First purchase didn't fit pefectly, so I contacted the customer service. Based on a few pictures of how the shirt fitted, they made a new one (costless) that fitted perfect! Very happy with the quality, service and price. Will order more!

Great service. Great quality and a well organized process.

I have been ordering from Shirtbyhand since 2016. The recent order of shirts didn't fit too well, and the Shirtbyhand team was really responsive and responded immediately to my concerns. After re-measuring and sending the shirts back, I received them today, and they are the best fitting shirts I have had. Thanks to Jonathan and his team for such a lovely pre-Christmas surprise and keep on delivering such great shirts!

Not as many options as there used to be in terms of personalization. Quality of shirt material doesn’t seem amazing either. I though there used to be a premium material option?

I contacted Jonathan Farley at Shirt By Hand about my shirt not fitting well. He asked me to email in some photos, which I did, but he subsequently never responded. Also did not pick up when I tried calling, on two separate occasions. I’ve waited nearly two months now with no contact. Not sure what’s going on, but this has not been a good experience and they do not seem to want to rectify the problem if the shirt does not turn out well. Maybe they do menswear fine, but I would avoid them for women’s shirts.

Edited to update: Mr Farley emailed me about this review shortly after it was posted, saying he was keen to sort this out. I responded to let him know I’m keen to work with him on improving the fit, but since then I haven’t heard back from him again. Really not sure what it would take to get resolution on this; the shirts are not cheap and empty promises are not cool.

I have been getting custom shirts from ShirtByHand for well over a year. As a woman who dresses more 'masculine' than feminine and prefers tailoring, it's been a great way to get the shirts I want that fit me properly so that I can wear ties & bowties etc whilst also having a shirt that fits correctly everywhere. I love that I can very easily make small changes to my measurements by email. I recently got one of their linen shirts are it's fantastic for warm weather, but not too many places have them. Some of my earliest shirts do seem to have a stitching issue in the buttonholes but none of my recent ones do so I think they may have improved that. The price is reasonable and delivery is very fast (within 3 weeks for a custom shirt). I would possible like a few more cloth options but I'm being picky!

Would definitely recommend.
