Lack of response

Dear Sir/Madam,

I have called every line today to see status of order as after I paid I see you are no longer in office from the 5th of this month.
Please can you advise of your position as I am getting worried that you are no longer trading?

As you mentioned yourself we were no longer "in office" from the 5th of November, as stated boldly across the website and our social media pages, SDS was closed for the 2nd UK Lockdown which meant we could not be in work to answer any phone calls or emails etc. this was following Government Guidance for none essential stores.

We spoke to you on Facebook to answer your query regarding our position, which you responded to on the 17th of November.

Advertised item not made

I ordered an undersuit on 14 October which hadn't arrived after 2 days although I had paid for next day delivery. Phoned and talked with a lady who advised they didn't have my requested size in stock but would order one in. Was also told they had sent email to this effect but was never received, nor the order confirmation email. Phone again 27 October for an update. The lady said she would contact the supplier and get back to me with an expected delivery date. She never did. Sent an email asking for an update but received no reply. I then contacted the supplier and was told the suit I ordered was not made in the size I requested even though SDS advertise it. So I contacted SDS again on 3rd November and changed my order to the next size up. Which was sent out that day and should have arrived next day. It arrived the day after. This last issue was obviously not down to SDS but added to the frustration of the whole sorry saga.

Not great

Don’t normally leave reviews but just letting first time buyers know you will be waiting weeks and weeks for items and unless you communicate with them first they won’t be in touch to let you know what’s going on, finally received item after waiting over 12 weeks.

We can only apologise on not keeping you informed but we can only pass on information when it is given to us by the suppliers themselves.
Sadly this time round it took longer than we would have liked due to suppliers sending the wrong fins, we did let you know at the time about this situation.
As a gesture of goodwill we did return your postage to you.
We hope you give us an opportunity in the future to show that we do not make a habit of long delays!!

Good service.

Good service and they kept me informed all of the way as I had to return the wetsuit due to it being to small for me. Would of given 5 star, however I had to pay the return postage on the original wetsuit. Not sure if this was stated in their returns policy or not.

Goods that are faulty or do not fit can be returned to SDS Watersports Ltd at 66-70 Station Road, Halfway, Sheffield, S20 3GW.
All returns should be made within 10 days of receipt of the goods. The cost of returning the goods shall be paid by the customer.

Order took a couple of weeks to be delivered and there were no me from the about there being a delay and no replies to my enquiries asking when it would be delivered

Normally good, not this time

Ordered a 232/300 bar adapter, it never arrived, impossible to get hold of anyone to sort it out.
It's been a month now and still no reply from them.

We would just like to resolve a few things.
An email was sent to you after your order was placed with us to let you know that we didn’t have the stock in at the time but it would be ordered in for you, since that email from us we have had no correspondence from you.

It has been 12 working days since your order was placed, your item has been sent out to you and you should receive it shortly.

No postage was paid on your order, however as a gesture of goodwill for the delays caused, we waivered this charge and sent you the goods.

Very poor

Ordered an item. They took my money even though it turns out it was not in stock. Waited a month for it to be restocked and when it came it was the wrong thing. Communications with this company were genuinely dreadful with many emails going unanswered and when I finally did get responses I was given various (dubious) reasons why they had been unable to reply. Won’t be ordering anything from these people again, the customer service is just non-existent.

Brilliant Company & Staff

I have used SDS a few times. This time, there were problems through no fault of SDS. Madi went above and beyond in order to solve the problems, get the right size of wetsuit in time for a trip. Full marks, a great service and even came in lower cost than I expected.

I Wouldn’t use again I Ordered £200…

I Wouldn’t use again I Ordered £200 worth of dive gear never received my delivery After 7 days so I called them To see where my order was to be told there waiting for stock to arrive and that It will be another 5 days so I called them 12 days after I made my order to be told it will be another week for 2 more items so I cancelled them 2 items and ordered from elsewhere

Bought wetsuit in July

Bought wetsuit in July after 2 emails (not been replied to) and finally a call in September was told the item had arrived but in the wrong size. I took said item anyway and it does actually fit so worked out well. Put this down to the pandemic. The suit arrived the next day and very pleased with it.
