Professional and friendly staff

Professional and friendly staff, speedy service, good communication, easy access to the building in Bolton. All in all an excellent experience, delighted with the cataract surgery and positive outcome.

I had my cataract surgery completed

I had my cataract surgery completed
I now realise they have lost there funding for NHS services on the day of my operation they were doing 16 operations, it was like being in a conveyor belt , they could not find the end of pellet that was used to freeze eye
Had to get surgeon to check also , I asked surgeon what might improvement would be , told me I had a lazy eye so could not tell ( that shocked me as I had never been treated for that , checked afterwards with my optician who has seen me regularly from 2008 that I had never been treated for that . So had got me mixed up with some one else . Had a final check with my own optician who said that my eye shape had changed, hence looking for the pellet that the surgeon checked also .
Once procedure over out in 10 minutes, I asked nurse about pellet, covered over really .
My optician told me they only normally do 8 a day
But surgeon will only get paid for operations they reform.
There his definitely a 2 tiers system if you pay privately

All the staff were informative.

All the staff were informative, understanding, patient and caring. I was anxious initially but relaxed after being dealt with the staff at all stages. Even during the procedure the surgeon kept me informed although my anxiety grew. All the staff who calmed me with, what I took as informative words making me know what was happening at each and every stage of the process. I cannot thank them enough. I now have brilliant distant vision which I didn't have before the second cataract op. Thank you Spamedica.

5* from start to finish

5* from start to finish. Staff was amazing, put me at my ease. They even told me that l had been Excellent ! It was all so much easier than l had thought and my eyesight was good after a few hours but the next day was amazing. I couldn't stop looking out of the window. I can see the bedroom clock when l wake up, Now, l can't wait to have my other eye done. Would certainly recommend SpaMedica to everyone.

Excellent facility and staff

Excellent modern facility with good parking. All staff helpful and reassuring with clear explanation at each stage. The procedure was carried out by very professional practitioners in a calm and controlled way. Clear after care and follow up instructions.

SpaMedica update

I was struggling with my eye drops (Pred Forte) so I visited SpaMedica in Bolton to hopefully swap the eye drops. The visit took 2 and a half hours. Again, very professional and allowed me to fully explain my predicament. After all the examinations I received the other eyedrops (Dropodex) and found these more effective! I'm now having to take these for the next 3 weeks. Returning on the 4th June to see if all is good with the treat eye and hopefully getting a date for the right eye operation.

Poor staff

Very rude staff, poor communication skills, and inadequate facilities. Theatre staff ignored us, and discharge staff knew nothing about a few issues, repeatedly telling us to speak to the pharmacist and so on. Overall, I felt the current quality of staff and facilities has declined compared to a few years ago, when I received excellent service.

Cataracts operation

I had my cataracts procedure Thursday 14th May 26. at SpaMedica Bolton I was very impressed with all the staff.
They explained the process and the surgeon [that carried out the operation] also talked me through the procedure both before and during the operation.
I would highly recommend SpaMedica Bolton.

Highly Recommend

So far, I've only had one cataract removed, but already my life has changed! I had no idea how bad my vision was in this eye but now I can see leaves on trees, people's faces in the distance and road and shop signs with great clarity! The light is so bright! I would thoroughly recommend Spa Medica Truro. My whole experience from start to finish was excellent, efficient, professional and friendly. I cannot wait to have a second new eye!

Excellent and professional and friendly

I had my left eye done last December and it was a fantastic experience - from real blurry vision to exceptional clear eyesight within days when was healing.
I had my right eye done 4 weeks ago and just as special.
Thanks to all staff who were professional and friendly and obviously the surgery team.

Fantastic staff in all Taunton and…

Fantastic staff in all Taunton and Bristol spamedica..
The driver William. Was excellent.
He gelp with steps..seat belts.and help.home when had eye surgery .
The whole experience was fantastic

Yes I was very nervous on the first eye .

But the second eye .I was not nervous at all.

All staff looked after me.
At all times .
Polite happy ..
And made me feel calm.

I would recommend them to every one .
Thank you so much.
My eye check up is on mo day 18th May.

Then I can get glasses so I can text and read messages.

I was short distance.

I am now long distance.
Fantastic.

It didn't take long from my referral to getting an appointment at spa medica .
