very pleased with the van handover was excellent by a chap called Paul, a very knowledgable man. Stewart in sales is amazing sorts everything out for you, he couldn't be more helpful nothing was to much bother for him. thank you Stewart. we did have a small problem with admin that did cause us some stress but Stewart sorted that for us.we did have the waste water valve fail on us after one night in van but I got a brand new one for £70 on amazon which I fitted myself not worth taking van back to taunton and back would cost me more in fuel so was happy to do that. overall was happy with Somerset motorhomes smashing selection of vans enjoyed our experience.

I was waiting in reception to collect my van after some having some warranty work done. A couple said to me they used to go elsewhere to buy their vehicles but would never go anywhere else since finding this company. I totally understand their comment as I have found nothing is too much trouble for the team. And it feels like a team! Lovely atmosphere - friendly and efficient. Thank you Somerset Motorhomes.

Collected our motorhome yesterday and could not thank Simon enough for all his guidance and knowledge. He is very professional and we are both very pleased with our purchase. I am sure we will be back should we wish to upgrade! Many thanks Merv and Trish.

We purchased a 6 berth Bailey Autograph 765 from Somerset Motorhomes. We were served by Simon who was amazing,and went above and beyond what other sales men usually do. Nothing was to much trouble,not pushy. We were left alone to make our own minds up.We bounced figures around,and were left to discuss between ourselves.. A few niggly things that were all sorted by the handover. We would go back again,and highly recommend Somerset Motorhomes..

Having purchased our tourer 6 weeks ago. We have been on our first tour around Cornwall, as we were ready to head east the clutch went bang clunk and panic set it. Contacted SMC we drove an extra 100 miles to find the pin that connects the cylinder had broken . 3 hours after arriving all fixed allowing us to head to our final destination after two weeks touring for the first. A massive thank you to paul and his fab mechanic who gave Dorothy a fix. Cannot recommend Somerset motorhomes enough . Thank you .

We have not yet bought a motorhome yet, e were passing today while on holiday having been looking for a while. We found the range was excellent motorhomes to suit all budgets and a big variety of make but, sizes and layouts. We are very confident we will soon buy from this company. We found Jon so so helpful today, we got all the information we needed, took a test drive, no hard pressure selling just really helpful in making sure we get the right motorhome for us. We will be back to buy our motorhome in the very near future.

Buying process was easy and straight forward. We did need some warranty issues sorting out and the aftersales customer service which we was given was 100% and bent over backwards to help us . A special thank you to Nicky , Paul and Russell for the best customer care we have ever had.

Buckle up this is a long one.
Purchased a low mileage Motorhome August 2024 and during the sales pitch we were told they offer a free 6 months warranty which would be better than any insurance policy.
First issue was the engine cutout on the way home to Cornwall, restarted and phoned to be told as the warning light was amber to keep going and it would reset itself, if the problem persisted they would rectify this. It continued until after the 6 month warranty period, we managed to get a diagnostic carried out as the warning light stayed on long enough, fault was regarding fuel pressure and when we phone firstly they said it was outside the warranty period, then agreed to have a new fuel filter fitted, and have now refused to pay for this. We were told a full service would be carried out prior to collection, but they relied on the fact a service had supposedly just been carried out to not do this.
The condensate drain on the fridge did not work, and when I removed the external cover to gain access to the rear, the drain pipe still had the manufactures plug in it, so this had never been checked.
Both engine and leisure batteries failed fairly quickly after purchase, not covered by warranty, would only pay for one battery. The leisure battery continued to deplete quickly, and on reading the manual, the vehicle should have been supplied with two not one, something else they have not paid for.
Motorhome started to shudder over 40 mph, rear tyre out of shape, had to replace both rear tyres, not covered by warranty, offered to pay for one.
Having driven only 4000 miles in twelve months the clutch failed costing just short of £1500.00 to rectify, and the lastly the drivers door lock stuck causing the central locking system to fail, again rectified both of the last two items, and when approaching Somerset Motorhome, was told as I did not contact them, they would not consider any payment.
All the other problems, we had to drive from Cornwall to Somerset, return back and forth by train at our cost.
To add insult to injury in their last e mail were they refused any financial compensations , after I had posted letters twice with all invoices with no response until I e mailed them, they finished off with “ you go on to enjoy plenty of holidays in your Motorhome”

Downsizing and searching we were pointed towards this company as they had the vehicle we wanted, from the first phone conversation to pick up all the staff were helpful and friendly with no pressure to purchase.
On pick up the handover was instructive and pleasant, unfortunately driving home the abs light came on and i had to make a call for warranty which again was no bother and i was instructed to have repair done locally as we live 2.5 hours away, repair sorted and bill paid promptly and we are on our way again.
All the staff are efficient and friendly and i cant rate them any higher, just read the reviews.

We'd been talking about upgrading our Motorhome and looked around different Motorhome sales forecourts.
I saw a Motorhome advertised on Facebook, showed it to my husband. The following day we went to view the Motorhome, although it was a lovely vehicle it didn't quite meet our requirements.

Zac asked if he could help us, he allowed us to wander round the site and to shout when we needed his assistance. When we found the 1 that suited our needs, Zac was brilliant.
There was NO pushy sales pitch, we discussed the process of a Part Exchange. We gave Zac details of own Motorhome (Make, Model, Year of registration, mileage and condition of our Motorhome) from this Zac made us an offer against what we wanted to buy.

A date for collection was agreed.
Today, (19.11.25) we picked up our beautiful new motorhome.

