Dreadful after sales care
Bought a 9 month old discovery sport from Landrover north Glasgow in August 19. The sales person was Pauline Lindsay and I found her to be fabulous and efficient and extremely helpful even with some insurance difficulties encountered when she didn’t have to. From that perspective my experience was great. She no longer works there but my experience thereafter has been dreadful. The cover at the base of the boot over the spare wheel was damaged when I bought it and therefore Pauline advised she would order a new one. I’m not sure what happened but when I phoned to ask if it had arrived no one knew anything about it and told me it wasn’t there. I was asked to come up to the branch and they would take one out another car however it was the wrong colour - fair enough. I was advised by one of their managers directly that he would personally order it and give me a phone that night to confirm it. No phone call and no phone call for the next 4 weeks. I phoned back to enquire about it to be told the same manager would have to check the parts department to see if it was there and then phone me back to confirm the position. I asked to receive a phone call that day and it was confirmed that would happen. Again no call and no call to date. It seems all the attention is focused on the sale and no after care. If nobody phones I am obliged now to go to the branch and demand to speak to a senior manager - an action I would prefer to avoid and shouldn’t have to undertake. This really has soured what was actually a very positive experience and has left me having no confidence in the branch to action anything else in the future
Poor at best
Poor at best, laughable service team and management, trying to sell cars with 3 month warranty. Look at the other poor reviews and avoid.

Great experience at Volvo at Taggarts very professional salespeople very relaxed not pushy great deals
Paid for failed repair, and car was damaged in the process
We took our Volvo S60 to Taggarts Volvo Glasgow for a service and MoT in April this year. We specifically went here rather than our usual non-Volvo dealership so they could investigate the cause of an intermittent airbag warning light. Having paid £670 on the day (including £110 simply to plug in a diagnostic laptop), the car came back with scratches on opposite doors, as if something had been clamped against them. Four days later, the airbag warning light came back on.
My husband rang Taggarts to complain. He was told both the warning light and the scratches would be dealt with if he took the car back. After another half-day in the waiting area, the airbag repair hadn’t worked. The dealer said they would have to take the door apart to fix it properly. Having already paid £210 on the promise of the problem being fixed, he asked whether this would be done free of charge. The blunt answer was no. This wouldn't be so upsetting if we hadn't had to borrow part of the initial repair cost from relatives.
The dealership’s idea of repairing the paint scratches seemed to involve rubbing wax onto them. This did little to hide either scratch. To add insult to injury, we were then offered an unreasonably low cash sale price by a member of the sales team who claimed the lack of a full Volvo service history would damage its value. Three other main dealers disagreed in subsequent weeks, and we have now sold the car for a substantially higher price.
Our experience at Taggarts has soured my impression of Volvo as a brand. Based on our experience, I couldn’t recommend this dealership to anyone.
Sales and service excellent no pressures
Really professional sales team
Really professional sales team , not pushy, relaxed atmosphere, and treated us really great

