I purchased my first ever Sebo hoover…
I purchased my first ever Sebo hoover on Friday, put it together everything great but the light ( headlamp) was faulty. Amazon sent me another one out today (Sunday).
Now this one has a problem too, the warning light for a worn out brush ( brand new btw) comes on after 10 secs of hoovering on a laminate floor. It’s ok on carpet though. I expected more from Sebo !!!
An update on the service from Sebo today. The girl I dealt with was called Ribena, she was extremely helpful in solving the situation and in rectifying the problem.
Very happy with the advise given.

Sebo Airbelt E3 Premium by name but not by performance…
Having had our Sebo Airbelt E3 Premium for over a year we have come to the conclusion that it is a big disappointment and far below what we expected from a premium brand. We went for this model because it was one of the few cylinder cleaners with the option of a powered brush head. This was necessary because we have two hairy dogs and the normal turbo brush options on other cleaners are just not man enough. My wife and I are both getting on in years and find that it is quite awkward to use. The hose is too short, very stiff and unyielding making it unwieldy to manipulate when trying to manoeuvre around furniture and into corners. The powered head although effective for carpets is very heavy, which tends to discourage its use. We have since bought a G Tech Airram for the carpets and find that it picks up dogs hair more effectively but is far lighter and easier to use. it We thought that being bagged it would reduce the work and mess when emptying but the system is poorly designed. The space is too small making it difficult to align the bag correctly so that it fills properly. This means that the indicator shows the bag as full when it is only half filled. Also the bags are expensive! Although it is very quiet, this seems to come at the expense of pickup power because on normal power it is very disappointing and so we have to run it continually on the boost setting; even on full boost our old Henry outguns it quite noticeably. Overall it was a VERY expensive mistake.

Airbelt K1 not good on carpet
This review relates solely to my experience with the Sebo Airbelt K1 ePower vacuum cleaner.
It's fine on hard floors, nice and light to handle, the filter system is excellent. The biggest disappointment has been with using it on carpet, it's absolutely hopeless. I ended up buying a different brand of vacuum in an upright model.

Wonderful products, wonderful service! Called Babs at customer service this morning, bank card in hand to buy a replacement for my 25 year old X1. She immediately identified the problem as my not replacing the roller head recently (ever??), and is sending the relevant part. Result is a bill for <10% of what I was expecting. Can’t praise the company highly enough

Service, advice and product knowledge
My Sebo X4 began playing up recently. It was as if I was switching it off and on every few seconds, not good. So I contacted Sebo, I picked up a new handle assembly, fitted it - same problem. Anyway I then took the machine to Sebo for inspection, they rang me the next day explaining exactly what the problems were - and emailed me the fault list. (Long list). Basically my well used 19 year old X4 was not worth repairing, and the extremely helpful lady in the service department (Robena) was a star! She was SO helpful and polite. And SO knowledgeable about their products. All my queries she answered in detail. I bought an ex demo machine from her and she kindly refunded me the price I paid for the handle assembly. I can’t recommend Sebo enough both for their products and customer service.

Sebo Airbelt E1 Excel - turbo brush design fault
Bought a Sebo Airbelt E1 Excel, after our Miele died, was very happy to begin with. Main unit fine - however, the turbo brush no longer sucking up dust etc. Cleaned rotary brush as best I could, to no benefit. Obviously something wrong within the brush box - but unlike Miele unable to gain access inside!!! Looked online, typically build up of hair etc around spindle. But built in obsolence meant to buy a replacement unit at £69 (cheapest price). Then found YouTube video explaining it was a usual fault and how to access and repair the problem without having to purchase another unit. Presenter also said that this sort of inaccessibility issue was untypical for Sebo. Anyway followed the video, hair indeed around interior spindle - obvious design fault - so at least should make turbo brush units accessible to rectify without having to resort to buying a new unit.

Made to feel like a liar
Having used sebo hoovers for over 20 years, my wife decided to purchase another. She bought a sebo felix. After a few weeks we were experiencing issues. We done all the trouble shooting etc, and still the machine wasn't right. We called the helpline about this and they asked us to send it back for further inspection. After a short period of time they told us that one of the motors was "water damaged". They also said this would not be repaired under the warranty as we had allowed water into the motor. They sent pictures of a very rusty looking motor with drops of water around it.
I called them up and explained that we did not hoover up water, not even by accident as we are aware of the consequences plus the fact we have been using sebo machines for many years. They refused to fix under the warranty and charged us £69 to receive the machine back!
I then contacted a local repair company for a second opinion. Their finding were that the motor had been in a poor state of repair for a long period of time, and the rust build up would have taken a lot longer than the time we owned the machine for to happen. I contacted sebo in Germany and explained the situation. They backed up sebo uk and refused to budge. They made us feel like we were lying to them and said we must have let water into the motor. One of the women from sebo UK asked if we had hoovered our front door mat as the machine is so sensitive that would be enough to cause damage. When I explained my door mats were rubber and did not hoover them she said even wet feet on a carpet could cause damage. I explained that my hall and kitchen, where we have our external doors, is laminate flooring she again made me feel like a liar saying we must have hoovered up water. They were no interested in the second opinion that we had obtained and brushed us off with a "tough luck" attitude.
We paid to get the hoover fixed locally. We feel let down by a seemingly reputable company and will not purchase another sebo again. They had no interest in dealing with a problem from an individual family who have used their product for a lengthy period. They only appear to interested in the corporate side of the business that makes them more money. Very disappointed and dissatisfied.

