Bad methods

Agents are extremely pushy and they ofter contact on multiple channels (email, phone, text, WhatsApp) which I find extremely annoying and unnecessary.

Snap.HR didn't help much with my job…

Snap.HR didn't help much with my job search. It was more trouble than it was worth.
Upon initially signing up, the staff at Snap.HR were very reluctant to post my profile, despite me having my own contractor company and offering services comparable to mid-level market research and consultancy roles. I had to call them and point out that I was applying for a specific role on their platform which suited my background.
The only other contact I had from Snap.HR was them calling to ask if a company (which interviewed me later) had contacted me through the platform or not, in order for them to police the use of their platform by employers.

Not at all useful to me so I have given…

Not at all useful to me so I have given up using snap.hr entirely. It is focused only on junior dev jobs, which for an experienced/more senior person like me is just a total waste of time. The staff are helpful and pleasant, but verbose and in the 8-9 months that I was a member I had at least 10x as much (pointless) mail from them as from potential employers. Employers in turn do not deliver what they promise - lots of talk but little action. Overall - a good idea, but zero use in practice.

rather meh.

I have signed up, but couldn't just import my LinkedIn profile. Once a member of snap.hr staff helped me by reproducing my LinkedIn profile on snap.hr, I started getting an awful amount of noise from them - constant reminders via email and even SMS. Telling the person about that I'm not happy with the level of noise, they didn't show any sympathy. There are many platform out there, all of those fight for candidate's attention, but I see too few unique features or unique job ads all around.

Not many companies

I was only matched with one company within a month. During my interview there were major red flags with the company.

The future of job matching

Great platform for software development jobs! Customizing your profile is very easy and the job opportunities are definitely more relevant than what you'd get through LinkedIn or other recruiters.

Lots of opportunities for mid-level devs, still got a job as a junior

I signed up for Snap.hr at the beginning of my search as my bootcamp had a promotion with them, and Neel called to approve my profile soon, so I could begin looking.

It was quite obvious from the jobs available and the experiences of others from my bootcamp that I had at best the bare minimum of experience necessary to be approved (200+ jobs going, never more than 5 or 6 Junior level), so not much came my way. However, people from the bootcamp with ~2 years of experience have received several offers from companies on Snap.hr before.

That said, one company offered me an interview based on my profile alone, and I got the job! Once I accepted the offer I just had to inform Snap.hr, and that was the extent of my involvement, no fees or anything.

If I'm looking for a mid-level job or above in the future, this is where I'll start, as I can just set up a profile and wait to be contacted, or actively apply. If you're happy to use jobsites in your search, you might as well sign-up and see what happens.

Not bad, not great

You can set your profile to Actively Looking, Open to Offers or Not Looking which is nice in terms of limiting scatter-gun approaches from recruiters like you do on linked in.
I get a couple of emails a month stating that they're recruiting for this and that company. I don't mind receiving these
In my profile I stated that most of my experience is with one programming language and I have limited experience with another.
Most of the emails I get from snap.hr are for the language I have little experience with and the same companies seem to come up again and again.

To me this suggests that snap.hr only have a small slice of the tech recruitment market. If you want to uses services like theirs, you're better off signing up to several and then you're not far away from dealing directly with recruiters anyway.

Excellent platform for tech jobs

The Snap.hr platform was excellent. I found a new tech role at a company quickly and the entire process was very smooth. The platform allows you to review opportunites and decide whether to persue them or not without the recruitment hassle. The talent management team were also great and kept in close contact throughout the whole process.

The platform is just brilliant

The platform is just brilliant! After completing my profile and set it as public, I've quickly got matched with some rather nice companies.
To add to the whole experience, I've been assigned a great talent manager to follow through the process. She was very helpful and certainly made all the difference.

I've got a really good job in a great startup, in an incredible city, in a role that fits perfectly for me.

I completely recommend Snap.hr as a way to get that dreamed new job!

Snap is a good platform for PM roles

Snap is a good platform where candidates can speak to 1-1 with recruiters for Tech roles. The only downside is I was looking for Senior Product Manager roles and all I got was Product Manager roles. Otherwise responsive and supportive to help candidates.
