Interesting little company
I used smarter insulation to install foam in my loft to help with the rise in bills, this goal had been achieved and I can't complain about the improvement, but there are many factors which need to be considered first.
I met Adam who was very professional and approachable, he came round and surveyed the roof and loft space showing me mouldy bits of tile, signs of animal activity which was enough for me to decide to fix the issue specially now with the cost energy. Adam after don't negotiation was able to lower the price and agreed to the job next-day, and as such came round and cleared the attic. This was the first mistake, Adam and his colleagues cleared it to a level they felt could work, the contractor doing the job didn't, it also left stuff up there, some of this got really badly damaged including a coffee table. My advice would be to either pay for them to clear out or clear the entire loft space of everything, the foam goes everywhere and nothing is safe.
On the day of the job as I've said the contractor didn't think the space was clear and the rotten boards hadn't been removed, so greener CW who do the work refused to do the job. Eventually after threats of cancellation and long calls it was agreed that greener CW would remove these boards and put new membrane on the roof and a clean up team would come and collect the mess. Good customer service.
Greener CW did the job with no issue and left the mess as was expected. I left this and contacted smarter insulation to pay and arrange clean up and was told they'd be out when they were there later in the week. This did not happen, I started clearing out they loft of fibre glass, rotten boards and still no clean up, I have since finished and removed the mess myself, poor customer service not following through on agreed deal. I'm also still waiting on a certificate of warranty.
Overall I'm happy with the job itself, annoyed with the customer service element and the fact I had to do much more work than was planned, that belongings have been damaged and I'm waiting to get a warranty still.

Pleasant company to deal with.
From visit by Dillon to ment who installed insulation very pleasant experience. We live in an old Victorian house and it gets cold upstairs even in summer. In just a few days we have noticed a difference and hope it continues in the winter. Everyone involved was very pleasant and the two men who carried out the job cleaned up when they were finished. Nice to deal with people like that.

Representative Grant came round Monday evening to conduct an initial loft survey
Very thorough inspection led to him finding a few different issues.
The preferred option was spray foam insulation, which after doing some research the last couple days, we decided to go ahead with.
Cannot fault the company from start to finish. The fitters were extremely pleasant and i cant speak highly enough about how clean and efficient they were on the day.
Will definitely be recommending!

Brilliant service and good product
Brilliant service and good product. House was lacking in insulation so we decided to get this company in to do our loft and the difference has been amazing! Guys were late arriving to do installation but they did phone to let us know - aside from that was excellent from start to finish and we would be happy to recommend this company.

Scam!! Hard to contact
Salesman turned up not at arranged time so had kids running about while trying to listen to what he had to say. Felt salesman was scaremongering us in to making a decision on the spot saying that we wouldn’t get this deal again and needed deposit to secure the price. We agreed at the time & paid a big deposit. Also he managed to fit us in next again day for work to start. Once he was gone we had a chance to think & talk it over & decided not to go a head. Next day contacted salesman to cancel job. No reply from his mobile or from the office despite leaving numerous messages. Also emailed, no reply. No workmen turned up so job was cancelled well within 14 day contract time. I have not received my deposit back & this is going on 3 weeks now. I finally got reply from email to say all refunds were being processed that week & manager would call. No deposit & no phone call.
This is totally unacceptable that I am having to chase them up for my money to be refunded, this should have been refunded as soon as I cancelled & no correspondence from them at all.
I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Loft insulation
I recently had my loft insulation carried out by this company. From start to finish the service was professional, friendly and tidy. The surveyor who came out showed me exactly what issues I had and I never felt pressured at any point. As a result of having this work done, my home is generally warmer throughout and I have noticed a vast reduction in my energy usage. The damp issues in the loft have also vanished, which actually was my main concern. I would highly recommend the company based on my experience.

Now paperwork completed
The final work was carried out on 14/02/22. There had been problems on12/02/22 as machine brokedown. The men came back on Sunday again machine problems so they returned on Monday when work was completed. Monday when I paid the final installment and was assured that I would receive the invoice & certificate along with shopping vouchers. I have tried calling left messages & e mailed no one has got back to me. I have today been contacted by the company and all outstanding paperwork has now been received. There was not a problem with the work completed only the paperwork was lacking. I am changing my rating from 1 to 4 stars.

A bad experience…
The sales person used scaremongering tactics to persuade me to buy - being single and elderly a prime victim!! Agreed installation date for few weeks hence. Never heard so tried phoning repeatedly but calls diverted and "mail box" full. Tried to email address on invoice but message returned as "unknown". Day of installation came and no one appeared - again tried phoning and emailing but to no avail. Thought this was a "scam" so contacted Royal bank of Scotland to report this. Next evening at 9 30 pm someone called to say they would come out later that week to do installation. The men did arrive and did spray insulate the loft (unsure how well this was done). Company phoned that afternoon for payment and after I expressed the stress this had caused said they would give me a £50 voucher. I waited two weeks for this but did not arrive - have phoned twice and promised this was in the post but still no joy!! doubt if I will ever see this. I also await a certificate and guarantee. I really feel very disillusioned with this company and doubt its credibility. Sadly I cannot recommend this company to anyone.

This was a very efficient process
The professional who arrived to do the initial survey was very pleasant and convinced us of the state of the timbers in the loft by showing photos, videos of moisture content data in our loft, so that there was no doubt that the work had to be done.
The workmen arrived punctually and explained the whole foam injection process. All floor protection was put in place and there was no mess.
Both my wife and I are delighted with the work done by Smarter Insulations, the efficiency and professionalism of the installation team and the resultant heat retention. We have no hesitation in recommending this work.