First class item and superb customer service
I have recently purchased the Sebo airbelt E specifically to vacuum long cat fur from a carpet. Nothing else has been up to the job. This is a brilliant bit of kit, well worth the money and has many well thought out features. There is a video of it on YouTube which is worth a look. The salesperson to whom I directed my initial enquiry could not have been more helpful. She responded within an hour to my initial email and then gave me detailed advice tailored to my specific requirements. I am a very happy customer.

Excellent Customer Service
I decided to be a smart Alec "against my husband's wishes" and took my Sebo apart to clean it inside and out. Covid lockdown made me the Queen of Zoflora! Anyway....I couldn't get it back together. One phone call to "Super Gail" at Sebo customer service and I was up and running within 2 minutes. Absolutely adore Sebo products. Amazing company. So much better than Dyson's over priced rubbish! As for the husband "Girl Power 1 - Men Jobs 0". Cheers Gail....you are a star!

My young 20 plus year SEBO X1 upright…
My young 20 plus year SEBO X1 upright cleaner caught new carpet fluff in the suction pipe resulting in the red bag light to come on with no dust being collected. The nozzle, however was operating well and there was good suction. So, I rang the SEBO Help Desk and an angel came to my rescue. She guided my husband to firstly open the roller head, then dismantle the long handle part from the body. Thereafter, clean away the trapped fluff from the suction pipe. Finally, there was magic in her gentle support and kindness in her instructions that instilled confidence in us to tackle this task. Thankfully, the trusted SEBO survived the recycle Council Dump. Hopefully, many more years of service from our SEBO lie ahead. I want to thank the good lady for her help

Absolutely first class cleaner.
Having had my faithful Sebo X4 automatic for the past 14 years and with no problems whatsoever, I decided on purchasing a new Sebo Felix which promptly arrived today direct from Sebo.
I was very impressed again with the telephone service received from Sebo regarding delivery which was next day.
Upon opening the packaging, I could see straight away the build quality of the machine was superb and found using it very easy gliding around the rooms with excellent suction.
The only gripe if you can call it, was the fact that it didn’t come with an extension tube for the hose but simply overcame this by purchasing one direct
from Sebo.
I’m sure this cleaner will again give me years of trouble free performance. I have also passed on my previous X4 cleaner to my daughter who is also very impressed with its suction and build quality. She stated that when it finally gives up, wouldn’t hesitate in purchasing a new Sebo.

Best vacuum ever
Best vacuum ever. I’ve had Lots of other well known makes of vacuums in the past (paid a lot of money too and they’ve been utterly useless) but I’d never have anything now other than Sebo.
Treat yourself as you won’t be disappointed. The only thing I’d say is they’re slightly heavy but they’re outstanding in performance and I’m a fuss pot.

Sebo felix well build solid and powerful
Purchased Sebo Felix I have been looking for a new vacuum for a while I had a Henry but fed up of using a cylinder that although powerful it didn’t pick up like an upright, I owned a dyson a few years back and wasn’t impressed. I had been looking at the shark my MIL has one and she loves it. But reading reviews left me sceptical how it would bare up with a large family and constant use. Then I came across a sebo I’ll admit never heard of this company before but reviews are all positive one even stating theirs was still going 15 years later. Researched further by going on YouTube what sold to me was a guy sprinkling sand placing a rug on top then vacuuming over the rug then lifting it comparing with another leading model this sold it to me as I was looking for something as powerful as my current vacuum.
It arrived 2 days ago and I’m so impressed. It has reduced my cleaning by half. It’s heavy but that’s what I like it feels solid well built and made to last. I can’t believe I almost dismissed buying as it looked flimsy far from it!

SEBO service department rescues Christmas
Our SEBO X4 vacuum cleaner's power cable became detached yesterday (23rd December) with my family due to arrive for Christmas on the 24th. Tried to fix it but made a mess and dashed off to John Lewis to see what could be done. Met Emanuel who advised me to visit the SEBO service point the following morning. Cleaner was fixed and renewed within half an hour. Brilliant service. Brilliant people. Great machine.

Customer Service to the rescue.
I am so grateful to the Customer Service department who really helped me today.
I purchased a new Sebo about 6 weeks ago as my old one had finally stopped working properly. I had been very pleased with it but then in the last few days the red light kept coming on. I checked the tubes but could not find anything so was a bit baffled and was becoming quite frustrated that this had happened so soon.
I posted a message to Sebo and within an hour a really helpful lady called me, I checked the tubes for her again but then she reminded me about removing the main body and checking the tubes in the base and there was a small plastic lid stuck in the "corner"!
This was so good and a great relief. I was so grateful.

You need to do something about the electrical cord
Had a SEBO Automatic now for about 18 months, no complaints about the fact that it does what it says, it sucks up dirt ! My BIG gripe is that damn cord....for a really professional product the cord is continually twisted, you can't stop it, it's so bad that now the blue & brown wires are showing, so I have to tape it up. I feel the product is really let down by one of the most important things, the "cheap cord" used.

Excellent customer service
We have had a Sebo X4 pet upright vacuum for about 4 years. We took it back to High Wycombe twice for repairs. On the second occasion we took it back it had to have another software upgrade Gail the customer service manager asked us if we would like to wait while the tech people carried out the updates and replaced the PCB and brush roller and guards. In all it took about
30 mins, Gail was excellent and she kept us informed all the time. A pleasure to meet and talk with her.

Very professional company.
An elderly neighbour, a long standing Sebo customer, asked me to help with arranging a repair to her Vacuum which was close to the end of the warranty period. Without any fuss Sebo arranged for collection and it was returned repaired a few days later. Very professional company and guaranteed my neighbour will replace with another in due course.
