2 of the metal joins at the base of the shower (fixing the glass) have rusted which suggests poor soldering (plumber said that happens when it's not cleaned off properly) and the seals around the curved shower are not watertight. We often end up with pools of water on the shower floor (it is not a wet room) if the shower head is directed at the doors.

Despite promises to look into it, I see from other reviews that the poor customer service continues. Good luck if you find everything is working well for you.

Take my advice and don't do business here, because if you are not happy you are lumbered with paying for returning the items. So that's £50 for delivery, then at least that again if you need to return your order. You can buy just as cheaply elsewhere with a better customer service.

I purchased a shower quadrant bundle and thought long and hard about buying it as it was such a bargain. The reason is because postage costs £50 which you find out at checkout and then you feel commited so you go ahead. To add insult to injury, it was suggested that a leg riser and skirting pack was required at a bargain price of £35 (down from £95). This is completely untrue as I did not require it and also you can get them cheaper elsewhere.

At first Katie advised that they would not give me a refund, which is not in accordance with their "easy returns policy". After advising that I would refer them to my credit card company and Trading Standards, they have agreed to a refund after I return the goods. However this will cost me £20 to return the items which were not packaged, so I will need to find a way of wrapping up a 1200 x 800m piece of plastic and returning it with a bag of parts.

This is now with my credit card company and they are trying to see how they can help me.

Thank you for your response. I accept that ordering the wrong thing can mean additional postage, but that's one of the things I'm trying to warn others to consider (I see you've had this problem before). However, it is the poor customer service and attitude which is the main problem. To me the website was misleading as it suggested to me that I needed the skirting kit, but that is my expensive mistake.

Although initially being told I couldn't return it was incorrect, it was the attitude I received, which was basically being told "tough". My credit card company told me to wrap it up well and return it and I decided it would be worth it to get it off my hands and at least receive a net £15 refund. Having not been packaged as it had arrived on a pallet meant this was not easy. I packaged it very well with bubble wrap, thick brown paper and plenty of thick tape, but somehow one end completely snapped off.

I had insured it through Royal Mail, but after a claim form was completed by your staff, my claim was turned down. Luckily I had taken photos of every stage of packaging, including "fragile, do not bend" and my claim was met after I appealed. I do not know how the end snapped off with all that bubble wrap and other packaging around it and when I asked for the item to be retained for inspection by Royal Mail, I was told it had all totally been disposed. This was within hours of me being advised it had been "returned damaged and there will be nay refund" to me requesting inspection. Totally unsatisfactory.

Thanks for your response and confirming you are looking into this. I think the key is good customer service and none of this would have arisen if I had received a reasonable and polite response. The end result was that I paid to return the item for a refund (albiet a bendy piece of plastic fully wrapped in bubble wrap, was sinisterly damaged when you received it) and this could have been done without all the issues.

I wouldn't do business with you again, nor could I recommend you.

I ordered a very reasonably priced shower screen from this company and had some trouble with the courier company that tried to deliver my shower screen. The problem was we hadn't moved into the new address that the courier company was trying to deliver to and we kept missing each other, I wrote an email to shower enclosures direct to complain about the lack of communication from their courier company and from that moment on somebody called Katie from sales took it as a personal challenge to make sure my screen got safely to me!
The dedication and determination she showed was second to none and the shower screen is perfect!

I ordered a shower screen in place of one from a different company that I wasn't happy with. It was delivered next working day, despite it being during the Christmas parcel rush. It's now fitted and looks great, the quality is really good and the price unbeatable. Highly recommemended.

Good quality shower screen and on time delivery.

The cost of the shower screen was considerably less than those advertised in the big outlets but the quality was just as good. A swift delivery and no issues allows me to write a very positive review.

Very impressed by the quality of this unit. Looks a million dollars. First time I have fitted one. The process is not idiot proof though and you need to do a bit of research before hand. The instructions are not extensive and the diagrams not easy to follow. Delivery company used were very good and contacted us the day before delivery to co-ordinate delivery timing. Overall excellent value for money.

We purchased an Aqua Spa Deluxe Shower Screen and the product was better than we expected for the price we paid, excellent value for money. Everything was so easy from the ordering to the delivery and the fitting, we did have to phone to ask a question with regards to the fitting and someone in the technical team phoned us back within minutes to advise.

We wouldn't think twice about using Shower Enclosures Direct again if needed as all went so very well and their Customer Service is excellent.

I am really pleased with my purchase from ShowerEnclosureDirect. I brought 2 traymate walk in shower enclosures. They are of top quality and I found them to be the cheapest compared to other distributors.
I wanted slightly different combination of glass width for end panels than their standard package and the customer service team was helpful in getting me the combination I wanted.

The real test of customer service comes during a crisis situation. The day before the delivery, we got the keys to the new house. Our bathroom fitter had taken the measurements previously but on the day we realised that the item we ordered is too big for one of the bathrooms.

Customer service team was very helpful in swapping the tray sizes at the last minute and I had to pay only the delivery charge for swapping the item. New item arrived the next day and they also collected the previous item at the same time.

Almost 3 weeks later when my second bathroom was being fitted, the builder noticed one of the wall post missing. Another last minute crisis but the efficient customer service worked with the manufacturer to identify the missing item. This was a mistake from the manufacturer but once it was identified, the item arrived next day.

Overall great experience with the company and I would strongly recommend them to my friends and family for top quality products at very competitive price and excellent customer support.

Purchased Aquaspa shower enclosure and tray which are of good quality.

Had query regarding fitting and matter dealt with via email very quickly - shame my plumber hadn't read the instructions!.

My only reservation was that products were delivered without prior notification and van driver was happy to leave them outside on the drive.

All seems good.

The shower screen we ordered was of good quality, to our spec. and very competitive.
My only negative comment would be that we were not aware of the delivery date or time of delivery and as a consequence we were not in when delivered. This caused a delay of 24 hours before final delivery.

The only reason I haven't given 5 stars is because there was no contact with regard to delivery times. As these are large items I would have thought there would have been a delivery date and time. It was pure luck that I was in when the two separate deliveries came. With regard to the items ordered, the plumber who fitted them said they were some of the best quality he has put together! Well done SED I will be recommending to friends (just tidy up your delivery info!)

This shower door is typical of Chinese made junk. The holes for assembling the frame are "out" so that the top and bottom frame members sit flush with the verticals at one side bit not the other. The screws are neither philips nor pozidrive heads and are of a soft metal, enduring that when you are trying to assemble the frame, the heads get stripped easily.
At the end of the day, the shower door WILL work, but I am disappointed that it will not look like a true quality item.