Paul, at the collection depot was very polite and professional. He gave a complete and detailed handover of how everything worked.
He assured us that if we had any issues with our new motorhome not to hesitate in contacting them.
The staff at Somerset Motorhome Centre were all very polite.
We woukd 100% recommend this company.

Downsized to van conversion and from purchasing it, collecting and having some small repairs done we could not have been happier.
Always go that extra mile and nothing is too much trouble.

Yesterday, I was in trouble and panicking. I needed a part desperately and Stewart Hill at Thornfalcon gallantly came to my rescue. Added to this, he gave me the much needed part and I cannot thank him enough. Without his help, my holiday would have been ruined.

A very helpful and friendly service, the team made us feel very welcome, they explained everything thoroughly and allowed a full inspection of the vehicle. All information given and full facilities available at the site. I highly recommend going here and it was worth the trip to buy a beautiful motorhome. Our experience of part exchanging and buying a newer vehicle with The Somerset Motorhome Centre has been an extremely positive one, and we would certainly recommend them! The whole process was easy and painless. Our thanks to Zack and Rob in the sales team - particularly to Rob who had to contend with our many questions! A couple of things needed changing - at Rob's suggestion - and these were done as part of the extensive preparation package. Our thanks to all the team who handled that part, and gave us the very thorough introduction to our new vehicle (where, again, we were given all the time we needed for questions!). We had a small issue on our first drive and that was addressed very swiftly when Russell rang us back 'on the road.' We received both a letter and an email after making our purchase, which made us feel valued as customers, despite being 'at the smaller end' of the market. In summary, we were very impressed with the professionalism of everyone at SMC and feel confident we have done the right thing in purchasing from them.
And, as a PS, this morning we received a follow-up call to an email we sent just 48 hours ago detailing some issues and (further!) questions we were hoping for advice on. Simon's call put our minds at rest and further reinforced our view that SMC are an excellent company to be dealing with! We are very pleased we made that decision!

We visited Somerset motorhome centre looking for something smaller than our previous van.We were met by John one of the sales team who was extremely helpful and answered all our questions.We decided to purchase the little van and couldn’t wait to pick it up on 9 th August.The day arrived we were there early but that didn’t bother Paul he went through all the paperwork and clearly explained everything to us.We then went through the handover and again paul was extremely helpful.Nothing was to much trouble for them.We decided we wanted new back cushions made and the reversing camera altered. again no trouble Paul got the cushions sorted for us and booked the van in to get the camera sorted for us.All has now been done and we’re so grateful to Paul and the lovely staff of Somerset motorhome centre we can’t thankyou enough for all the help and advice given to us kind regards gaynor and Derek Kedward

Bought our first motorhome from these guys recently. Excellent service from start to finish. All staff helpful and respectfull. Plenty of choice and no pushy salesteam.

We purchased a motorhome from Somerset motorhome centre, after seeing it at the Southern Motorhome Show in May this year. From the sales team, to the handover, all went smoothly. Throughout the process, we received excellent service. We are delighted with our motorhome, and would not hesitate doing business with them again.

Our first motorhome, we couldn’t have found anyone better than Somerset motorhomes for our first big purchase.. We were greeted by Josh who was welcoming and listened to what was important to us. We were shown 5 motorhomes that were an exact match to our wish list, then asked if we wished to be accompanied or view on our own. We chose to view on our own and found a motorhome that we were more than interested in and requested more information.

Josh answered all our questions, gave details of the history, totally comfortable at all times, never felt pushed or being sold to, just helping us to find what was right for us. Given a price and then visited 5 other motorhome centres in Somerset and Devon but in the end made the journey back to Somerset Motorhomes. Josh and the team were amazing, came up with solutions for an upgrade to head unit/ sat nav agreed a reduced price, given a date for collection and paid deposit.

Amazing after sales support before pick up, including installation of new head unit, anti theft devices and possible tow bar problem.

On pick up Paul and Paul so helpful and informative, the handover was just what we needed as it was our first motorhome, left totally informed and comfortable driving away a sizeable purchase in terms of physical size and cost. The handover team spent time and quickly sorted out a last minute problem with the detachable tow bar. We drove to a local campsite (paid for by Somerset Motorhomes) to experience our first night and told if we encountered any problems to come back in the morning to see them … superb confidence in them to deliver on their promises.

The first time we took the motorhome away there was an issue with the Towbar electrics, from calling Laura on reception, Steve and Paul couldn’t have been more helpful.

Sorry for the long review but these guys deserve there praise, from sales to customer support to management a 100% enjoyable experience. For first time motorhome buyers these guys were a real blessing ……. Thank you Somerset Motorhomes.

We recently purchased a Auto-Trail tribute from Somerset Motorhome Centre and what a fantastic experience it was. Stuart at the sales centre was extremely helpful and professional without being pushy and we were left to look around without being pressured. We found a Super motorhome and agreed on a very fair price. When we picked it up from their collection site Paul showed us thoroughly how things worked, nothing was too much trouble for him.
I cannot recommend the Taunton Motorhome Centre highly enough. Thank you so much Stuart and Paul for making this experience such a success.

We recently purchased a motorhome from Somerset Motorhome Centre and the whole experience has been positive. Jon was very patient while we pondered for ages what to buy and were very informative. We also got to test drive the vehicle which had been a worry for us. Once we made our purchase, the service was efficient and the team continued to answer our questions via email. The handover day went well and was extremely thorough. We were given a free night at a local campsite to try out the van. On leaving for home we noticed some extreme squeaking and were supported by Stuart at the service centre to get it checked out before we drive it back to Cornwall. We hope that we don't have to use their after sales service but would like to thank the team at Somerset Motorhomes for their service so far.
