We carefully chose our mattress at John Lewis. Thought about it and ordered it with a Sealy base too. Not the cheapest but very comfortable. Extremely happy a month in. No reason to believe it won’t last 🙏🎉🥳

I was looking for a "Firm" mattress to support my body and keep me in position such that I wake up in the morning without aches and pains and in particularly, upper body problems. This particular mattress works really good for me, but it is firm as clearly stated and may not suit everyone. So do your homework and if you do buy this particular mattress, you will not be disappointed.

My husband has a very bad back and finds the bed very comfortable. So comfortable he doesn't want to get out of bed. It is the only place where he finds his pain dissipates.

Great retail outlet for the mattress & base, well informed staff & a pleasure to purchase from Living Homes in Weston-super-mare. Extremely comfortable mattress & a good nights sleep.

I used my mattress for 2 years because I wanted to give it a genuine review. (The purchase selection date on this review doesn't allow me to choose further back than a year so that's why I selected 2024.) I'm a 5ft 4" female, weighing 75kg. My husband is 5ft 5" weighing 90kg (weight matters in mattress reviews so you have a rough idea as to what weight it will take)
I bought a king sized "Sealy posturepedic EXTRA FIRM with reinforced edges" mattress in October 2023 from mattress online thinking it's going to be firm. It came with a 5 year guarantee which convinced me that it'd be good but that guarantee means nothing as Sealy's don't accept returns if even a teensy weensy amount of stain gets on it, regardless of the fact that it goes 100% against the claim they make of firmness. It's a clever trick which means they will never accept a return (no matter how many mattress protectors are used as sweat passes through them and stains over 2 years.) The description said it was the very firmest they had. Although I've recently seen one named "Franklin firm" but based on my experience I would not buy it at all. When the product came, it was very soft to the touch, when we sat on it it went down to the end like a plush sofa would. My husband told me it was not going to fill the criteria of "regular" firm, let alone "extra" firm but I stubbornly disagreed with him using all the jargon terms Sealy provided for the mattress to back my claim. Fast forward to today, I need to buy another firm mattress as it didn't last at all. Some companies firm mattresses at least give you a couple of years or so before they give in but Sealy's came in the condition of being an average soft bed regardless of their claim. The reinforced edges means nothing if the middle sinks in, and we're not even obese people. For an average weighing couple it was a total failure. After doing research and going in to multiple bed selling stores, I realised that if anyone needs a firm mattress, something that resembles sleeping on the floor but the comfort of a bed, then the mattress you need to look up is called "reflex foam" mattress. It's very nice and hard.

We bought the Sealy Ortho extra firm mattress. However, despite rotating the mattress as instructed we find that the mattress "dips" quite quickly resulting in discomfort in my lower back. We have had Sealy mattresses in the past and did not find any problem like this. We only bought a new mattress because our old one was 12 years old and not as firm as it was originally.

Wonderfully comfortable mattress, really supportive. Our daughter is sleeping much better on her new bed and doesn’t want to get out of bed in the mornings which is most unusual as she is normally an early riser.
Double mattress is light enough to rotate by myself but would be improved if it had handles to help with this.

I was having trouble finding a firm mattress but once I got this one I was very happy.

Given my role as a Sealy sleep ambassador 10 years ago, which involved testing Sealy products and writing reviews, I was fully aware of the quality of the product that I was buying.
I chose a top of the range mattress because given the length of time we spent on the last one, 31,000 hours over a 10 year period it is obvious only the best is good enough.
My wife and I are delighted with the build quality, finish and comfort.
My advice to anyone thinking of purchasing a Sealy product is to ring their customer helpline, “yes they are happy to speak directly with their customers,” and ask for advice , I say this because technology moves quickly and Sealy are not slow in seizing every opportunity to innovate.
You will be purchasing a top quality product from a top quality company.
Sleep tight.

Good comfortable bed especially with hip problems, took week or so to get used to it but now great

The mattress is firm and supportive. The edges are robust making getting out of bed easy. Our new mattress is allowing us to sleep well and awake with fewer aches and pains.
