Celebration meal ruined by Supper. And then a free delicious meal as apology

Worst service ever.
SUPPER ruined our new year’s Eve celebration meal. We pre-ordered, received a confirmation email, our credit card was debited, but the food never came and not even an email to let us know what was happening. Customer services were offline.
This is supposed to be a premium service, with expensive delivery fees and nice restaurants. But the app and the customer service are simply rubbish.
This was not the first time we had a problem with Supper. Another celebration meal was more than one hour late, but at least we were updated about the delays by the driver. No apologies from Supper. No delivery fees refund. We should have learned our lesson then.
What a difference from the service offered by cheaper competitor Deliveroo.

Supper gave us a voucher of the full value of our order and we had a very delicious meal from Casa Calavera. The service worked well, even if I still needed to call twice to get the voucher to work. Thank you Supper!
I am updating to 3 stars instead of the 1 star of the NYE disaster. But I will still be very aware of ordering on busy and special dates

First and last supper order

Thought I'd give supper a go for the first time but wish I read the reviews here first and didn't. Pre-ordered a day early a meal for 9pm from Nobu for a NYE treat. Nothing came. Could not get through to supper all night as lines were always engaged. Waited on suppers chat room for 2hrs from 9.30pm to 11.30pm with no response. No email reply either. No response to say delivery will be delayed or it will not come and no follow up. Very unprofessional and would highly discourage others from using if you want to get fed.

Horrific

I have never experienced such awful customer service in my life. Ordered a meal from Nobu days ago to be delivered last night and it never turned up! Have tried to call Supper OVER 50 TIMES and no one has answered. I’m starting to think this is a scam.
So so so bad DO NOT USE THEM! I never write reviews but this is honestly mental.

NYE meal DISASTER!!!

My husband and I ordered a NYE meal from Nobu tonight on your site. After a two hour wait on collection he came home with nothing. Very very disappointing.
If you go on @Nobuparklane you will see a lot of complaints tonight who have all done the same thing. Such a bad service by Supper and Nobu.
Not great reviews here either. I very much doubt I will be using this app again and I will not be recommending it to anyone in London.

Really poor service

Really poor service. We ordered a meal from Hakasan . The food was an hour and a half late. It was also missing half the order. We will not use this service again.

This app is a joke

This app is a joke. We ordered and received a confirmation number. The food never came. We called half an hour after we had ordered and they said oh sorry that restaurant is closed. Seems like something you might want to tell people at the order stage? Then they also charged my credit card so I have to figure out how to get the charge removed. What a disaster.

Good experience

We had our first order this evening, which was a little late, but the delivery guy texted us to let us know. I was worried that it was just an automated message but he had an iPhone so I could see he read my response and it was only a short delay (10 mins) - and then managed to get an update with some human interaction on the text messages! Whilst waiting, we looked at the reviews on here and our hearts sank, regretting not having checked in advance. BUT we have just had a lovely meal. It was not piping hot and I put the mains in oven at 160 for 10 mins to keep warm/warm up whilst we had the starter. Their bikes don’t seem to keep warm enough and I’d recommend some advice from Supper London - next time, I’ll have the oven warm for the delivery, we all learning how to do things differently!!

Late and cold

Last night was the second time I have used Supper and unfortunately the service was just as bad as the first time. Not only do you have to order food for 1.5 hours time, but on both occasions the food was delivered 40 minutes after the allotted order time. Food turns up lukewarm.

It’s a shame because they partner with some great restaurants (not all of which are available on Deliveroo or Uber Eats) but their service is so truly terrible I can’t use it again. I wish all restaurants partnered with Deliveroo or Uber Eats instead who actually have a delivery model that works at scale!

