Slow. Ended up taking too much time.
The process to accept credit card payments was too slow and time consuming. I wanted to be a sbb customer but they weren't quite efficient enough with my time.
I love Small Business Bank!
I love Small Business Bank! I live many states away and it is easy to bank with them. The only thing I wish would improve is how the bank connects to Quickbooks online - it is a little tedious. However overall - as far as the mobile app, remote deposit, transferring funds and customer service - this bank is top notch!!
Great bank for small business
Simple to do business with. Easy to contact. Friendly and responsive. Don't charge for every little thing you need to do.
Just add documentation
I am very happy with my micro business checking account at SBB. It was easy to set up and offers cell phone deposit, free paper checks, a debit card and more. I think the $5/month fee is fair... I didn't shop around exhaustively for a "better" deal. The telephone support is good. I'm not overwhelmed by the online banking website, or by the account terms documentation. In my opinion it can be confusing, incomplete, or even slightly contradictory (from one document to another.)
Could be improved but fees are low
I am glad to see a Quickbooks download for transactions. Mobile banking is sometimes quirky; I type in the correct user and p/w and then sometimes I get security questions that I never set up. There is no way out at that point so I just have to exit and wait for it to reset.
Also I am not able to do an ach withdrawal to my personal account for payroll.
On the plus side, the fees are only $.99 per month and I can make mobile deposits on my phone.
I can't believe you don't do international transactions
I have had a mostly positive experience with Small Business Bank. Some issues with transaction amounts, some issues with wire transfer charges, generally average performance from a bank. However a few months ago I was told that it was simply impossible for any international transactions to be made with my account. I was never told about this in the application process and I still cannot find any mention of this restriction anywhere on the website.
In 2017 many of my prospective vendors and customers are located outside the United States. I was able to solve the issue by applying for a business credit card (through a different provider, Small Business Bank provides no credit card for businesses as far as I know). Small Business Bank provided no assistance or potential solutions. For this reason alone I cannot give more than a 3 star rating for the bank.
I like the mobile deposit
I like having the mobile deposit, but your account is more difficult to view and gather information.

I'm very happy that I chose Small Business Bank. I get the best service without the high fees - I am a one-person business, so I'm not transferring a lot of money around. I need a bank that gives personal service and support and digital banking. I highly recommend SBB.

I'm overall very happy with the customer service and mobile banking. I really wish I could view canceled check images, though, both for checks I've written and those I've deposited.
Only game in town
I am not thrilled with SBB but after searching a long time for an online bank for my business, they seem to be the only ones. The application process was too complicated and took too long in my opinion. I feel like I can't trust their bookeeping completely, and it feels kind of like a mom and pop. For example, I did a mobile deposit and scanned 2 checks - I only got credited for one. Unless I had followed up myself they never would have picked it up. It's not dishonesty, but their systems are not as strong as most any other bank I've worked with. That said, I am sticking with them. I like the fact that it's all online, and their billpay is decent.
Good not great.
Continue to make it easier for businesses to do business with you. Start accepting money orders! Lower rates for same day vendor payments. Easier set up for recurring payments to individuals.
Good customer service
Had to call in because I went through drive thru banking the day before and made a cash deposit. Teller deposited into someone else's account. I would of used the ATM but it was in bad repair and screen so scratched up I found not see the screen. Recommend since they closed all the branches near me the least they could do it update/replace old ATM at the only branch location they still have.
Too many limitations
I have been very frustrated working with this bank, from wire transfer limitations, how long it takes to send e-checks, and now debit card limits. Very frustrating.
Great Idea Could Have Better Delivery
Overall it was one of the best options out there. So I do recommend it. I love the concept of having a full online banking solution for businesses.
They need a good amount of TLC on both their online website and mobile app. UX/UI needs improvement to keep up with the modern up-to-date crowd.
Besides that the signup process was a little troublesome. There has to be a more efficient way.

FIX QUICK BOOKS
You can not upload to Quick Books from there website which is hard on business owners. Also you can only withdraw $500 per day from an ATM. You also have to mail in certain checks instead of direct deposit.
