Brand: Spitfire Audio

To create the greatest film scores in the world, you need to think outside the box. We teamed up with legendary composer Hans Zimmer ( Dunkirk, The Dark Knight, Interstellar), to produce this spectacular innovation: 344 players performing an unconventional range of playing techniques in Lyndhurst Hall at London's world-famous AIR Studios. With up to 26 mic positions, only technology allows you to play an ensemble this big — from thundering basslines to glass-like high strings, this is symphonic strings maximised. With the help of design and user experience agency UsTwo ( Monument Valley, DICE), Hans Zimmer Strings is presented in our award-winning dedicated plugin — developed primarily for composers, by composers. Take the dynamic of your scores to levels you’ve never imagined, with our most ambitious library yet.

Phenomenally REALISTIC sounding String Samples!

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Minimal CPU usage, which is phenomenal. Simplistic interface. Easy to scroll through the presets with an option to preview the preset. Volume output is setup for the traditional gain staging. Depending on the genre, volume can still easily be pushed without any distortion issues.

I honestly love this product and honestly, all of Spitfire products and I normally have various tracks with their products. It has a unique sound, but not so unique that it’s not versatile. It also leaves a lot of room for experimentation which I really liked. I made a new track using sounds of this one and other Spitfire products which you could find as Burn the River by Nfinite Rose on Soundcloud.

This is a so powerful tool for Music Production...it blow my mind...the quality of this Software is just incredible!

The software is easy to install and works perfectly in Logic Pro. The articulations are easy to use and the range and depth of the sounds produced is truly astonishing, I can't imagine using the stock Logic strings again!

Apart from minor issues with Native Instruments NKS control of HZS everything thing else is as it is advertised. Intuitive for use, excellent quality of samples, very friendly on CPU and RAM usage. Highly recommended

Sounds extremely high quality! Beyond what I would’ve thought computers could be able to do. The best part for me are the short strings, which sound the most realistic. I would’ve liked to have an option to only have a couple instruments than only limited to 20 cellos or more. And the interface is great, way better than using Kontakt. Overall great product.

Amazing! This library sounds incredibly realistic and the level of detail is astounding.

This is the pinnacle of string libraries. If you want big, this is it. If you want soft and subtle, this is also it. It really has everything. Because there are so many players there are sounds that are truly unique that could never be captured otherwise. I read and reread all the specs several times before purchasing but it still did not register in my head exactly how many mic positions are included (up to 26 for some instruments). This boosts the amount of possibilities to nearly endless.

Nice overall tone and excels at lush textures. Legato is a bit clunky, especially when moving through dynamic layers. A unique library for its size and weight. Probably not your bread and butter library, but a great addition.
