I cant see the t.v unless i stand two feet in front of it.
This is my near vision lens.

Hi, we are sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues with your vision after cataract surgery.

After cataract surgery, you may still need glasses because a standard NHS monofocal intraocular lens (IOL) can only correct vision for either near or distance, not both. If you had both long- and short-sightedness before surgery, glasses are usually still required, though your prescription may change due to improved vision.

My mother attended the SpaMedica…

My mother attended the SpaMedica Blackpool hospital for her eye operation,they made her feel safe and comfortable the hole time,the service was very professional the staff are exceptional and polite,and will go above and beyond to make sure any insecurities are put to rest, transportation there and back was provided, fantastic 20/10

Cataracts op

Soon as I stepped into the building to have my second cataract operation, I was made to feel at ease by all staff who I came into contact with . The procedure went well even though it took a little bit longer. I was made to fill it ease and looked after from going in and coming out in a professional manner thank you again kind regards, Nikki

Feels like visiting old friends

My mother is a patient at SpaMedica Orton, and for the past 8 months she underwent cataract surgeries, laser treatment and injections. Every single visit was an pleasant experience
( obviously not the procedure itself), but the staff there makes it as such. After a few visits, we really felt like we were seeing old friends; starting with receptionists, optical assistants, nurses and optometrists, each of them genuinely kind and professional. Couldn’t pick a better clinic.

Excellent reception

Excellent reception, good triage following registration and good communication throughout. Staff very welcoming and engagement. Excellent communication with Consultant Opthalmologist who explained the operation procedure which was executed seamlessly and I have had a positive post operation recovery which has been symptom free. The experience and engagement with nursing staff was exceptional.

Blackpool SpaMedica

I had cataract surgery on both eyes at the Blackpool site. After the first operation I unfortunately required additional treatment and visited the site on several occasions. I could not the fault the civilian or medical staff . Who on every visit were all ultra professional and friendly. I would recommend the Blackpool site to all.

Not as good as expected at Blyth Park Nr Solihull

Sadly I have only given three stars to day based on my recent appointment. Two other appointments were far better, but today has made me cross, firstly may I say the reception were great, no problem, but from there I was taken through to the eye test area, and the visit started to spiral down. Both ladies simply appeared to do their duties in a perfunctory way, no eye contact, through out the whole encounter, no simple cursory conversation at all, not even a cheerio as going out the door. I just tried to dismiss it, they must be very bored saying the same thing over and over, so I didn’t want to blame them, nevertheless less it does not equate to the quality of service mentioned on the wall in the waiting area. So then on to the next wait for the follow up treatment. I’m not sure what to say but the wait was 45 minutes, and it was not as if anyone else was seen in either room during that time, about 40 mins in a lady did go in and out within a short time, so I thought good they must be back from lunch, but the wait time did continue, I assume during that long wait the staff were having their lunch, but why book appointments for this time if they are know people will be kept waiting.
I was so grateful to go to SpaMedica in the beginning, indeed thrilled to be referred there, but today has tarnished for me, their service. Whilst I never expect people to fawn in my direction, I do expect a simple smile, or feel that I am of value, by just eye contact, it makes the world a much better place.

I had both of my eyes done at Leeds…

I had both of my eyes done at Leeds thorpe park from entering reception to the end of the procedure each and every member of staff were polite caring and kept you informed throughout can't thank them enough would recommend to anyone

Coventry Spamedica

The staff at Coventry SpaMedica were extremely professional and caring today. My initial consultancy experience last month, proved the same as my procedure.
From arriving and checking in everything went to plan as I was informed of everything that was about to happen.
Surgery was impressive and I thoroughly recommend the company for cataract problems.

My experience was very good

My experience was very good. All members of staff were professional but friendly. I was quite nervous and they were reassuring. Natalie and Millie in particular were so kind. The procedure was quick and painless. All in all a good experience. I cannot fault the treatment at all. Keep up the good work. Thankyou.

Flawless, painless experience

From my initial referral from a high street optician for cataract treatment, to my final surgery several months later, the experience has been flawless.

Due to complications with one eye, I was referred to a specialist at the Solihull branch, which went without hitch. The follow up appointment was several months later for the other eye and conducted at the Birmingham branch.. Both surgeries were painless and completed within 15-20 minutes. The first treatment had a slightly longer recovery time and was a bit more intrusive, but no real hardship, just apparent when had the 2nd procedure which was done and dusted in about 10 minutes and vision back to normal in the next 48hours.

Would recommend 10/10 and nothing at all to concern yourself about, flicking your own arm hurts more.

Superb in every respect

Superb in every respect. First cataract surgery last year was so successful I had no hesitation in returning this year for surgery on my other eye. I was not disappointed. From initial pre-op assessment to surgery the whole team were great. They generate confidence through their friendly approach and professionalism at every stage of the process. Everything is explained clearly with plenty of opportunity to ask questions. The premises at Bolton are well laid out and clearly signed for ease of access. I could not fault the staff from reception to theatre nurses and doctor. I know some people have complained about delays in waiting for surgery appointments but the 12 week delay from pre-op to surgery imposed by the NHS in my area was explained during my pre-op appointment.