Cold Food, Bad Packaging, No Instructions

Wow, I really wish I had read the reviews on here before ordering from Supper! If you're in doubt, please believe the people who said the food arrives cold and in cheap packaging, because this is very true!
We decided to order through Supper for the first time last night because it was my birthday and we're still trying to stay safe, social distance etc. Since it was a special occasion, we thought we would try ordering a "gourmet" meal for delivery at home. Although it was delivered on schedule, that is about the only thing that Supper lived up to with their promise of an 'in-dining' experience. Everything was in cheap plastic containers and a couple of flimsy bags. There was clearly no attempt to keep anything warm or insulated so I'm not sure what they are referring to when they say they use 'the best technology available' to keep your food warm. We then spent the first 10 or so minutes just individually putting plates of food in the microwave. We ordered from Hakkasan and I can confirm, fish, duck and dim sum DO NOT reheat well.
There was also no labeling (so we had to guess what things were including a bunch of sauces which were supposed to pair with certain dishes) and no reheating instructions, which could've at least made the meal a little better. This is probably more of an issue with Hakkasan, but if you deliver people cold food that is supposed to be hot, it's the least you could do.
If this had been a regular Chinese delivery I would not have complained, but since we paid Hakkasan prices to basically get cheap Chinese takeaway, I'm very disappointed.
TL:DR- If you want to order something special that will arrive and be hot and tasty (and worth the money), don't order from Supper/Hakkasan!

Packaging needs rethink

With nowhere to go on a Friday night my partner suggested using Supper delivery. It is a great concept and fun to decide where to order from as well as what to order. We ordered cold starters and a pudding but the packaging needs a bit of rethinking. The main course food was cold but as I had black cod and my partner octopus it didn't need to be piping hot. If we had gone for meat dishes it might have been a problem. The packaging is cheap and nasty plastic trays which do not keep the food warm. This is a shame as the experience and cost is supposed to be premium. The delivery worked well for 10pm on a lockdown Friday so no complaints there. The food was tasty but somehow eating gourmet food as a home takeaway does not really equal eating out but it is a most welcome idea during lockdown. This is not for those eating on a budget. A takeaway costing over £100 might be thought a little silly.

A 50% discount and a refund of the…

A 50% discount and a refund of the delivery charge do not compensate for the stone-cold food and poor customer service we received tonight. I waited 20 minutes for the companies online chat who disappeared for 10 minutes at time while trying to help. I didn't get answers to the questions asked.
I would avoid using SUPPER.LONDON at all cost if you would like hot food, at home and on time.

Awful service

Awful service. Delivery 50 minutes late and only came after 4 calls with customer support. Customer support keeps saying 5 minutes when they obviously have no clue. Stay away from this service.

THE WORST!!

THE WORST!!! Everything went wrong and when it does they claim they can’t refund you even if you never get your food or it’s inedible or anything else until the restaurant approves it! So you are caught between the two and naturally nobody takes the blame and you are hosed. Hugely expensive and DREADFUL

Horrible experience...food delivered 2…

Horrible experience...food delivered 2 hours early so driver took back to restaurant...company worker said he would call restaurant and resolve....he called back 90 minutes later to say restaurant binned the food, no further food would be delivered and that they would charge us for the food...company worker said he really didn't care if we were upset....luckily UBER EATS delivers from the same restaurant so were still able to have the dinner we planned...best advice is to stay away from SUPPER London, all they care about is filling their bank account with money and not about the customer experience...that is clear from all the 1 star reviews they have on this site....

The worst delivery service in London.

This has to be one of the worst delivery companies in London. The wait times are ridiculous in comparison to uber eats and deliveroo, who have ALL the same restaraunts available on there! Absolutely no incentive to use this company. We waited for 2 and a half hours for a £180 food order, and it came ice cold. It was clear the restaraunt made the food and has to wait hours for the driver to collect. On top of all this, they have to have some of the rudest customer service I've ever, and they had the cheek to call my friend names over the phone because they asked for a refund! We have ordered from the same restaraunt on deliveroo (the bill actually came cheaper might I add), but this company is advertised as a michelin food delivery service, so we expected a michelin standard of delivery, which we did not get! My friend is still yet to receive their refund, and we were left feeling angry and appalled by the whole ordeal. My advice would be to avoid this company, and use deliveroo or uber eats

They mis-use your details

Once you use Supper, they have your details and then they start spamming you. So today I got an email:

"Fortnum's Bar at The Royal Exchange now delivers!".

I am sure they do. And I deliver too - I deliver fitting reviews on companies who misuse my details¬

Only gave 1 star as I had to and there's no minus.
Food cold wrong items items missed off no refund didn't even care.
Would never use again and would steer anybody away from this company.
Also there bike delivery riders look like they could do with a good wash.
