In addition, I was provided with all the essential information. The service I received was above adequate, demonstrate diligent work.

I was contacted by a John Deane after he had seen my CV on an online recruitment site. I was looking for a part-time role in care. John phoned a few weeks later to ask if I was interested in a 25-hour contract with one of the Greater Manchester councils and explained that the shifts were 5 x 5 hours a week. I informed him that I required my working week to be over three days’ so I wasn’t interested. A couple of weeks later John rang again saying that the vacancy remained with the council in question, I reiterated that I wasn’t interested due to the aforementioned but was told that they would be ‘flexible for the right candidate’ and that the remuneration was also ‘negotiable’. On this basis, I agreed to an interview which began with that recruiter saying that she would like to start by running through the rota as it was ‘set in stone’ and that there would be no point in continuing if I was unable to adhere to their work pattern which was told was 5 x 5 hour shifts per week, and also included some 10-day stretches. Additionally, being a local authority, the rate of pay was commensurate with the relevant scale and was not, therefore and never had been ‘negotiable’.
I explained what I had been told by John Deane, to which the recruiter replied that he was probably hoping that I would end up taking the job and he would benefit from a commission (or perhaps it enhanced his KPI).
John Deane is clearly dishonest, due to his blatant lies I wasted an afternoon and lost money on travelling expenses. The recruiter also had her time wasted.
Clearly, this individual has incredibly poor moral standards, and his questionable ethics served no purpose. If I were a recruiter, I certainly wouldn’t use this outfit, nor would I engage with them in any future search for employment (unsurprisingly Mr. Deane has not contacted me since-probably keen to avoid an ear bashing). Given that it’s so easy nowadays for people to leave reviews, his actions really were senseless.

Chris was excellent from start to finish. I have worked with many agents over the years and he’s by far the best I have worked with. I would highly recommend and would absolutely go to him first next time. Successful placement and outcome and great service right the way through. He couldn’t have done more!!! Thank you Chris :)
