Just to clarify, we don’t offer a collection service — we operate as an online delivery business only. We deliver nationwide five days a week and use DPD because they provide full tracking, delivery-day notifications and a one-hour time slot.
Where it can be more difficult is buildings with a communal foyer/entrance hall. As noted in our FAQs, parcels may be left in a foyer or post room where other residents have access, so it’s important to be on hand to collect the delivery promptly.
We do appreciate your support, and we’re sorry the delivery side has let the overall experience down.

I appreciate the cooking tips and enjoy reading Valentine Warners variations on how to get the best out of a particular cut. They use DPD which in my area is very reliable. Been a customer for some time now and no complaints.

Consistently good quality meat. Well butchered, just the right amount of fat rather than excessively so to increase weight to boost cost at the expense of a greasy result. A lovely boned and rolled sirloin joint. Highly recommended by us.

The jury is still out
The jury is still out. We had a range of products, beef, lamb and pork and we have only tasted three so far. The beef strips which we made into Stroganoff were superb. The lamb chops were good but the rib-eye only average. The site is excellent and the range of products exciting. Delivery was spot on.We would be effusive if it wasn't for the rib-eye which was not as good as some competitors, including the finest range at a national supermarket. We want Swaledale to be successful so we emphasise this was one product and it wasn't bad, just average. So give them a try.

We’re really pleased the beef strips worked so well for your Stroganoff and that the lamb chops and delivery all hit the mark. It’s also genuinely helpful to hear your honest view on the ribeye.
Ribeye is a cut people rightly have high expectations of. We work with native, grass-fed cattle rather than animals selected purely for consistency of size and yield, which means flavour and character can vary slightly from one steak to another. That’s part of cooking real animals rather than standardised product.
