Can be great for soft, long-pulls. However, the legato is an incredible disappointment. It's unfathomable that a product of this scale doesn't have anything close to realistic legato.

i doubt this needs a review, just google hans zimmer, and decide whether you're gonna be a hater or a wannabe.
It sounds big and detailed. To many sounds can be achieved with HZS. I have many string libraries and this is by far my favorite one. All those mic positions do help. I absolutely recommend this. I also would love to see new improvements to the Spitfire player in the future.
I could literarly use this library for a big chunk (if not for all) of my creative career.
HZ Strings has so many possibilities that I am blown away. All those different string sounds are just fabulous, and there are types for any kind of arrangement and music style.

Some of the articulations in the Zimmer strings are a little low in volume. I also wish there was a Kontact plugin. I don't like using the separate player. The instruments themselves are high-quality recordings and they have become my go-to for strings.

Immense, fun, and unexpected. I'm losing hours at a time just faffing about with these strings. They invite you to experiment and tinker, and reward you handsomely for your efforts.
The library is well made :the 60 cellos are huge, powerful and well detailed . The same for the other strings sections . Lots of mic positions, so that you can sculpt the sound in many ways . Some articulations sound too low, in terms of volume, rather than others. However, if you need big , and Zimmerish sounds, for orchestral, cinematic or action music ,this is the right library .
