Great way to interview! The tutorial helped in the beginning to know what to expect, and I felt like I was scrambling to organize some certain parts of the questions as they were long, but all together I thought it put together a comprehensive view of a potential medical school candidate.

I found the video based questions easier than the typed responses. I wish there was more time to think about the questions.

I think the interview was great. It was very easy to provide answers verbally and it allowed us enough time to answer. I would much prefer this to many current interviews.

This was an interesting approach. I did some online interviews during this last application year, and it was stressful at first, but I think I became more confident as it went on. It was rather structured and you could feel like if you didn't answer one question well, you got a clean slate for the next one. I would prefer to see my video when I am being recorded though, I am not sure I kept the same posture throughout and would hate it if something changed that I could have easily corrected during the video interviews.

Although I would have preferred a person to person interview, this is good too. The time constraints are too strict however.

SortSmart's innovative application tool seemed fair. There was generally ample time to respond to the questions with videos, but I did feel rushed when supplying a typed response. Overall, their interview process seems to ask good interview questions that can get to the root of your personality without as much pressure as a typical one-on-one interview. The only downside is there is no feedback available from a person to either get you to explain more about a certain topic or to re-explain something that may have been confusing. I enjoyed participating in there new interview technique.

Everything has been easy going, exceeded my expectations and overall, it's motivated me to work that much harder on myself and my application!

I found the application process to medical school via des MMI not to be very fair, because you have no idea what your interviewers are looking for, with no way to prepare properly, and you are being rated on situation that you will probably never face in your life, thus not the real you. However. I found the questions with SortSmart to fit much better with the expectations of a job or scholarship interview. However, it felt very impersonal to be talking to your camera and to have no human interaction, it would've been nice if the video-recorded parts would've actually been talking to an interviewer. Another thing to improve, in my opinion, would be to give a little bit more time on questions maybe?
Nevertheless, i think it is very innovative and overall appreciated it.

SortSmart was an easy and efficient tool to use and I think this could a useful screening tool in the future. I think this provides a great alternative to standardized tests and in-person interviews. There was a great balance between text responses and video responses.

This helped to give me more practice with the interview which helped for the real thing.

I had an excellent experience with SortSmart. The staff responded politely and promptly and I had zero difficulties while using the platform. This is great because I do not want to have to worry about completing my task and then having technical difficulties with the platform that I am supposed to be using. Finally, the instructions as to how to use the platform were clear and concise.

Great experience. I believe this is a great opportunity for future reference for all students. These questions taken from the site are great questions, which I believe are questions that can prepare students for the real world; questions which can shape students for future careers or future scholarships, and etc...

Great website for standard testing or interviewing. It was easy to read and navigate (although I accidentally skipped a recorded session because I thought it would be on the next page :) ). Overall a good experience with this website.

I thought the software of SortSmart was really efficient and easy to use. The transition from each question was very smooth. I thought it was a good balance of video response and text response questions. I did run out of time for some of the questions because they encompassed a lot of elements. Overall, I had a great experience with it and think it would be an efficient way to interview applicants to get an idea of their character and experiences.

I think everything about the interview was absolutely flawless. Everything went smoothly. I did however run out of time on a few questions. While that may have been a personal fault of mine, I do believe some of the questions took a longer time to respond to than the allotted time.

I think this was a great way to participate in an interview, as there were both written and oral timed responses required, thus allowing one to practice a variety of skills. It was also easy to participate in the interview at an optimal time and not have to worry about a commute.

This seems to be a very interesting way to screen for medical school, and can definitely be a good tool in the future!

I tried my best to treat this like a medical school interview, and I found out what I was versus who I wanted to be. I believe that not only this scholarship but the opportunity to exercise interviewing skills is essential for us all. I do believe that I need work. We all do. I hope to see mock interviews in the future, and maybe the questions asked today will be asked in the future for a lot of us pre-medical students. We all just need to be honest; we need to show those interviewing us who we are and what our purpose is for the sake of the lives we hope to save one day.
