The best bike company in England! Very professional service with bunch of nice people. They were always happy to advise, even during late nights or Christmas! I put off writing this review for a while, as I don't like leaving 1 star reviews.

Originally Enquired in January about getting a bike on the 'CycleScheme' that was advertised on the Single-Speed website. After registering my company with CycleScheme, I was told that Single-Speed are not registered with them as advertised; I discovered this after two weeks.

I was then requested to set up an account with 'Cycle2Work', and once more, had to wait a couple of weeks to have this setup. Now set up with Cycle2Work, contact completely dropped off. Now taking 4 weeks to get nearly nowhere, I called them, many, many times with no-one picking up the company line.

I would however received emails from the company owner at irregular hours in the middle of the night, telling me conflicting information to that, that I had gained from the cycle scheme itself.

Moving on - 6 weeks later, roughly 60 emails and 45 ignored calls, I now have my bike.

This review doesn't even touch the tip of the iceberg with how disappointed I am with Single-Speeds service and their complete lack of ability to know how to deal with a clearly disappointed customer.

I wouldn't recommend this company to Satan himself.

sadly the break leaver that was included in the box with my bike was the wrong one. Single Speed acted swiftly and got it sorted as quickly as they could and were always prompt when replying to messages on Messenger.

This mishap was completely not their fault so on the whole a great service.

Slightly disappointed as bike come in the box with a crooked pedal crank and a front wheel slightly out of true. While customer support was always very reactive, i was being told that my usage was in question.

Hi that's handy to not being able to respond to your response. Here we go again. As said to you, bike pedals were already mounted and the wheel shouldn't be out of true on first usage. Judt to be clear it was the bike i had to go to to get the crank replaced (aNd pay an extra £10) who told me that was a manufacturing issue. Not admitting your good was damaged simply make things worse. Not acceptable. Again. Revising my original 3 star rating down to 1. And this time, it is all on you.

I purchased a Quella from Single Speed on the Bike2Work Scheme.
The service I received (from Evija) could not be faulted and the bike arrived very promptly.
I would highly recommend using Single Speed Co. to anyone.

Cannot stress how amazingly helpful these guys are. Speedy replies, plenty of information, order tracking over Facebook. Definitely use this website you will not regret it!

The site made it easy for me to find what I wanted.

The shipping was a lot faster than expected and I love the product!

The only thing that could have been better would be some tracking on the shipment, with quite a large delivery it would have been good to make sure I was available.

Edit: I'm not sure if this will be seen by the folk at single speed but replies to reviews pushes it up to a 5*.

The team at Single Speed Co. we're so GOOD that I believe they have taught me a thing in customer service. Here's a list of how so...

1. Owner of the company personally e-mailed me to thank me for my purchase the following day.

2. I mistakenly bought the wrong sized bike, and SS Co. were so helpful in me returning and exchanging for the correct size.

3. Regularly responded to messages and kept me up to date.

4. Continuously helpful.

Firstly, its a great looking bike.

The courier used for delivery is pretty useless, poor communications and you just get a text on the day saying it'll be delivered, no advanced warning. For "health & safety" reasons they only do a 'kerbside' drop, so my girlfriend had to plead him to help carry in the box inside. My advice - get it delivered to your local bike shop, to qualify for warranty it has to be professionally built anyway.

The tyres look lethal, no tread/ grip at all so they came off immediately.

In summary - its a great looking bike, but when you add in the build costs plus decent tyres the cost is over £400, so may as well buy something in the UK that does not need to be shipped from Europe. If its looks you are after, go for this, if not buy local.

Having chosen a bike/purchase a bike a month and a half before Christmas. I got an email back saying they were out of stock until mid January. Just after Christmas, I got another email, saying due to a manufacturing problem they weren’t available until mid February, offering an alternative. I choose another wanting the bike asap, getting a promise it would be delivered mid January. I enquired mid Jan, reply was, it will be ready in a few days, it’s a priority. A few days later another email, sorry your purchase went out to someone else, they’re out of stock now! Yet some more alternatives offered! Poor service!!!