I love my new Jaguar XE but I have to…
I love my new Jaguar XE but I have to sell it on.
My feedback focuses on two main areas.
The first is the collection of my approved used Jaguar XE car. A quick look at the Jaguar website makes you feel like that quality is assured and you are guaranteed a quality process and product. The 165 Multipoint Inspection and road test of my approve used jaguar should have highlighted that both sets of keys required new batteries, this information is supplied by a warning on the dashboard. My start stop function wasn't operating because the car battery wasn't holding a strong enough charge and needed replaced. The air conditioning was pumping damp air in to the cabin and causing so much condensation i had to drive home from the garage with all the windows down. Finally the bluetooth and incontrol system was incompatible with my Samsung phone.
After a couple of scheduled visits to the service centre most of the above was rectified. The staff at the service centre are excellent at what they do and addressed the majority of the issues without too much bother. The point here is that i should not have experienced any of the above issues. Some basic observations would have noted that the car was not ready for the customer let alone the advertised robust quality process.
The next issue is concerned with the compatibility of my mobile phone with the car. I have a Samsung Galaxy S9 with Android 9 (Pie) operating system. This is the up to date operating system on most Android phones. During the sale, the Jaguar compatibility checker was used and it confirmed compatibility. There is however small print which allows Jaguar not to maintain compatibility for new phones or operating systems. One thing to be clear on here is that I had the Phone and operating system before i purchased the car and at a point in time when Jaguar knew that the system was not compatible. The result is, after many many calls and complaints I am unable to connect my phone to my car or use the InControl system. Jaguar gave me many mixed messages about possible solutions and updates then finally told me there was nothing they could do and i would need to put up with the issue. At this point i was within the 1000 miles and or 30 day conditional exchange agreement. I asked for this to be invoked so that i could return the vehicle and get another that was fully functional. I was advised that i could not do this as there was no fault on Jaguar side rather that it was my issue for having an incompatible phone and that i "could not just decide i didn't like the car anymore".
My main disappointment is the corporately Jaguar knew there was a compatibility problem and either failed to inform their dealer network or the dealer network didn't care enough to act. The reliance potential customers place on things like the 165 multipoint inspection or exchange programmes is misplaced in my experience.
New Vehicle Sale
Absolutely fantastic experience with Volvo Glasgow, from start to finish. I can honestly say this is my only positive experience with a car sales person as i genuinely felt that Yvonne had our best interest at heart throughout the sales process as opposed to just being another sale / commission.
Would definitely recommend anyone looking to buy a new car to go to Volvo Glasgow and ask for Yvonne. If she's still with the team in 3/4 years time when I'm trading the car in, Yvonne will be my first port of call.

The single most worst experience in any retail setting ever
I had my Range Rover Velar recovered to Taggarts after the key seemingly failed. 2 days to fix they quoted, and a staggering £997.
Called after 2 days to arrange to collect my vehicle as promised to be told “we do t even know what the car is here for”.
Car had a steering lock on the wheel, the keys for which were inside the car. On four different occasions I told them this, each time they told me they weren’t aware.
My children were subjected to 6 minutes of profanity-filled chat from their workshop. Rather than apologise, the workshop manager told me I was lying.
One day, I was told that the car was ‘on skates’ and the master technician was, at that point in time, working on it. Each of the following three days I was told that the car had not yet been put on skates, and that it was a priority for the next day.
I was told on one occasion that my car would be ready for collection the following lunchtime and that they’d call me. When I called late afternoon to confirm before arriving to collect my car, mysteriously everyone who could tell me anything about my car was unavailable, and failed to call me back.
I requested to speak to the GM, Steven Richardson, 3 times to attempt to have the matter resolved. He ignored me on each attempt, even when I attended the showroom with my daughter.
I tweeted Taggarts Land Rover asking for a senior manager from the Group to step in. Volvo tweeted me back to say they’d passed this on. No-one followed it up.
I paid £997 in advance, at their insistence, and yet 5 weeks later, they want me to pay a further £1800 - all to recode some keys! They also say that if I remain dissatisfied with their service, they will remove the parts fitted to my car and return them to Land Rover. Surely such a premium brand do not deal in previously fitted parts? It’s massively concerning.
It would be uncouth to air my dirty laundry, but suffice to say Taggarts have caused me considerable financial costs, hardship, worry and distress.
This company’s incompetence, dishonesty and complete absence of any sort of values shines through. I’ve never experienced such a poor, disrespectful or horror show of a company.
Drive in don’t call...
I emailed in last week showing interest to purchase a car and have my vehicle part exchanged. Received and email from Nichola and responded. Days passed and no response, called in and asked for a call back and nothing. It may seem that Jaguar Land Rover are doing too well to sell to customers. No wonder why the company is in that state now. If you’re a sales person and not passionate for a sale or willing to deal with customers in an expedient manner, then maybe you’re in the wrong job, just saying. BMW responded quickly and are already moving forward.
