taxi no where to be seen.

Absolute Rubbish!!! Ordered a cab for my sister and mum. Told 8 minutes. 15 minutes later no cab. Rang and told 2 minutes. 10 minutes later no cab. Rang again told another 10 minutes. Said he would pass me to his supervisor. They then hung up. They were are a good reliable company but now a disgrace with rude staff!!!

Scott's taxis Sale have banned people from writing reviews elsewhere but it's possible here. Over the past few months we've ordered several taxis from this unprofessional company. Every single time we've been let down. When you call to enquire where they are the operators are rude and dismissive. They really don't care about their customers. It used to be a great, reliable service. Whoever's taken over has destroyed all that. I've been late for work and social events. Avoid this shocking company like the plague.

Pre-booked for a 04:00am airport journey, they did not show, called the office and was told it was 5 minutes way and was sent cab tracking, 15 minutes late no Cab , called office again and was told driver had gone home and they would dispatch another cab but it would be 20 minutes, it was now 04:40 and I had to be at the airport, I told him to forget it , Joker!

Wont use these again, avoid if you have a deadline to meet!

Unfortunately after receiving good service from this company, the last couple of times I have called up them and they realised it was a short fare they said they couldn't do it or hung up. Shameful more than happy to take my short fare during lock downs.

Pre booked a day before for a cab, supposedly didn’t even send me details for me to contact the driver or number plate etc , after half hour of waiting with no response and them telling me ‘5 mins’ I had to cancel. Wont be using again

Bull s**t. They say you can pay by card but every driver bullsh**ts and demands cash. Asked if a tiny dog is allowed which we have had in a bag we get out the taxi and they charge an extra £3 for a dog. Will never use this taxi firm again.

Prebooked driver arrived 30 minutes early, wouldn't wait 10 minutes so drove off and can't get a replacement.
