Brand: Spitfire Audio

To create the greatest film scores in the world, you need to think outside the box. We teamed up with legendary composer Hans Zimmer ( Dunkirk, The Dark Knight, Interstellar), to produce this spectacular innovation: 344 players performing an unconventional range of playing techniques in Lyndhurst Hall at London's world-famous AIR Studios. With up to 26 mic positions, only technology allows you to play an ensemble this big — from thundering basslines to glass-like high strings, this is symphonic strings maximised. With the help of design and user experience agency UsTwo ( Monument Valley, DICE), Hans Zimmer Strings is presented in our award-winning dedicated plugin — developed primarily for composers, by composers. Take the dynamic of your scores to levels you’ve never imagined, with our most ambitious library yet.

Heart-melting, mind-blowing epic strings for your next album.

Amazing product. High quality and so much detail. Very happy with this purchase. Thank you!

Impressive orchestra, I bought it when I heard the sound from the gallery, I got really excited. There is a multitude of particular articulations to choose from and the sound quality is amazing. The only negative is the lack of some particular short articulations, there are the classic ones. It lacks a marcato, or a spiccato and perhaps a long articulation with fast attack for powerful strikes. But overall it is a colossal orchestra with infinite tonal possibilities thanks to the use of dozens of microphones.

Still wading through what I can do with this software, overall excellent sound quality and as I made my purchased during a promotion sale even greater value. I really like this particular product because it doesn't require NI Kontakt which I'm not a keen fan of. I wish Spitfire did more products like this. I think a product or two that can be used in Spectrasonics Omnisphere 2 would be fantastic. How about it?

User interface could use more flexibility & customization options. More articulations would be welcomed.

One of the best sounding libraries I ever tried will sound even better once I learn how to work with it fully.

Awesome sound, could just be a little easier to play natural flowing chords and melodies right out the box which is what I was looking for. But I can see it won’t take long to learn.

Wonderful library with an gorgeous, cinematic sound! Huge amount of presets and articulations who makes a lot of fun to dive in and play. Only some articulations are very quite in overall volume, so you have to push the main instrument volume to the limit and the GUI needs some text description additionally to graphical signs (reverb...). Love it!

Absolute killer instrument. This library contains so much potential. The layout is gorgeous and inspiring, allowing me to be free and "feel" the music like never before. My go to instrument for epic, etherial or mysterious compositions. Don't delay, buy today.

What I think about this product is that, its simply mind-blowing! I'm looking forward to more collaboration with Mr. Zimmer, we really need his experience on libraries. Spitfire and Mr. Zimmer, great match!

It sounds great but the plugin is awful to use. If it was a replacement for Kontakt, at least it shall have the same functions. For exemple I cannot purge the samples I’m not using and I cannot have a full (however false) ensemble by loading on the same plugin the violins violas cellos and basses.

An exceptional sample library filled with layers of greatness.

Very versatile and fantastic sounding library. I don't need to look for any more string libraries with this at my disposal.

For those who think they'd rather not touch the HZ name, assuming this is a library made only for his style - I strongly suggest you get this library, simply because of how great it sounds, with the mic positions. This is a string library that would make ANY style of composer sound good. It just sounds soooo good.

Exceptional plugin and a very high quality sound. The best violins I could hear … Bravo

Some sounds in it are amazing (bartok !). But, because sadly there's a but, and I don't know how to precisely describe it : cello longs (and in fact all longs except for the Bass) sounds pretty artificial out of the box, even with modulation, vibrato, reverb, a better mic selection and all, it's difficult to get something good out of it. The CS and all FX'ed longs are very quiet so difficult to use in wide and loud pieces.

Most complete strings library ever! So real and versatile!

The strings are excelents. A great opportunity to build a music which is able to tell us a lot of things,as HZ says,a real story. But the duty of the composer(who uses the strings) is far away from being easy.I mean it is a kind of a challenge, using a tool like HZ strings. I bought the software and I am very content. It worth the price.
