Pre booked taxi
After 20 mins of been late I called up city taxis for the operator to tell me they don’t know when it’s coming. I asked what’s the point in booking and he just replied we are busy. Friends in the local called up and got one straight away. When after 40 minutes late it turned up I asked the driver what’s the point in booking if you don’t turn up on time. His reply we don’t bother allocating cars anymore it’s just pot luck if one is in the area ??? Used to be a great service sadly no longer

If I could leave no stars I would driver turn up ok then taken one look at a disabled person then drove off im discussed you should be ashamed

Was supposed to be picked up from Manchester Airport, picked up luggage and driver wasn’t available. Kept ringing the customer service who kept promising that driver was on his way. Driver turned up, only to demand for additional £7.50 as waiting fee! Driver was cold, not helpful at all. Last time I will be using city taxi!!!

My fiance left his phone in the back of taxi 404 last night. After ringing and speaking to the operators a number of times and them not being that helpful. The taxi driver returned it himself today fully intact. It had cards everything all there, thank you to that totally honest man

3059 mr taxi man honestly the best ever. makes me feel comfortable after a night out when i go home alone, constantly checks to make sure i’m okay and everytime he’s picked me up he’s always been so lovely.

Driver was awful and very rude - on the phone they stated it would be £60 even on New Year’s Day but when getting in the taxi they then had a go stating it would be £80 told us to pi*s off if we didn’t want to pay and then slagged us off this his mate on the phone, absolute state of a service.

This taxi service is getting worse. At one point it was a very reliable company but now its pot luck whether a taxi will come or not. I now use Uber who are a lot more reliable.

Had to use this taxi service as this is the one my work pay for and the buses are down. At least an hour late every single morning the entire week. I booked way in advance this is beyond a joke. If I had a choice, the last taxi service I would book.

Booked taxi for17:20 phoned up at 17:40 told I would be a priority 10 minutes later still no taxi. Cancelled the booking and got a black cab after waiting 2 minutes.

I pre ordered a taxi at 6 o'clock to pick me up at 9. I waited outside at 9 o'clock and no taxi had turned up. I phoned them back to see how long there was going to be. To be told my taxi was on it's way and was 2 mins away. So I walked to the top of my road (there is only one way on to my road so there is no way I could have missed that taxi) there was another city taxi waiting there so I asked if it was my taxi. He said no he was waiting for someone else. But said that a taxi had been to my road and turned around and left. I phone back up for them to say he couldnt find it and went. I explained what the taxi driver had said to me and that I want a taxi asap I had somewhere to be. He then told me that no taxis was available and put me though to this other person which told me that taxi was waiting outside my house from 9 o'clock. No he wasnt at all. I didnt end up getting a taxi cos they wouldn't send another one out. There nothing but unreliable liers. Would never use them again. If I didnt have to put any stars I wouldn't. Lieing to your customers is disgusting and not provisional at all.

Ordered a cab for 1.00pm, taxi never turned up despite 2 phone calls to Sheffield City Cab, who each time said they were trying to assign s driver. At 1.30pm app still said assigning a driver. At this point I cancelled it and missed my appt. Will never use them again. Much better if they had let me know before 1pm that they had no available drivers.

DO NOT USE CITY TAXI! I ordered A taxi, tracked it for it to say it was in its way, checked again and it said it had arrived and journey cancelled, I was stood outside so I wouldn’t miss it, called the office, not helpful, told me it had arrived and I wasn’t there, do I want to book another one, NO!!!!

They used to be so reliable but they’ve just stopped turning up, even if you pre-book hours in advance. I understand that they’re short of drivers but they shouldn’t accept pre-bookings if they know they can’t honour them. We’ve been stranded more than once so will be using Uber in future.

It doesn't matter if you pre book taxis they never turn up. 45+ minutes late.
Cannot rely on them. I used to think they were good but now the worst.

I booked a taxi for ASAP. After 15 mins rang for an ETA - no ETA - might have taken a very long time, no way to tell whether 10 mins or 99. Easy to cancel, so 3 stars, but what has happened to what used to be a very good, reliable service in Sheffield?

Terrible service. Booked a taxi in advanced in order to get to a function at a certain time. The taxi turned up 30 minutes late, which made us late. When we chased with the operator, he said they were very busy and he could not say what time a taxi would be available, totally ignoring the fat that we had pre-booked a slot. What is the point of being able to pre-book a time, when there is absolutely no intention of meeting the booking.

Used be good but now never turn ur left waiting and if you u use app you wait 45min and don’t get a taxi

Gone from being good to completely unreliable to the point I won’t use them again . 2 recent occasions where an advance booking has been made and then unable to locate a driver . How you can accept a booking without allocating a driver is beyond me. You’ve left me stranded once too often.
Very very poor service with no accountability.
Not worth any stars, would mark negative if I could .
Shocking beyond belief !

If i could give no stars i would!! Rang and booked a taxi was told 30 mins wait. After 1 hour called them back to say no booking had been made using my phone and that a taxi will be with me shortly. After waiting another hour still nothing. Ended up booking an uber nearly 2 and a half hours late to a party for my little one who ended up falling asleep. My mins had run out and I heard nothing from them . God forbid I was on my own somewhere and relying on that taxi. Absolutely disgusting and the people on the phone couldn't care less. Avoid this company as I surely will from now.
