Originally, car bought in Oct 2022, after a safety recall in Feb 2023, found the car had been sold with a cracked steering rack. Tangelo took the car back to repair the rack. Even after 3 months of having the car and me chasing, the repair was not completed as there were no new steering racks available from Mercedes in Germany. After further discussions I had to pay extra monies for another vehicle. This vehicle seems to be performing ok at present. Throughout this debacle it was me who had to chase for feedback on progress, there was no proactive activity from Tangelo, I would not use them again, in fact I would never buy a car from distance over the internet again. I feel totally robbed and out of pocket through no fault of my own. Disgusting

Huge thanks to Chris Oakham again! After having my Audi A4 Avant for a couple of months, the air con developed a strange fault that, after doing some homework, required a software update from Audi to fix. Thankfully, it was all covered by the RAC warranty taken out at Tangelo with Matt and Chris when buying the car. Superb and faultless service as always!

Tom sold me my new BMW M140i and it was a pleasant experience from start to finish. Tom went the extra mile with anything and ensured I was happy with everything!

I had seen a car that I liked the look of on the internet and my wife and I decided to visit your Aylesbeare site to have a look, we were greeted by Chris who was very helpful and informed us that the car we wanted was off site but he would get it there for the next day, when we returned we did a test drive and were very pleased on return from the drive we had a chat with Chris and Mathew and did a deal with our old car in part exchange. On collection a few days later we were greeted by Luke who handed the car over and was very helpful. Overall the whole experience was great and also we were kept up to date through out.

I have been looking for a 4 wheel drive Tiguan for a while. I saw one on Autotrader with Tangelo. I met with Nick Boyles who was extremely helpful showing me the functionality of the vehicle, going through all the paperwork and extras. He even stayed an hour late to help me complete the relevant documentation.

Throughout the week his communication was impeccable. I was able to use email and WhatsApp to take photos of my part-exchange vehicle and sign any remaining forms.

Compared to other car buying experiences I have had the process was seamless thanks to Nick and the vehicle was cleaned to an immaculate condition. I was very happy overall and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Tangelo to family and friends.

I had previously bought a new car from Tom last year and it was a great experience. On Monday this week I rang up about another new car I was interested in and I drove away with it on Tuesday afternoon. Tom is extremely likable (unlike most salespeople) and the whole thing was painless. Amazing experience, efficient, friendly - no negatives at all. Also, shout out to Emma who works closely with Tom to push these sales through - she was amazing as well!

Never has buying a new car been so easy with excellent communication at all stages from Chris right up to the day we collected our new car and met in person making us feel very welcome immediately.
Chris was such a pleasure to deal with on the day showing us around the car and guiding us through the process answering all questions thoroughly and professionally.
We cannot recommend Tangelo and Chris enough for all their help.

Great experience from start to finish. From the first phone call to Luke Robinson he was on the ball. Answered any questions I had about the vehicle and gave a great detailed personal video of the car.

He was great at communicating all the requirements before I made my 170 mile journey down to the office to pick up my car. Luke was great and sorted everything out for an easy hand over when I got down there.

Picking up up the car Chris Oakham was great at showing me the car and leaving me to have a look around it by myself. We then signed the paperwork and as easy that I was on my way with my new M135i.

Great experience with these guys and couldn’t recommend them enough.

I have recently brought a new car having had a bad experience previously with buying a car, I was very apprehensive about purchasing another one but I cannot fault the excellent customer service that I received from Chris and Matthew. Chris didn’t try to force me into anything I didn’t want and kept me updated regularly by telephone on the progress of my purchase he was very kind and understanding and went the extra mile if I had to buy another car I would definitely get in contact with Chris

Such a pleasure to deal with. I purchased a Jeep Renegade as Tangelo are in Exeter which is over 100 miles away, I couldn’t really check the vehicle over. I spoke to Chris and Brad both put my mind at ease to deal with this company. They arranged a fair price on my trade in, did all the dealings via email and phone. I paid for delivery ( Gary dropped the car off lovely bloke ), he picked up the px and drove it back. My Jeep is perfect, couple of stone chips chris pointed out in my personal video were have sorted before delivery. Car looks great drives great. Really good experience wouldn’t hesitate to buy from these people again.

Tom Davies really went above and beyond to look after us. We were really looking for a bespoke car and he was selling it. He arranged a full video tour and answered all our questions and gave us the reassurance to proceed to purchase the car which was just a few months old. A part exchange was managed giving us a competitive price for our car we wanted to sell. The new car arrived with a driver who spent time taking us through this newer model as we were transitioning from manual to automatic. A top class service here which really was way above our expectations for selling and buying a second hand car. Thanks Tom and to your colleague Emma, we will be back when we need our next upgrade.

The whole thing from start to finish was just great. We were looked after wonderfully by Chris Oakham and Matthew Heavens, who were experienced, knowledgeable, patient and kind.
We made an appointment to see our chosen car at Sidmouth Road and it was ready and waiting next to the office when we got there. We had dogs with us so it was lovely to see that the customer parking was all in the shade. Chris offered us coffee, and water for the dogs.
A quick test drive followed by a leisurely chat and we had a deal we were all happy with - no hassle, no pressure and plenty of reassurance that we could pick up the phone anytime with any after sale issues.
The car was prepped the next working day and ready to pick up the day after.
A very quick, easy and relaxing way to buy a second hand car.

I don’t usually feel compelled enough to write a customer review, especially for a car purchase as my experiences in the past have always been poor or just okay. However I can’t recommend Tangelo enough - I got a fantastic and competitive deal for my car but it was really the great service I received from the team (shout out to Chris and Matthew!) that swung my decision. Friendly and authentic but also professional and respectful at the same time. Importantly, Chris always did what he said he would, and promptly. This is despite a few delays and changes from my side - I never felt pressured or rushed.

This is the first time I’ve ever bought a car online and I was a little worried at first but after dealing with the team, my mind was put at ease immediately. The information I received including the walk around video showing every honest detail of the car (including scrapes and marks) as well as the professionalism, really built a great level of trust and confidence. Exeter is not far from where I live but at no point did I feel the need to visit the showroom. I am a research nerd and the great reviews on Trust Pilot also helped immensely.

I love the new car so I’m not planning on upgrading for a while, but when I do, Tangelo will definitely be one of the first places I visit.
