Is it that bad?

They can just get rid of XP Boost and Target and then the website is not too bad. Unless your teacher is "satanic" and sets you an abundance of Compulsory homework.

Although, don't you miss Mr Hegarty's voice?

A word of advice.

It's alright I guess, like I don't really care. It is just that, I hate doing the bookmark checks. Like I don't know about you, but that can seriously damage your mental capabilities when you are so focused on me writing out the answer word for word. And why does the question automatically go incorrect whenever I fail a bookmark check. Like I failed the bookmark check, not the question. Use your head. Also like levels? Seriously? Maybe like give those with higher levels something cool like a free homework pass or something. That way they don't know they got scammed because they would have had to do so much independent learning to reach a level.

ABSOLUTELY HORRIFIC

Literally the worst app I've ever had to use. There's about 100 questions per homework and the help videos are crap. Plus, if you get stuck on a question you can't finish until you get it right which takes forever. If I have to do another bookwork check, I'm going to set something on fire. I've never appreciate Hegarty Maths more that I do right now. Save the students.

I enjoy SPARX MATHS

I enjoy SPARX MATHS, it helps my students a lot. I get papers thrown at me for using it, but it's okay, as long as they're learning. After all, they are just confused teenagers. ☺️
The book checks and questions are very easy, espcially when I'm teaching them factors!

Sparx maths has really helped me achieve my learning cabability

Sparx maths has really helped me achieve the highest with my learning abilities. 🙂
I am so thankful that me teacher has honoured me with the privilege of extra homework time to let my learning reach the stars.I just love the fact that I can get home from a lovely day at school with all my nice peers support and spend 3 hours doing my sparx. My mummy also loves it when she comes into my room to alert me that dinner had been cooked only to find me engrossed in a learning process within sparx. Thank you sparx for always being there for me in hard times. 😄😇

Good website but I am emotionally scarred

So I'm going to start off by saying the reviews are a bit extreme. It's not that bad of an website.

My school enrolled Sparx math to help with homework, before we would just write on worksheets, I used to sit in a small café, we were regular customers and due to our economic status we always left a huge tip. When sparx was enrolled I would be locked in my room until I did my sparx. I was in my room for about 3 hours a day, my brother much longer.

Due to the time spent not socialising my brother developed severe depression. He would stop showering and overall caring. Hestarted saying some horribly dark things, usually they were about wanting to watch the sparx creators die slowly and painfull. He also stopped talking about his social life to me.

After about 1 year of this he stopped going to school. He complained it was because of sparx. He said he wouldnt go in because the school gave him detention due to missing 1 week of sparx. He locked his room and only opened it for food, although he did stop eating after about 3 weeks.

Soon my parents began to realise something was wrong and that my brother was suffering from many mental health issues, all brought on by sparx. They called the school and they said he only had to do 50% of sparxs but even so he refused.

A year later I went in to see my brother and found he wasnt in his room. I found him in the back garden, he was unconscious after jumping out the window. He spent a week in hospital. He wouldn't say much but when he did it was all about bookwork codes. All the doctors thought he was going insane. 2 months after his suicide attempt he ran away from home. The police found him 6 weeks later, he got hit my a truck.

Sparx has really ruined my life, I think the overall website is a great idea but the mental damage is not worth it.
One of the worst parts, aside from loosing my brother is that I'm still expected to complete 100% of my homework. My parents have changed my school and my new school dosent use sparx but I cant let this happend to anyone else.

Sparx team please read this and note that this review is for informative purposes.

misleadingness

so, recently, our school makes us use sparx homeworks, its not like other comments that say its generaly crap, all im saying is that today, i saw an amount of bugs that are very misleading, the one i came across is this sorta question, "bob and eddy shares a pizza in a ratio of 9:11, please show the percentage of how much bob ate"
obviously it was 45% but what the system was unequipted was the symbol "%"(percentage) and i found that quite misleading because there's only "." in there and i thought the bot was wrong and putted a decimal (0.45), turns out, its was only the number in front of the percentage. Sparx, if you see this, please ask your programmers to be more specific

Sparx is Mental Breakdown Fuel.

Sparx Maths is the most outrageous thing to come of homework since its invention. Sparx Maths has several major problems with the way it’s programmed, such as giving you an entirely new question if you mess it up twice, which means you have to rip out all of your previous workings and start fresh. Another is the dreaded bookwork check. Everyone hates these as nobody can give a toss to write their answers down in the first place, and, as punishment for not writing it down, you have to do the question again. Overall, Sparx Maths is a horribly designed mess of an educational system, and requires some serious work, if not shutting it down completely, in order for it to work properly. Why don’t we check if they’ve written their workings down?
