standard responce

Like most others, 1 star is far too much for coinbase support, I have tried to contact them five times, and I get the same standard reply that I have to verify myself before making any transaction. Seem s strange I have been making a couple of transactions for at least 12 months,

I wanted to add my bank account to make faster payments, and I made a bank transfer of 10 pounds to the advised account details to verify my bank account looks like they have taken my money without verifying my bank account. So off to the FCA I go.

Account activation

I have been trying to figure out what is going on with my account. I tried to set up my account trust and it said that I’m not able to add funds or add a bank account. They escalated my ticket and no advice or method of resolution was discussed. How hard is it to activate a account?

How can I put $ into this company's system when they won't communicate? Moving to BlockFi.com...

Paid money, received nothing

On September 7, I placed an order for $1000 worth of ANKR crypto. The money left my bank account and I’ve received nothing. No confirmation, crypto, nothing. I contacted customer “support”. What a joke. They keep telling me the money was credited on September 5 or asking me for a confirmation number (which I never got one). So I’ve been emailing them back and forth to no avail so far.
I just checked my emails. And again they ask me the same question (confirmation #) A little piece of advice: Stay away from these crooks.

I have been trying to get a problem…

I have been trying to get a problem solved with coinbase for six months. My account shows that it is Under Review and every time I contact support I get an email saying it is resolved, but it never is. Coinbase is the worst company in the crypto space.

Support at Coinbase is cruel joke

Support at Coinbase is cruel joke. I have sent dozens of support tickets but only get a bot, lots of money invested can't get out, the big problem is 2 step verification, that is glitchy, no way of contacting them to resolve this issue. They should have phone support in all countries, or get fined for not having. Please stay away at ALL COST, TERRIBLE!!!!!

Customer Support Does Not Exist
I tried getting into contact with an actual human being, but I only get automated emails that do not answer my questions in any way. Please do not get scammed by Coinbase like I did.

5 months with my money blocked by Coinbase

There is no customer service at all. Just a bot sending automatic responses. For 5 months I am trying to have my money back from my "in review" account and no solution has been given. There is no other way you can contact them, so if you have any problem you are screwed. European Authorities should check this kind of behavior.

Klag ikke over servicen - der er ingen...

This is how it works:
Get an account in Coinbase or CoinbasePro.
Transfer som some money to that account.
Do your trading (with pleassure, because it really works very well).

And then:

One day you wake up and you cant log into your account because:
"Sorry, account temporarily disabled. Please contact support."
(For security reasons - but they never asked me for permission, and I never asked them to do that.)

Ok, no problem. Just reactivate it - how hard can it be ?
You contact support from their contact page - and you get an automated response telling what to do, and in the end saying that when you have done all, you shall tell this to Coinbase by answering the mail you got.
Offcourse you do that, and what happens ?
You get another mail telling, that mails sent to that emailadress will not be replied (or even read...).
Well you send a new message about what happened, and you will get a reply telling that your message is sent to their experts and you can expect an answer/solution within 4-5 working days.
(I believe that no matter what you write in that message you will get the same answer - note, that till this point ALL communication has been automated answers from Coinbase...)

So far so good (well actually allready bad...).

Depending on how patient you are, you will probably wait for an answer for 5+ days.
Believe me: You will never get an answer!!! - Ok, I can't guarentee that, but I am still waiting for a reply on my first attempt - wich was made 2½ month ago...

(In my case I have lost like 70% of the value from the time Coinbase disabled my account till today (22 june -21) - and I can still not enter my account.)

After I realized that nothing will ever make them activate my account by the automated support, I tried to find a way to get to write to or talk with a real person.

NOTE: That is not possible!!!

No email and no phonenumber will allow me to get in touch with a person.

I tried to call (US) and found out that they only support people in US.
Ok, I tried to call UK and got through - for 1 sec and then the connection was shut down.
I tried the same to Ireland, and with exactly the same result as to UK.

Ok, I tried to "cheat" the system: Called US, answered that I was from US (in the very long menu that meets you when you call...) and at some point the menu asked for my phone number, and then I realized that they would call that number, so I would never get in touch with a real person, because Coinbase has made sure it can not happen.

It is worse than a scam, because it is a legal and real business, that anyone should trust, but they just make sure that they can not be reached - exept from US, UK and Ireland (I wonder if that is even possibly - I am not sure), and I am not even sure that they try to make my life a living hell - on purpose, but they do - It might just be the result of incompetence.

I hope offcourse that someone from Coinbase will react on this review, but I doubt that it will happen.

So the only option that is left for me is to sue Coinbase.

Been locked out of my account for well…

Been locked out of my account for well over a month or so now. They asked me to submit my ID, and I did just that. Now, I am legally the II, as I am named after my father. On my license, it shows '2nd' instead of 'II', and because of that, they won't verify my ID.

I have sent several tickets, and not a single one of them have been replied to other than the default "your ticket has been passed over to account services"... It's getting really old, and I just want my money back!

Terribly slow response time

Terribly slow response time. I've had 4 exchanges with Coinbase support representatives who clearly didn't read the preceding thread of information. Every time I speak to one, I have to re-explain my situation.

CLOSE TO EVIL ...

I don't like to use the word "EVIL" ... it sounds so extreme. But honestly, my Coinbase account was hacked FOUR weeks ago (I received a verification code which I didn't instigate as well as a notice that my password was changed). I called the number, locked my account, and have NO idea if my $25,000 is completely gone or if it's still there (although less now because of how crypto has been going the last four weeks). I've written several times - and simply WAITING for them to let me back in. Here's the rub, this company is making BILLIONS and could easily - and I mean SUPER easily - have a hotline number for cases such as mine. But instead ... NOTHING. Simply waiting for "email contact" as they said they'd investigate and get back to me. So yes, this is PURE, 100% greed. They sure let me set up my account in seconds - they had NO problem charging me CRAZY transaction fees (in the thousands total) ... but now, they can't help me? Really? It's been four weeks and NOTHING ... crickets. To say this is "bad business" doesn't do it - this is heartless ... absolutely awful.
