Worst online shopping experience ever.

Sportshoes have given me my worst online shopping experience ever.

I returned two pairs of boots to them on 23 November via Hermes. After 2 weeks with no refund I chased them up. They told me "returns take 7-10 working days to reach them" but the most they allow is 14 working days!!!"

I chased again on 15 December and they advised me to wait a few more days as they were busy.

I chased again on 23 December 4 weeks after my return and they still haven't replied!!!

They've left me with no option but to contact my credit card issuer to resolve the matter.

It's completely unacceptable to hang on to customers money for 15 working days PLUS to process a refund.

Oddly enough I returned an item to another retailer the same Monday, also via Hermes, and was refunded 5 days later.

I returned two items, only one refunded

I returned two items, only one was refunded. They claim only one item was received, even though they were in the same box. I’m trying to get a refund for the other item. I am really disappointed I can’t get through to them on the phone but am persisting via email. Based upon my experience, I won’t be purchasing from them in the future.

Expensive and expensive to return.

I have bought shoes from them a few times. I never had to return these. Once my spouse needed shoes and as her size is tricky we had to order in two pairs of each. Only at the time of returning the wrong sizes, we realized this company charges for sending the shoes back!!! Costs us over 10 quids just to send them back! Never use them again. Plus the prices are higher than the discounted prices on high streets or at outlets. Never using them again!

Took more money on the credit card than…

Took more money on the credit card than they were entitled to. Delayed dispatch. A nice woman in customer service did try to deal with it, but it was clear that she had no authority and no access to the Bannister family who run this business in an aloof arrogant and frankly dishonest manner. Of course the CEO ignored my emails to him. Their behaviour has wasted a great deal of time and a small amount of money. A dreadful business to be avoided

Just a note of warning

Just a note of warning, i've just had to lash out £11 to include insurance because these guys do not pay for return postage. I'm sure it's somewhere in their small print, which I'm also sure they will point out to me before I get my refund.
My fault for not checking BEFORE i decided to use these guys for the first time.

Every experience with SportShoes has…

Every experience with SportShoes has been brilliant over the past 5 years. The one bad time where they could not supply the shoes I'd purchased they eventually came through when back in stock. My running club also gets a discount. Great shop for long distance runners who go through loads of shoes.

I've used sportshoes.com exclusively…

I've used sportshoes.com exclusively for the past two years without issue, I was always surprised to see the odd bad review, though I've now experienced their incompetence first hand...

I returned a package which included 3 items, of which only 2 were refunded.

We've been exchanging emails and phonecalls over the last 5 weeks, most of which were going over old ground.

Sportshoes.com are trying to palm off the blame to Royal Mail despite all items being in the same package and are still asking for a tracking number which was supplied 20 emails ago😂

I've lost the will and have pretty much written it off. Given the money I've spent with them in the past I won't publish how fed up I am with this experience for fear of moderation😱

Needless to say I will be going elsewhere and feel I can't recommend them to friends anymore either.... 💩

Run a mile......in the opposite direction.

Purchased some trainers. They gave me blisters. Tried to return them - they responded saying nothing was wrong with them and they were not prepared to refund so i would have to take the trainers back. Had no choice but to accept - That was 4 weeks ago and after numerous calls and emails i still DONT have the trainers OR my money back. Customer service is non existent and they rarely return calls. Luckily i live nearby the factory so will be sat outside their reception with a placard and a very large foghorn in the near future advising all of their neighbours exactly how they run their business if they don’t respond.
This business has historically had a good reputation when it was a shop and i cant imagine Bruce banister being happy about how they are currently treating their customers. Maybe they are finding times tough and stealing money from customers is their way of keeping afloat?

I placed the order on Jan 2nd and the Jacket arrived in under a week via DHL and was trackable all the way.

It was exactly as described and well packaged. I was very happy with the Service.

Top products,massive discounts, impeccable communication

Bought a Saucony running shoe for my sister, found it want half inch smaller and had to resend it to exchange it, the communication was great. the exchange was easy. I am looking to buy 10s of pairs from this company, i would say 100s but i dont run every day.top company. top communication. i would buy again.

Excellent service by these guys

Excellent service by these guys, quick delivery when I ordered my trainers originally. Recently had a fault with the trainer, they provided a free shipment label to send the trainers back to be inspected. It was proven to be a manufactures fault and a new replacement pair have been sent out in the post. Brilliant service, thank you.

I have never posted a negative review…

I have never posted a negative review before. However my experience with Sportsshoes has prompted me to waste even more time on them. I hope the £115 you have of mine goes towards customer service training and the trainers i don't have, find their way to someone more needy than myself. I have been a loyal customer for over 6 years which clearly means absolutely nothing to you. I will certainly be taking my business elsewhere.

I ordered a pair of Saucony running…

I ordered a pair of Saucony running shoes that developed a hole after three weeks. Sportshoes accepted the shoes and replaced with a pair of Adidas. It took slightly longer than I had anticipated, but that could be down to the courier returning the shoe. Overall a decent service. Thanks.

Great Service!

I have ordered items for running and walking over the past couple of years and everything has been spot on. The advice re: sizings etc of the products to the online running shoes guide and any other guide I have required. I would recommend this site to anyone looking for any item from this seasons latests to a superb sale of previous seasons items. This is certainly the site recommended by my Facebook Running Group.

Horrible service

Where do I start? They managed to send my order to wrong address, the conversion chart (from EU to UK – sports bras) which they are using is WRONG, the costs of shipment ware extra charged… and they did not even want to admit their mistakes (and yes I filled in the right address and correct EU size). The customer service is just HORRIBLE. Luckily PayPal was there to help me with my dispute. Will use never again.

Flouting the law when it comes to…

Flouting the law when it comes to refunds. Time and again I have to call to get FULL REFUND as they always deliberately forget to reimburse original shipping costs. Trading Standards should be made aware of this. Thousands of customers have probably paid for original shipping costs and the cost of returning if trainers do not fit or are faulty. (yes...you also have to pay for returns)...I will never use them again. Everything that is wrong with British business today.

Bought shoes. Order came as requested within the week. Developed a hole on the toe after about 5 weeks. Swapped the shoes no issues and new ones received

Good but check delivery costs

Ordered a pair of running trainers online - was very happy with the price as they were on sale and they are great trainers.

My only complaint is that the cost of delivery was not cheap and it was not particularly fast either.

Terrible Customer Service and You Have to Pay for Returns Too!

I have bought a couple of things from Sportshoes because they do, to be fair, offer a wide range of sports equipment in reasonable prices. However, as is expected I needed to return a couple of things or exchange, as was the case with the shoes which have turned out too small or shorts which have turned out too big. It is an internet shop, so when you buy things online, it is almost expected that you will not be able to get the size perfectly right each time. Invariably their Customer Service is terrible. They are reluctant to refund money, even when they do not have the size of your chosen item for replacement. They ask you to choose another item, which you may simply not want. All of this prolongs the process, which drags on. And you have to pay for the return, which in my case case has cost by Royal Mail 4.10 (recorded, second class). As I needed to return one item and exchange two, it has cost me almost 15 pounds.While additional 15 quid makes sportshoes prices less amenable than initially may seem, it's the dragging process, which is most annoying. Who has the time? For this reason, I'm not entirely sure, I'll use them again.
